I think a really cool speedrun you could try is all recipies%! Start the game and you have to make every recipe that is represented by a different sprite in the menu! (so copius mushroom skewers is different than regular mushroom skewers, but mighty mushroom skewers wouldn't need to be included)
it literally isn't possible, the most that is possible is scw into shrines off the great plateau and that's it. The main reason is that cutscenes don't activate frame 1 but voiding out does. This means that if you are in a cutscene area but also off the great plateau, it will prioritize voiding out over the cutscene.
At 14:10 you say "the Super Mario Odyssey music coming in, big fan of that game..." but this song was written well before SMO and it's only used there as an homage to the fantastic racing game Super Mario Kart made for SNES in 1992. The name of the song is Mario Circuit Theme!
Oo nice, i would really love a TAS tool for this, like trackmania has, with a bruteforce script and everything, because now these btt speedruns are not consistant and they can differ seconds, everything from not setting up slate storage, to a clip being slightly after / before where they would usually be
It would be amazing to run thousands of concurrent BoTW games at once, with slightly mutated moves from the best known ones. It would select the mutation that gives a better time than the original, and keep evolving from there. Of course, these concurrent games would need to be broken into small segments for the mutations to give more of a chance of actually working.
@@levdue6310 there is a way, if you record everything thats happening in the world, like items, mobs moving, weather etc, you could save that as a bruteforce file and bruteforce random inputs on that and see improvements on triggers you have placed.
@@exactspace yeah thats the thing i mean with bruteforcing, tho it doesnt necesairlly need to run at the same time, it can be as an iteration, so say like 50 iterations per second is 50 runs “mutated” by the original one once every second, much more recource friendly

If it is allowed for different clips to have different # of hearts, could it be theoretically impossible for the two clips to happen in an actual run because Link might die or something? For example, if one clip has lost hearts down to 1 due to the cold, and then it goes to 2 or 3 hearts for the next clip and Link loses a heart, that would have been a death in a real run. Do they make sure that staying alive is at least possible when splicing clips?

I imagine the "plateau skip" will be the new Wind Waker "wall skip", it will be found eventually.

Bruteforce does not work for open world games, and there is somewhat of a tas tool.

Yea splicing without item/heart consistency doesn't make any sense to me.
They should make that sure, but if you go from 3 to 2 its no biggie get what I mean

in a real run they would likley pick up the spicy peppers by the camp they get the shield/torch, adding no more than 10 secs to the run
every shrine refills your hearts, and the run never takes enough damage to have died before another refill or before eating the atk buff meal
