- Our experience on the Singapore Airlines A380 business class flight from London to Singapore was exceptional, making it one of the best flights we have ever taken. The service provided by the airline was perfect, and we were particularly impressed with the A380's business cabin, which we consider to be the best across the entire Singapore Airlines fleet. No champagne ! Outrageous 😮
Very good review and video 👍🏻 10 days to go before we fly to Singapore on this a380 in business class can’t wait and thanks for the review 👍🏻
Thank you! I am sure you will enjoy the flight. Singapore Airlines service is very constant.
Nice video and very relaxing music too!
I like how there’s a white orchid in the toilets.
Excellent review
Great to have you describe everything, but can't hear you over the music. Please have one or the other.
One key improvement of these seats over the previous generation (and the 77W/long-haul A359 seats) is you don't need to convert the seat into a bed manually. Just push a button and the seat is instantly a bed!
Thanks Paolo. And agree, this is much more flexible and easy to adjust the seat position.
Good video. Just want to know more about the A380 business class seats. Can I choose to recline at whatever angle I like between 90-180 degrees, or do the seats only have 3 preset levels (ie. take off, lounge. sleep)?
I hope I am also correct in assuming SQ doesn't have any business class seats on its A380 that still require passengers to physically stand up and fold down the back to convert seats into flat beds (like those on their A350).
Thanks.
Thank you! And please subscribe for more videos - upcoming China Airlines A350.
To your first question - yes, you can recline the seat in whatever angle you want. And it is pretty responsive as well.
For the second one, you are correct, this is the only business class seat they have in A380. And it is not the same as the (newer) A350 long haul. The bed can be reclined in the "traditional way" by just pressing the button. I don't mind too much the A350, but you are right, just seating down and reclining is more comfortable.
hi, how comfortable is the a380 business class (both the seat and the bed) compared to the a350 one? is it as comfortable?
anyway nice trip report, thank you for reviewing both the product as well
Hi HuyGiaT. Personally I prefer the A380 one, I found it more comfortable and private. The bed is also a bit sofer. The A350 has 2 different business cabins - regional and long haul (see both reviews on our channel). The long haul one is great for extra space, but the bed is on the very hard side.
@@PremiumTravelClubthank you so much for replying!
also for the seat reference, how tall are you? Did you find any discomfort from this new seat when you sleep? thanks
@@AvGeekHuy about 180cm. No discomfort, it may be if you are taller though.
Is £2100 one way a good price in business class lhr-sin with this product?
It is a so and so rate for one way. Can you try oslo-singapore or stockholm-singapore? It should be a way better rate.
@@PremiumTravelClub thanks for the tips! Oslo is about £1k cheaper but requires a 1hr50m layover at lhr which is probably not long enough ! I’ll keep looking though!
@@A380_Flyer 1h50 is ok, and I think you refer at the first flight in the morning from OSL - a very small chance for delays.
Audio! I want someone telling me about their experience! and what I'm watching! I don't want to be trying to read subtitles whilst also trying to view the video.
Thanks for feedback! We are experimenting some new videos with text and voice as well. Stay tuned and let us know the feedback after!
does the seat recline into a full flat bed with the press of a button or does the staff have to come do it for you manually?
Yes, it does recline from the button. This is better than the A350 long haul configuration.
How do you rate the a380 business compared to the 777?
I would go for their A380, I find the seats more comfy.
Is it comfortable in bed mode ?
I personally find it more comfortable than the A350. The only minus is the relatively small footrest.
The footrest placement has attracted much criticism. Whoever designed it (to maximise seats in the cabin, no doubt) ought never be allowed to go near an aircraft business or first class cabin again.
They can learn a couple of things from Emirates indeed :)
Actually only 12 x a380s will be returning to service. Shame, because they are the best.
I guess they are not cost efficient vs newer planes.
How much was this flight? I looked recently and was £5k each
Hi Stewart. It depends where you start and by the period of the year. If you start directly from London, the return trip starts from about £4-5K.
@@PremiumTravelClub yeah it was from london, £5k i was seeing. Crazy prices nowadays
@@stewartmathers465 Demand and offer :) I am seeing a slow down or at least a bit more stable prices in Q4.
@@stewartmathers465 Fly from Oslo. It's £3k and (amusingly) flies via London on the exact same plane. Thank UK airport taxes which don't apply for connecting flights, at least partly
Yuk! No thanks!
Which is your favourite business class?
The worst Business class seats I have ever encountered. Rock hard and your legs go off at a sharp angle to sleep. Service and crew were fantastic but these seats are a shocker. Never again SQ A380. I can’t believe people think this is a great seat. Obviously haven’t travelled on many other J class airline products!!
I guess how you look at the hard product is very personal, everyone has different opinions. From SQ, I like the most their A350 long haul seats, but the majority of people would choose those as the last option.
