I think this man is the best. The restaurations are perfect. And, what I really like, tools stay tools. They don't become a very shiny showpiece you want to show in your home. The tools stay tools you want to use, what they are made for. And lepiece de la resistance, the inspections byAvril. If Avril is content, so am I!
There are a lot of people that do things like this on youtube. But there's just some added magic about the way you do these restorations, there's no other way to describe it except it's just right. Thank you for making these videos.
A couple kitty timestamps: 15:22 Avril inspecting the pieces. Late, but fluffy still 20:24 Resting orange cat assistant getting back to action (moving around is hard cat job) Thanks for the clip! Awesome work! God bless you!
I absolutely love how you guys are putting more an more videos up. I get so excited when I see LADB pop up on my notifications. The way you keep it original and use repurposed wood an things for the fixes are my fav.
Mmmm, that was very satisfying. I'm so glad you keep finding original old tools to restore. I'm often intrigued by how unique some of the French designs are.
You guys are my favorite restoration channel, Love the skill and care and the approach. Helps me to relax after 13 hours of delivering packages... it being near Christmas, we are busy. So thank you!
I have generalized anxiety disorder. I found your videos by accident and it's helping me to relax. I've started to watch one every night before going to sleep. I don't even understand about restoration, I just like the calming vibes. I thought you'd like to know. Thank you.
Beautiful work, as always. So many other RUclips "restorers" wipe clean any history or stories the items may have. Your restorations return the items to working order, and yet maintain the history. Very well done, and thanks
Looking at Avril's coat we are in for a cold winter ! That was a very pleasing restoration, not as old as your usual subjects, but it now looks suitably "vintage", I can see a small electroplating kit in your future! Stay safe! Chris B.
From a retired tile setter, good to see old school tools of the trade restored. These tools sadly are virtually useless now with the new porcelain tiles being made. I still have mine from 40 years ago, lots of zinc and aluminum parts, same design. Thanks
I love this channel. Like i het into watching other people and now your the only one i still watch. Idk why i just feel like he does a lot better than other people
Brought back to life fully functional GREAT work !! Older tools have so much character and are made to last a life time . Sometimes they just get lost or forgotten in a garage or a basement or a attic . But thank god you find them and give a second chance !! Love your work !! And your video's !!👍👍👍
Excellent. Besides unique restoration which is impossible to comprehend. U restored a machine which is totally recommended in contemporary time such as electric grinder which causes cancer like diseases. God bless u mate
I've sanded down wood by hand before as well. There is nothing fun about it but it is satisfying watching it transform and making it new again. Great job on this project! 👍
Outstanding work my friend. I have a newer version of a tile cutter like this and it doesn’t have the same character. Yours I would want to use, mine I use because I have to. Fantastic work and love Avril’s cameo appearances in your videos. 👍🇦🇺
That cutter has more complexity than what they sell today. The ones I've come across never had bearing, much less pivot, dept and guide adjustments. Very good tool and very good restoration.
Nope, I thought right from the start you're going to clean it, put it back together and it would never work. Once again you've proven me wrong. Fantastic work
Very worthwhile restoration! Seems like a tool built for the ages. Standard bearing sizes and all. All cast brass and steel. Only thing, mymechanics always removes the casting marks (centerline f.e.). Not really needed but I love how it improves the look of the tool. Works incredibly well. Even on these smalls slithers.
Love your restoration work. All that you restore are still usable tool and not just pretty showpieces. I don't think you could do what you do without Avril's help though. LOL
Merci
Another beautiful restoration. You are a real inspiration & a great ‘tutor’ for those of us who just tinker on the edges of this as a hobby. 👏🏆❤️. And with that in mind (!) were those gold-coloured pieces brass? Thank you! ☺️
Yet another amazing "REAL" restoration from LABB. Almost 100% of the other people that post their restoration jobs either cut coners or make new things out of old things completely ignoring what the definition of "Restoration" means. Cheers Sir.

Yes it's nice to see Avril approve in the end before reassembly
You know there are at least 2 men doing these cool projects, one with the wrinkled wizened hands and the one with the younger calloused hands.
@@bethboldman8314 Or 3???7 A red one with hairy legs...
You don't know "my mechanics", for sure
@@nahuelsanchez Yes I do. An just MM I find too perfect!

This magic called "montage". ;-)
His are real AND interesting and perfectly paced :D One of my favorite need-to-relax youtube channels.

Nice Avatar :)
The real reason I'm here for
I was wondering where Avril was
Not all heroes wear capes
I like the cat.

Probably the most complex restoration I've seen you do. Every part turned out beautifully.
No, not the most complex 😊
Every part turned out beautiful.
Excellent Job! It's nice to watch your videos, because of the excellent work, no crappy music and no nonsense yapping.
That's a nice cutter too.
Mmmm, that was very satisfying. I'm so glad you keep finding original old tools to restore. I'm often intrigued by how unique some of the French designs are.
This one is Belgian
2:20 'replacement blade' 😍 - man, I wish we still made things this good!
would of never known
Good stuff doesn’t come cheap
@k henne I've also got a planer from Ryobi. Price the knives, oh boy they are proud of those.
Very true :-)
Beautiful work, but the sound of that blade scoring the tile... fingernails on a chalkboard.
Good job friend! I find it impressive How charming the old tools were
I also think it

Old tools had so much character!!!🛠🛠🛠

Great job, and that "old" tile cutter is so much better than the new piece of rubbish I bought last month.
I've sanded down wood by hand before as well. There is nothing fun about it but it is satisfying watching it transform and making it new again. Great job on this project! 👍
A tool any tile setter or DIYer would be proud to use! You really know your stuff!!!
Fantastic work! I like the hole for the spare pulley. They do not do that today. 👍
Nice job. on my channel also restored a similar one from Japan. Unfortunately, it only cuts small bricks. A great tool.
You meant TILE cutter.
Awesome job. I love seeing SKF bearings. I work for their American plant in NY
The more i think about it, (and even thought i hate comparing things to the LADB restoration) this is the adult version of ASMR
Excellent travail !
Glad to see there was a final quality control inspection by there supervisor
It always surprises me when I watch these restoration videos how many different components there are.
your restorations are so meticulous, it is really nice to see that level of attention to detail. well done.

Wow… the level of detailing they did is amazing….. 🤩✌️🙌🏼
That's the fanciest tile cutter I've ever seen a work of art , great restoration !
What a beautiful machine. Thank you (and Avril 🧡) for another excellent video!
That cutter has more complexity than what they sell today. The ones I've come across never had bearing, much less pivot, dept and guide adjustments. Very good tool and very good restoration.
You are becoming one of my favorite restoration channels. I love all the unusual things that you fix.

Old tool with built in superquality...ball bearings and adjusters. I'm tempted to say, I miss the old days :-) Good video, loved it !!!
Superb... put it in an art gallery it is a work of art 😊🥇
Very good! Pretty cat 🐈 😊
So nice to see the old stuff, come to life. Nice job.
Please always include a lovely exterior shot of Avril outside! Your place is so lovely, as are your tools and your work on them. Thank you.
Nice too see a how you restore this Belgian tilecutter.
Great tool.
Greatings from Belgium. 🤭👍
You got it looking like new, and working like a charm. Great job.
What a great piece of equipment. Looks so much better & probably works better, than my Riyobi ! A project wel carried out.
I bet, it wasn't this beautiful when it was new
😊
Merveilleux... a master piece!!!
Detailed job, so much effort, excellent result! Congs.
Excellent. Always a pleasure watching your restorations. So true to the original.

Nice, looks awesome guys and the quality inspector looks pleased too. Great work.
As usual your restorations are spectacular. You guys never disappoint. Keep up the great work.
Another amazing restoration! Thank you! I was starting to get worried when I didn't see Avril for the first 15 min. :)
Merci
Nice job cute cat 👍🏻👍🏻
This is my absolute favourite from you, great job!
Its like-new but not too new looking. Great job man, I like it.

Nice work! I wonder, sometimes it looks like there are 3 craftsmen working on your projects, other times only 2. Im curious, how many are you?
Great job. I always enjoy viewing your work. Congratulations!
Another awesome restoration !!!!!!!!!!! Two thumbs way up, Sir !!!!!!!!!!!!
I love how kitty checks in occasionally, making sure all is going well… 😂😻

I love watching these videos. How do you decide when to use sandblasting or when to use a wire brush, and do you ever use electrolysis to remove rust?

Nice resto, sad to say we dont get beautiful tools like that nowdays.
Under the watchful eye of Avril, you have once again completed another exceptional restoration!
Beautiful job sir.
I never knew I needed to see this, but I did. Haha
Awesome craftsmanship.
Great restoration friend let's get cutting, have a nice day & Stay Safe friend !!!
I just wish that the videos would come out more often. As each one is well worth the wait.
I think that you did an amazing job. Thank you for sharing this video with us.
👍😉
Beautiful work. Very well done Sirs! I had a tile cutter the same as that but an English version... can't find it now! Greetings from Southport UK.
Again, a lovely outcome! Beautiful contrasts in the metals!
Thanks
Very nice. Entertaining and enjoyable. Thank you for the video. It is appreciated.
Good restoration very interesting and nice even though we are far apart but we can still greet each other thank you my brother👍👍👍👍🙏🙏🙏🙏
Well done! Wonderful restoration and I loved seeing it in action!
It's amazing how the bolts & nuts come undone so easily.
Outstanding job as always 👍🏾💙
