Welcome to the BMW F80 M3 driving experience. My car is a 2018 F80 M3 Black 7sp DCT (no mods/tunes). I drive my M3 all year round. It is winter here, so snow tires are on the M3 now. I could only fully appreciate my M3 after attending the M3 Performance Driving School in Geer SC. There I was able to take the M5, M4, M3, and M2 to their limits I could not imagine on the street. I am more of a long-distance driver and enjoy the smooth power delivery on the highway. Once you get to know how the car communicates back to you (through the steering, lateral motion in your seat, throttle), snow and rain driving is predictable with proper tires. I have a BIG smile any day I drive my M3. That wrap you have is eye-catching.......I almost got the orange M3, but my wife said oh no...Nuff said. I wish you all the best! Have you ever tried driving the car with stock tires in the snow? If so, how did that work out?
@@tahirbaksh Yes. In the snow say 3 inches will lose traction fast when going up a incline. Stopping distance increase and control of the car is not safe. Do not drive with summer tires in the winter
Amazing car and awesome wrap and kit. I'm surprised you didn't go for the icon led's. I have an m4cp, deal breaker was icon led's - black with red merino leather. I've kept mine stock other than rear spoiler. Great video and helpful for those thinking about it. I just jumped into the m4cp from an rs5 and knew very little but loved the look. Miss the quattro but the m4cp is so much more a drivers car. Just got to be super sensible in the winter! I have 2 young kids and must say space in rear is really great, even for 2 adults.

I dislike the steering in the '15 year model I have. Also wish there were a few more places to put things like in my E92, but other than that I love these cars!

The market had dropped substantially due to the pandemic and it was the going rate for M3 comps! They’re still around this price now too - perfect time to jump in one!
@@cartorque6258 that's fair, yeah I've been looking at them for about a year now and you're right on the depreciation part... They haven't moved here in the US. Curious to see if the new gen will change that ever so slightly.

Do you mean what year are we in - 2021, or year of car - I am guessing 2017 onwards. But he says just under 40k then says 37k so I am guessing prob 2016/2017/2018.

Good question. For me F80 Comp all day and keep the extra cash to either modify the car how you want or just enjoy the saving!
16:10 - it's probably more the wrap than the car itself that's getting all the wannabe racers against you. I have the same car in a major metropolitan area in the US but the color is mineral grey and, after two years, have never had anyone try to race me.
The wrap definitely brings more attention but before I put the wrap on I had the same issue! 🤯
The color of the vehicle and the abundance of performance cars in your city may have something to do with it. I have an Austin yellow M4 and live in a relatively "smaller" city and I've had at least 12 different people try to race me in 1 year of owning the vehicle; 11/12 of which were beat up/modified accords/civics and mustangs lol..... They would literarily floor the gas pedal at a green light for no reason when I'm minding my own business....
