The rain on the roof must be nice and soothing while you’re working.
It was loud for a moment.
Feline assistant timestamps:
11:31 - Not actually walking the plank, the orange fluffy assistant
12:22 - Avril checking the wood piece
24:49 - Inspecting the final result
26:11 - Final showing
Thanks for the video! Awesome work! God bless you!
You are a gem, you know that?
Hi everyone ! This is the last video of 2020 😃 See you soon !!😺
Enjoy your holiday from the channel.
Merry Christmas to you as well!🎄
Happy Christmas and thanks for all of the entertainment during 2020. Cant wait for more in 21 from Cork Ireland

People's spirits need to be lifted with this virus crap still on us.
Whether or not you celebrate any holidays, I hope it takes your mind off of covid..even if only for a little while.
Take care and be safe.
You know the screw is stuck when you have to weld the screwdriver to it to remove it... Lol! 😂 Fantastic job!!!
Never seen a screwdriver being welded to the screw to make it budge. Nice.

You must be new to these types of videos. They do that a lot.
Hands down the thing that impressed name the most was the skill shown at 11:54 to saw a perfectly vertical cut with a manual hand saw. Insanely difficult
I don't want to seem rude but tbh it's not that difficult. I remember back in school we worked with handtools like that and if you mark with a line where you want to cut it's not so hard to follow - it's harder with an automatic tool because it cuts way faster so you don't have as much time to correct
@@FilippmitF yeah i always saw everything with a hand saw, so it's also not that hard for me
The biggest thing here that helped him was the fact that the saw was pull-cut (Japanese style). Pulling keeps your saw blade straight and takes less force, so you can focus on keeping it level.
I've become so much more confident in doing new projects myself just by watching you guys. It just shows that for every problem there's a solution and everything that's broken can be fixed. Keep it up guys
Thank you for not showing the bright welding. Us folks that are sensitive to flashing lights very much appreciate that small detail.
Probably a lot easier on the camera too
@Lpn 4 No but camera sensors can get damaged. Strong lasers are notorious for damaging sensors. Welding arcs aren't as severe, but some people like to err on the side of caution.
Finally a true resortation that popped up on my feed! 99% of these restoration guys on here are working on "antiques" they purposely "aged" or they replace 90% of the original parts with new machined parts. Great to see a true restoration
I find your videos relaxing. I appreciate the absence of music to allow the sounds of the work to come through, and your skill and methodical approach are excellent. My only wish is to see more text on products you are using, such as particular cleaners, de-greasers and sprays.
Sería muito melhor se tivesse alguma descrição mesmo
I love his hands. They show experience and hard work.
No soy there.
Working man’s hands. Nothing… soft there.
I laughed out loud when you soldered the crowbar to the screw. Bonus points for creativity! Good job
I especially love to see the end when you test out the restoration because most of them i cant figure out how they'll work these are always so satisfying to watch
Watching RUclips videos that fixing something that is broken has always was relaxing and helps me sleep
Looks fantastic! Glad Avril likes it too
She was given the option to walk the plank. Fair and square!
Thanks for her name. Every shop needs a cat.
It's so satisfying when a stuck screw finally releases!
Always so satisfying to watch!
Thank you R&R 😻
@punisher 47 ⁰
What, RnR is here? What a nice surprise!
A thing well made is always appreciated. The plastic age will be despised by future restorers.
The rain on the roof sound is so soothing. Makes the video even better
Thank you, I finally saw the word PATINA, and you restoring wooden pieces instead of remaking them, is keeping the integrity of these great tools from the past.. Great work, that's the cat's MEOW.....
Awesome job once again. Please get a diamond cutter and true that grinding wheel, It has so much more life to give, peace.
There's a tool called a "shake and break" that I bought a few years ago, and I swear to God it has never failed to remove even the most absolutely rusted shut screws and bolts I've ever seen. It's basically a mild air chisel but doesn't hammer forwards, so no dents like the impact screwdriver, and holds screwdriver bits and sockets. It just vibrates the hell out of the screw and dislodges all the rust and lets the penetrating oil get deeper.
It is an air tool, but only costs like $20 USD and lots of companies make them.
It's a piece of witchcraft that I will never go without again. Completely replaced my hand impact screwdriver. Highly recommend for restoration!
Always a good day when I get to see that man do woodworking.
I work in a plant that processes over fifty tons of tobacco a day at peak capacity. We supply the facilities that make the cigs. This thing makes me smile. Cheers from Winston Salem North Carolina. Home of camel cigs and hanes cotton.
great job, special respect for the cat for help
When you bent your bit with the impact driver I was like “Jesus!” Out loud! Lol
I have NEVER seen wood hold onto screws like that!
I love watching these before I go to bed, since they make me relaxed
The cat looks like he is ready to light up his favorite pipe blend.
lol 😂
I love watching the sand blasting but it gives me the shivers every time you run your hands over chunks and slivers of wood! I am like “SPLINTERS! SPLINTERS!!”
My kids love watching your videos! 10 year old boy and 9 year old girl.
First time in a restoration when you laid it all out I thought toss it all then I got to see ur woodworking skills, you picked the right restoration to show off your skill👍🏼
I like it when Avril makes his entrance on all your videos I like it when he gets in your way lol
Think he's a she as Avril is April in French.
Antique Tools + LADB = Perfection! Amazing!
I've learned 1 thing for sure..they don't make nuts and bolts like they used to.
What is your conclusion that you say that ? Are they quality whise worse ore better?
@@Desugan69 I think he means the grade of steel/aluminium used earlier on for nuts and bolts isn't used anymore. Perhaps to lower the cost and/or lower the overall weight of the item.
well slotted drive sucks
Je pourrais regarder vos vidéos des heures durant. Elles sont incroyablement relaxantes et positives. Quel bon choix le silence ponctué par le bruit des outils ! Merci.
Using restored equipment to help restore other equipment is quite poetic. I love how this man operates.
Табакорезка?! Ну и конструкция! Шикарно! Умели делать, на века! Молодец, восстановил! На аукцион!
I usually play your restoration vids to fall asleep but the rain in the background, ill be sleeping like a log tonight
I love the tools that you Restoration. Many tools I have never seen
Yea it’s super cool
That’s a lifetime collection of tools, along with the knowledge of how to use them. I hope he’s training young people how to restore things.
I love the tools that you use for restoration. Many tools I have never seen
before.
That's how type it for next time. English is a hard language to master. Good luck. Excellent spelling!
@@brianfong5711 or "I love the tools that your restore"
@@WISHER0 "I love the tools that your restore" is wrong
"I love the tools that you restore" is right. Please read twice before replying with a spelling correction.
As usual, my favorite part is when everything is disassembled and laid out neatly to view all the pieces to be cleaned, restored and put back together.
Your experienced hands tell the story of your channel!
Excellent work as always. The rain provided a nice Ambient sound and the use of new wood is always a welcome fixture in any restoration video.
I was having trouble sleeping last night, and your videos helped me finally get some rest. It's very calming to watch you work!
also, your cat is very handsome! his face and paws are delightfully round, and he's such a pretty orange tabby color too!
It's great to see you already have your types of restorations. Everytime I see a tool you could restore I think "this is a LadB one". Great job as always!
Are you kidding me your videos are already out relaxing enough I fall asleep to them all the time. This is by far the most relaxing satisfying video ever.
PLEASE wait till it rains to make every video in the future
Edit: I spoke to soon, it only lasted 15-20 seconds.... But it was nice while it lasted 😂
restoration + rain asmr = quality content
Make sure all your slots in the screws face the same way....love it. Done that all my life ......looks so much neater.
Now if only science can come up with a way to restore me!
Nice job!
.
...ну уж начал менять деревяшки,надо было менять все,как всегда работа отличная, получилась реставрация выглядит,как будто новая 👍👍👍🤓🤫🥤!!!
Great video! Very satisfying to watch!
It's really relaxing, hearing the sound of the rain of the roof and watching you working away on things!
The best place to be with all that rain falling ! And Avril got her nose dirty, a good job for us Bruno that Napoleon planted all those Plane trees along the road, another tasteful restoration , looking at those oversize bolt heads that is a very old machine. Stay safe ! Chris B.
LADB is going to have to provide a video restoring all the tools that were destroyed on this one.
I have dyslexia. So i read "taco cutter".... Was very interested how that worked 😂. Love the videos and the cat!
I absolutely adore Avril, they’re adorable❤
... молодец!-, отличная получилась работа, хорошо поработал,- восстановил и дал вторую жизнь раритетной вещи, а у моего деда табачный резак был другой конструкции, здоровья тебе и удачи во всём, новых творческих успехов!!!
I'm watching this while it's raining!
🐼 Big Bear Hugs from a 67 yr old grandma in Kirby, Texas, USA 🐼 Merry Christmas!
Cute
Смотрю и глаз не отвести - это просто шедевры востановленные руками мастера🥰
Thank you for getting them. Screws lined up properly. Most people don't and it drives me mad
Those screws were no joke! Welding, cutting, bending tools, they wanted to stay!
..your old ones are just as good, nice job..
Those are some working man hands right there! Great work as always!
This video proves that nothing has a hold stronger than rust. That stuff holds on for dear life lol
for some reason watching these videos helps me feel calm.
Beautiful job as always....
Thank you
The best restoration channel on RUclips!
*anxiously waiting for April to show up*
Amazing work buddy!
Very nice job and very nice cat.
Beautifully. I like a careful repair.

My favourite restoration channels all here!
Otra claro ejemplo de su habilidad en la restauracion, excelente resultado obtenido con este cortador de tabaco vintage, mis respetos y saludos desde Venezuela, felices fiestas,👍👊
Самый лучший реставратор, спасибо и с наступающим
BEST background noise ever!!!!
Nice to see that grindstone is getting use
Très très beau travail, beau vidéo, encore une fois félicitation pour l'excellente restoration.👍🏻du Québec, Canada.
You practically made it from scratch! Amazing work💪🏼👏🏼
You are so talented I bet there is nothing you can't fix or repair. Thank you for all the amazing videos
I love when Avril guest stars in your videos
I've said it once I'll say it a thousand times...I love to watch you restore anything. Another beautiful restoration.
~Kevin
Amazingly done! Love your grindstone too.
I enjoy these videos. You do this with respect, compassion, and, dare I say, love. I'm sure your shop manager approves. You do all you can to keep things original, but you do replace when necessary.
I love Avril ❤ I have seen all her videos. the final work is amazing !!!!!!!
Avril is a boy 😉
Love how the flat heads escalated from screwdriver to pry bar to welded pry bar😂😂
So glad to see it back to as close to original as possible!!! Really beautiful job!!!
vintage stuff restoration with vintage tools. nice
I love this kind of restoration video, no talk just pure work
I really enjoy watching your videos, spceally when your cats shows up :)
I love it when channels use things they’ve restored to restore other stuff
I've watched this video a couple of times because I love watching you work. Each time you pull out the handfull of leaves and I think, is that what tobacco leaves look like? Every time I have this thought right before your caption saying you couldn't find tobacco leaves. Maybe one of these days I'll rewatch this and actually remember that fact.
Fascinating to watch a real craftsman at work...well done
I love this channel. You do such unique projects and craftsmanship. I really like this channel much better than some of the other restoration channels I watch. I like that you're not just doing wartime lighters constantly. Keeps it interesting. I've never seen a tobacco cutter before your show, so it was interesting to watch.
THis is VERY professional and well done. You honored the age and antique nature of it. I hate when people take something wonderful like that and over shine. I think you know what I mean. Love it.
Thanks for sharing your work with us. You have excellent editing and ambient sound.
Thanks for the video ladb restoration
Omg that wet wheel set up is amazing. I'm super jealous. Damn that's cool.
I really enjoy watching your videos you do such wonderful job. Hi Avril
Very nice, sympathetic restoration, retaining its vintage character.
I did not even know that such an object existed, in any case, we can see clearly, in view of the methods used to remake and restore the parts of this tobacco cutter, you have been in the business for a long time
