  • Singapore Airlines Business Class Review
I have flown almost a couple of million miles on all different carriers but one that has been on my bucket list for a long time is Singapore Airlines which has been voted the best airline in the world many times including this year so come join me on this dream trip in Singapore’s Long Haul Fine dining I mean business class
Our starting point is the LAX International or Tom Bradley Terminal. After a quick security stop, you enter into a large modern terminal, head upstairs to the top level where star alliance Gold and business class travellers get to experience the LAX Star Alliance lounge which for 2023 has also been voted the worlds best Alliance lounge. Inside theres lots of different seating options including a balcony overlooking the concourse, dining area as well as a bar which has an extensive menu. I was really impressed with the number of items they carry. Along with a standard buffet there is a noodle bar where you can build your own bowl. Have a long stay and need fresh air, head out into the patio to enjoy some outdoor air with your food and drink. This is a lounge that I’d have no problem connecting through LAX for.
Once aboard you will be greeted with a smiling face, It was nice to see the the female attendants wearing the kebaya synonymous to the Singapore Airlines Singapore Girl branding.
    LAX-NRT-SIN Boeing 777-300ER Business Class
Some wise advice for you, I’m not sure about the other classes but in business on SIN, Bring your best appetite because not only are you going to see some amazing dishes but the food is so plentiful, the most I’ve ever experienced on any airline. After the white linens are laid down as well as some nice elegant silverware, the appetizer is served which in this case was Marinated shrimps with a newer lemon aioli on top go a sale with fresh baby radishes and turnips. This was delish and big. On some of the other legs the appetizer is chicken satay with a peanut sauce. These are really good as well and for some that could be your whole meal plus they ask if you want more. There are different entree options for each meal service however whats unique to Singapore airlines is a program they call Book the Cook where you can go online and manage your meals and choose from a larger menu. You’ll get the most choices flying out of Singapore, I counted 42 different meal options available from Sin-NRT.
For this leg I wanted to stay a little lighter so no duck confit, no braised beef instead I went from the wonton noodles with BBQ. Oh yeah, it did not disappoint. This would not be the last bowl of noodles I had on these flights. Best thing is that the crew are always working seamlessly providing basically one on one service as they have to prep so many different meals at different times yet when it arrives its piping hot. I really don’t know how they manage it.
Now one reason why I chose this routing instead of a non stop is that when flying out of Tokyo, you get a Hanakoireki option with no less than 11 beautifully presented Japanese courses. Can yo believe this is on a plane. The menu is different flying out to Singapore or out to LAX. Here’s the kicker, after eating my way though this edible canvas, turns out that was just the warm up even though we started with the chicken satay again. My eyes almost popped out of my head when they presented another box of food.
Singapore Airlines…The number one airline in the world. It takes a lot more than just good food and lounges to not only capture the title but to maintain over the years is no easy feat in this ultra competitive industry. Why are they so good? From what I experienced its the culmination of not just the big things but lots of the small details that you might even notice right away until you fly back to back with another carrier where you say, ohhh. They did this or they didn’t do this. The crew operated with such great professionalism, it was like watching a choreographed sports play, seamless execution, like reading each others mind. There delivery of any message or direction was clear and concise yet seemed like you were on a personal level and most of the time before you could even ask for something, they were already suggesting. Champagne story Theres so much to experience that a single video really wouldn’t do it justice, Its really hard to describe as its something you kinda need to experience yourself and hopefully this at least give you a taste of what its like to fly business with Singapore. After close to 2 million miles of air travel, I still have many airlines to sample but I can honestly say without a doubt this trip has been the best business class that I have ever experienced and can say that their number one standing is well deserved.

Yes. After hours of editing this and watching it over and over again, there’s still so many things that I would’ve liked to have added, and I’ve thought of now, but the video would just be too long. As I did mention though there are just so many small little details that they do or don’t that really make up why people have such great memories. It’s just a very seamless wonderful experience.

Picked up some informative facts especially relating to the stopover at Narita. Can't wait to enjoy the same experience as you. Thanks for the great preview.

I flew the same LAX-NRT-SIN itinerary in August and booked it again for February 2024 because it was that good vs the direct nonstop. Only slight is after having the Lobster Thermidor twice now, it seems that the novelty of having lobster on a plane exceeds the actual taste and texture of the dish, as the lobster gets heated up twice before it gets to you. That aside, everything else is fantastic. The book the cook veal chop and chicken katsu sandwich snack out of LAX was superb. In the NRT ANA lounge I would definitely recommend going to the made to order counter for the curry rice and then go to the buffet station to put their chicken karaage on top… very tasty. Going to try that BBQ pork and wonton noodles on the next flight…!

@@michaelyip5290 I didn’t want to eat too much since I knew I’d be eating again so shortly after take off. How full were you on the flight? I was stuffed! Initially I didn’t order the lobster but then figured I should try. So many options that you could fly this route regularly and not get sick of the menu.

I completely agree. It’s the food options that win me over vs Korean Airlines, Asiana and the rest of Star Alliance. I have a big appetite when the food is good. SQ’s flight crew are the best. Even with book the cook already reserved… I asked if I could also try the inflight meal at the same time. The flight attendant didn’t flinch or hesitate… just immediately with a big smile and said ‘of course.. I’ll heat them up at the same time’… gotta love SQ…!

After the 3 years of hiatus, I am also starting to travel.
Since the end of last year, I have flown with 5 different airlines. (All Business)
ANA - the best airline, fine tatami mat on the bed, great foods, temp and air circulations are perfect
Korean - You fly this airline for flight attendants
Asiana - Also for some Flight Attendants
Singapore - Food and drinks, overall, very good (planes are a bit getting old)
    Lufthansa- good, can't complaint
Cathay - if you are not white, try other airlines.

Many thanks for a really informative video, you make watching these a pleasure and not a yawn fest.
My young lady and i are in the depths of trying to make a decision on a business class return LHR-MEL.
We have a choice of A350’s, 777’s or a380’s, the legroom is important to me as i’m just under 6ft and I’m concerned about some reviews stating there’s not a lot of room with the bed flat, in your opinion am i better going with a middle seat rather than a window, and are there differences between the different aircraft?
I’ve seen videos on SIA that say they don’t make your bed up for you, I’m assuming from your video this is not the case on a flight of over 22 hours?
Finally, and thank you so much for your time, sadly i have a nut allergy, when pre booking my meals are you aware of being able to tailor your menu owing to the many different allergies and intolerances we have nowadays.
Thank you so much 🙏 👍

First time on your channel and viewing your lounge scenes now. Please pan SLOWER, almost a still shot so viewers can actually see and take in the ambience without having to pause again and again. 4:51, not sure why you thought it was a good idea to take the viewers for "a spin", but all it did was made me nauseous. If you had to do it, at LEAST do it VERY slowly. It felt like a sickie ride at the fair. 🤢😱

Before the pandemic, I have flown with different airlines, I found that SIA treats foreigners better than overseas returning Singaporeans on First Class and Business Class. So why paid $12,000 for First class or $8,000 for Business class for a flight of about 12-14 hours. Save $12,000 and treat yourself with friends in a local Singapore restaurant. That's my opinion !!
