It's certainly pay to win, but I think we can do better: - when you die, you have to use a resurrection crystal to continue. You get a free crystal 2 hours after using your last one, but if you want to have more stocked up you have to purchase them. - spirit orbs are absolutely key items, necessary to level up. Which is why it's a perfect opportunity to squeeze out some money from our players. You'll need a shrine shard to enter a shrine. You get a free shard every 20 minutes, but the free ones cap out at 5, and they don't build up if you're waiting for a resurrection crystal. Also if you happen to die in the shrine or fail to solve the puzzle first try, you get kicked out and need another shard. But don't worry, they're cheaper than resurrection crystals. - normally you can only hold one page of any type of item. But if you purchase an emerald of stashing, you can temporarily increase this. Emeralds of stashing can also be used to push the wallet capacity past the default 200 rupees, hold more than 50 arrows (total), or carry more than 3 different weapons or bows! If you still have the items when your emerald runs out, the items will be stored away for you. You can access all the locked items from a particular emerald usage again by using 3 emeralds. Make sure to use another emerald before time runs out, you wouldn't want to need to spend even more emeralds, would you? (Emeralds do not build up and can only be purchased) - some places should feel more luxurious. That's why we introduced passes for all sorts of areas, from Zora's domain to korok forest and even flowerblight Island! These passes can be found randomly, or you can purchase them individually, but we tell the players that the best deal is to buy the bundle which gives you one of every pass. Each pass lets you visit the area for 30 minutes at a time (except Hyrule castle, which is 10 minutes) - last but not least, you have to create an account before starting. You cannot use the same email as another account, and accounts cannot be deleted. We need the account so we can track the players and give them targeted ads, but we tell them it's to improve the play experience, whatever that means.
I guess that makes five ways you can damage Dark Beast, but only three will allow you to get the final hit. (I assume Urbosa's Fury wouldn't have worked there either, if he didn't have the Twilight Bow he would have had to use an ancient arrow for that.)
Can’t wait for the low/no equipment shrines. Honestly I’d love to see you run through shrines doing creative new solutions that you’ve never done before. It’s a lot of fun
Amazing Video As always Limcube! As someone who also plays Genshin and Botw, I've always thought of what it would be like if you could do summons in botw. You made a perfect system to it. Genshin is really tough without some characters, especially If you can't afford them. Also I just wanna say, Its amazing how fast you beat that Geovishap! Oh I wish I had Hu Tao and Yelan!!!

You should be able to use low tier items because the game lets you use up to 4 star items without gacha. Like, you could add an acceptable loot pool up to traveler tier items, but limit to only one pick up until that PICKED up item breaks.
It also never was an option for the challange, but it is proven to be possible with maxed hearts and a perfect daruk rush (i think thats the name), so a master sword only run would be possible

The ones I’ve seen allow for so called mandatory items such as the lady cloths, the zora breast plate (other runs require all divine beasts to be defeated before the Calamity), arrows given to you to but only to defeat the boss. They’ve also allowed for sale of ALL Amibo items including armor. Other Amibo only runs I’ve seen only permitted the use of each Amibo once but you put other impressive limitations on yourself and I’m not critiquing/finding fault at all. Despite the randomness of Amibo drops perhaps speedrun category rules can be made for Amibo only runs? I imagine a list of prescribed mandatory items outside Amibo drops would be created? Perhaps the Nintendo Switch shirt could be on that list since it was originally a obtained for early orders, I.e. something that was paid extra for and is a fourth wall breaking thing kind of like Amibo are fourth wall breaking. Also Dark Beast Gannon is mostly an interactive cut scene you can fail so perhaps it gets left out of an Amibo only speedrun category? Rules governing the use of Wolf Link would have to be setup as well for an Amibo only speedrun depending on how useful Wolf Link might be in achieving the objectives of the run and there could be different Amibo only speedrun categories involving Wolf Link considering Wolf Link’s health is determined by the players completion of Twilight Princess.
finally someone thay dont call genshin a full on botw clone!!! generally to me the stamina abd gliding mechanics should not be gated to just botw, they should became a staple for open world games tbh

Interestingly, I did the opposite. I played through Genshin Impacts content (up until the 3.0 Content) without pulling - not even the "free" Noelle. I can recommend it. Its a decent challenge and gives you a VERY straight forward game plan. There is no question as to "which" char you'll level - because you only have six. The MC, Amber, Lisa, Kaeya, Barbara and Xiangling. Pluuuuus any Event chars you get from whatever is going on - not gonna lie, free Fischl helped a lot.

Would you be willing to explain the weapon durability bonus on weapons? Attack bonus and quick shot are easy to calculate but durability up isn’t really explained well.
Ultimately I feel like Genshin is a wonderful game buried under a lot of toxic unfun systems. I think if the monetization were a lot less predatory and the game wasn't built on a never ending cycle of FOMO, then you could just explore the world at your own pace, build characters and teams without having to gamble on getting the things you want, and just have fun.
Genshin is actually really f2p friendly. The pity system, op 4 star characters, content being really easy to clear and being story+event heavy and not having pvp/leaderboards makes it a very very good experience without spending a penny. And if you spend a little every month on welkin/bp you can pretty much collect every single character in the game.
Interesting idea, but inherently flawed since you can find weapons and get characters in Genshin without ever rolling the gacha. And the fact that Genshin isn't pay to win. It's actually harder to progress and level characters if you have a bunch of them. The time investment grows significantly. So.. it's kinda pay to lose in a way.
If an attack hits you from the front, it can be parried. Bombs arrows and the explosion the arrow causes can each be parried separately. Lightning and fire can't be parried because lightning strikes from above, and fire burns from below.
