Thank you for your elaborations...I think the text is clear of the importance, the essence of Jesus' life, in his sacrifice of Himself for the LIFE of the world. As a pastor, I have felt being the channel of His grace in the Eucharist in stating "the body...the blood" for YOU, accentuating the personal as well as assuming the "you all" of the text. It touches me as I look into the face of the receiver.

@ 21.52 This is jarring language. No one speaks in this way except for Jesus We remain/abide only in Jesus who will speak of abiding also in chapter 15 with the reference to the vine and the branch.
Really looking forward to next week's discussion in Mark 7 where Jesus will literally yell at the Pharisees 'presumed self-righteousness. Specifically looking forward to your take on the Corban gift and how that might apply in today's context. Blessings on your week!

Great insights as always, Dan. Thank you. The next episode definitely brings up some interesting points, especially as people in the reading struggle with Jesus’ message.
