I got to spend over a week with a F80 BMW M3 ZCP!
Ended up falling in love with the car, put over 1000 miles on it, took it on a road trip. It was awesome! check out what it's like to live with an M3 as I show you guys all the details, cool features, weird and bad things, and my general opinion on living with the car.
That red leather is gorgeous with the mineral white.

Regarding the HUD...go into iDrive settings for displays and adjust the TILT for the HUD and it will then be viewable with polarized sunglasses. That is the purpose of the TILT, which most people do not know.

Since you love the F80 M3, maybe time to trade in the S4 for the upcoming G20/G80 M3 when it comes out.
I'm very very interested to see what the new M3 is like. Especially if it has awd. But no plans to get rid of the S4 yet. Instead I could just add a F80 M3 to the garage....🤔

You were revving I’m efficient mode so the valve was closed. Switch to Sport or Sport plus and you will get the sound.
There’s no “comfort access” to the back or I believe passengers door due to safety to the driver. If your walking up to your car and someone is waiting for you to open it so they can hop in next to you and potentially rob you, it ain’t happening. However if you gotta put stuff in the back seat the 1/30 times you get in your car, then just press the button on the key. I’m a pretty firm believer in the safety in this feature. However you can modify it out
16:03 you dont need to have traction off to have the heads up display show the RPMs bar. You can go to the settings and configure it to show it at all times.

17:33 The M3s fueltank can store up to 60 LITERS of fuel. That is why you have 2x 1/3, because 2x 1/3 means that every 1/6 stands for 10 Liters of fuel.
The reason that it doesnt work in the US is that you think in gallons, inches, feet and miles.
Oh. I see. In America we use freedom units, aka gallons. So I have no clue about 10 liters haha. Thanks for the explanation tho!

I've honestly never cared about having a carbon fiber roof. I actually appreciate having a sunroof. I really want an M4, it's just soo hard to find an M car with a sunroof. BMW and Audi are both my favorites car brands. I love the S5/RS5 and appreciate that they actually keep their sunroofs. I'm so stuck between buying an Audi or a BMW. Hardest decision ever
A flash tune is a must on these cars it feels like night and day with how smooth it delivers power and with the transmission flash

perfect review just in time actually as I'm looking at either getting a GT350 or f80 as my next daily. In your opinion (as a daily) what would you go with as you've spent a lot of time with both cars. I'm in love with the gt350 and it makes amazing sounds lol, but I i might be leaning towards the f80 as it has more creature comforts (sound system, interior quality, 4 doors, more storage space, DCT vs. manual etc). I used to daily an e63 m6 with a v10 and miss the bmw platform haha.
I really wish they would have made this generation of M3 with an all wheel drive option...I know I’m definitely in the minority but when you live somewhere with snow you don’t even think about these types of cars.

@@LegendInThaMakin we don't get the rs4 here. And the 330/340 is not the same level of performance. It's inevitable that the M3 is gonna be awd, M5 just went to it. And it's bmw making the decision, not "us"
EddieX The B58 340I is a car everyone sleeps on. With the right tunes and other performance modifications you could make it a 400 HP AWD car very easily.
EddieX I honestly think it’s better to go with the same AWD system as the F90 M5 because you can switch to RWD if people so choose.

The back doors do have comfort access and open at the same time as the fronts. You have to go into the menu and select for the the rear doors to open simultaneously as the fronts.

You can default the car to display M heads up through the iDrive - Choosing M1 & M2 .

I have a 2018 m3 cs and i love it.
These cars are mild and are meant to be tuned. For less than $1k you can get a Stage 2 tune, suspension coding, and you have a completely different car.

Should mention what year that f80 is. Looks like a 17 or 18 lci model. Which would explain that burble in sports plus mode. Great review tho
I own a E90 M3 in Alpine white, 6spd Manual, Slick top. Love the V8 sound, it's not a fast car I consider it more of a drivers car. However I overall love the look of the F80 M3, exterior/interior and technology. I don't like how it sounds. But the torque on it is amazing due to those turbos. Have been really considering getting into one. Only drawback is that even used they are selling for too much.
Single turbo or equal length exhaust fix it, search it up

Yea that’s the one thing I don’t like with the 3 series, they want you to buy a 5 series for all that doors. My 08 550i has all doors with comfort access. My moms x3 also doesn’t have the rear doors with comfort access.

If the comfort access for the backseat is a deal breaker, you're buying an M car for the wrong reasons.
Always do a cold start with the exhaust-flaps open. The difference is night and day😉thank me later.
Ps:for those that don’t know, switch on ignition (hit start button once) , then switch drive ve mode from efficient to sport or sport-plus, blip the throttle (you should hear the exhaust valves opening up). Press down on brake and hit Start button.

Great video; as an owner of this vehicle it is a really great car. The exhaust might be hit and miss at times. The two issues I have with the car is the fact that the drive mode defaults to efficient every time you restart the car. And the comfort access can be quiet annoying at times as the trunk would open on it’s own at time, happens very often when washing the car.

Just with the F80 M3 sounded a bit better than a Fiat Uno straight piped. The design and style is killer but the C63 v8 rumble just wins it for me but I imagine the driving dynamic of the M3 is superior

Eddie i know you tall like me did you find the entry space annoying to get into the m3 i mean to small of an area to get in and out of thats always been my problwm with sedans being a tall guy,
Not horrible. Front seats are fine! My viewpoint might be slightly skewed after having to get into cars like the i8 and R8 so much, but no complaints about the M3 for me

How would the m3 handle in the snow/ice? Good daily?
I imagine it would be horrible in the snow and ice. Just based on how it handles in the dry. too tail happy and RWD, even with winter tires. I would daily this car if I lived somewhere constantly sunny and warm. Not here in Michigan for me
I daily my supercharged E92 M3 in Wisconsin year-round and it does incredibly well on snow tires. But the F80 has gobs more torque so it’s probably a different story for that fact alone.
Yeah! It's the absurd torque that I think it would be unusable. Now I haven't tried it so maybe someone who has tried could comment. But my conclusion is drawn based on my experience of the car in the dry and rain. Kudos for dailying the e92 tho 🙌
EddieX Honestly if I ever move to an F80, I’ll probably run it in the winter too. Just need to be extremely careful with the throttle. I just can’t get over the sound since I’m coming from the glorious S65 and don’t think it’s worth $30k over what you can get a supercharged E92 for these days.

It wasn't heavy enough to set off the alarm.
Shaocheng Pei I always put a backpack on the front passenger seat, sometimes with big bottles of milk inside. Never causes a problem in my 3 series.
