The M3 makes sense as a dad car. It does all the family stuff, plus Connor actually drives and tracks his cars. It's the best of all worlds.
Conor is a hero. A genuinely lovely guy, glad he shared his m3 with you. The 911 is a whole different ball game though..

I just came across this video as I'm in the market for an M3/M4 (it's been a lifelong dream to own one). My heart says M4. Head says M3. I have two kids in booster seats now so this video was immensely helpful!
I don’t think you can go wrong with either car, these M3s are brilliant. Shame I’ve not received a M4 yet but as someone who’s daily driven a DB9 with young children for 2 years I can confirm you don’t actually NEED 4 doors 😅
It's taken me 7 years to convince my wife the M3 is actually a suitable family car. I'm opening a another can of worms with the M4 consversation! 😂😂

Fellow Dad here, deciding between a 440i gran coupe or F80 M3. Head says the 4, heart says M3!
If you can comfortably afford it… always follow your heart 😉
Get the M3. It will always garner respect no matter how old it is. The 440i will be old hat once the next generation of 4 series is out.
Nice one, was also an option 4 us... But in the end, as u said, the heart decided, not the numbers on paper. So now we have an Alfa romeo giulia quadrifoglio verde with 510 hp as dadcar, an it is awsome! Kind of little family - ferrari, it feels so 😊

I absolutely love these. The wide arches and stance is stunning. I can't get over the dreadful noise they make though. Sounds like a 3cylinder fiesta. Such a shame. I think I'll go for the e92 m3. Yes it's a fair bit slower and doesn't look quite as good but they make an epic noise.

Awesome! That’s my hope with these videos, real world focus on actually using them with a family rather than just throwing them around track which were unlikely to do most of the time :)
@@dadcars I’m going to have a wee one on the go soon so I’m hoping by mid to late next year the M3 happens (depending if my plans go how I want them to) but it’s going to happen one day for sure but it’s great to know it’s family ready. I’ve subscribed so I can keep my eye on more of your videos ❤

Then you simply pay £5 to the main event organiser on the day at the gate. Or you can DM me on Instagram. If you simply want to attend and use general parking you can just turn up and pay on the day as well :)

Test drove the M4 comp back to back with the mustang GT and although the M4 is a better car in almost every aspect. It just didn't excite me. So I voted with my heart not my head and stuck to the Mustang. Like you said you have to love and want the car.

They do, I'm considering one but I'll wait for your review. I'm curious to know how the competition cars ride. Did the M3 feel too stiff? Would you say it's a comfortable daily car despite being a competition?

I am considering getting one of these as my Dadcar to sit alongside the current fleet, but what about boot practicality for a pram? Being pushed to an suv but trying to avoid!

Well, the newest M3 is available as a wagon. If you can get your heart to like the front end, you have the perfect car ;)
Side note: Actually while writing the Alpinas came to mind, also wagons. Guess would also makes to check out as a Dad car :)
Really is no excuse for a SUV when you can have a shooting break is there!
What was the ride like? That's the thing I've heard is it's downside. Too hard for daily driving and motorway cruising apparently.
Firm for a 4 door BMW but good compared to sports cars

Any Dadcar recommendations for a newborn's rear facing baby seat?
You want one with inserts. Like little mini booster inserts that you can swap around as baby grows. You can get inserts that go around their head to support their necks as well 🤗

This is not a good family car, it's not even a good car for a single guy who wants even basic levels of comfort. The cabin is very noisy due to the lack of insulation, the tyres make an insane amount of noise over rough UK roads, most likely due to the huge wheels, it feels like you're riding on the rims themselves. You get lots of wind noise at just 30mph. It's great for a country road blast and decent on smooth motorways, horrendous around town.
G80 m3 looks ugly f80 looks better
