    Kitty timestamps:
03:55 Avril on duty, checking the wood toughness
04:12 On the upper-right side of the screen
17:53 Introduction and a little petting
So, that's an old option for wringing clothes. I know cats are very fluid, but please don't try to dry Avril with that :D
Thanks for the great video! May God bless you!

    Another lovely restoration you guys!
My great grandmother used those back in her heyday. Back before washing machines weren't really a popular thing in the southern US. We had to use wash bins with the ribbed plank for washing clothes, and a hand wringer for drying them. Yes, there was such things as "washing machines" back then, but they cost an arm and a leg during those times.

Avril seem perfectly content with watching you do the hard part. After all he checked out and approved the new piece of wood. Great job on the restoration. I used a wringer washing machine for many years. I've never seen a hand crank version. We've come a long way since then.

When I saw the wringer the first time I had a few flash backs. I've used one of those more times than I care to admit, and immediately my brain took me back to the smell of the clothes, the sound of the wringer and of the water dropping back into the sink, and the feel of the handle as I turned it for my grandma. I could also see her worn and red hands after a day of washing. She used this for small items, bigger items were wrung out on a full size mangle.
My next door neighbour was still using her mangle, and washing with a "dolly tub" into the late 70s.
Thank you for sending me back to a time of happy memories.

Also how do you restore the rubber rollers, if you run your finger over them white powder comes off so the rubber is pretty shot, I can't find anywhere that I can buy replacements. Would there be a way of maybe restoring them some how. I always enjoy your videos thank you for sharing them. Cheers!
