I'm guessing the calluses on his hand make it tolerable. The calluses one develops as a serious bass/guitar player would have the same effect. You can't feel that layer of hardened skin.
it can be more powerfull with more pressure by pumping and more heat by letting it burn low for 2-3 min.. once u turn the valve up, it will blow really powerfull blue jet-like fire. i know cos my father used to have this 😁
Aside from some parts not working, I was surprised how good of a condition this was in! I always love to see how these things turn out and really enjoy your videos. I love the natural sounds in the background that you don't see in many other channels since they work in a closed space or warehouse. I love the nature in all your videos and look forward to plenty more! And of Avril of course :) I have four cats myself and absolutely adore Avril.
I’ve been following you for about a year now and I love the careful way you restore all these items...the more parts, the better. I’m also fond of curious white cats with grease on their faces!
Kitty timestamps, as always: 7:01 Avril coming in, probably after using the head fluff for cleaning 8:18 Now the other side of the fluff? 8:40 Investigating the gravel 19:31 One final inspection for the restored pieces, from the fluffy assistant of the orange fur, Avril So, that's how the old blowtorches are. I guess they might also work well for roasting some treats, kitty treats maybe? Thanks for the video! Awesome work! God bless you!
Avril explains that, as Chief Quality Control Inspector, she often has to put her head in places that contain dirt... Instead of leaving a paper note that says "Inspected by Avril," she leaves some of her hair as the stamp of approval... 14:08

A good job that I was alone whilst watching this. When it was demonstrated, I said, out loud, "bloody hell!". I really had not expected that, actually I had no idea what to expect, but that wasn't it. Absolutely amazed, and enthralled. If someone had said in 2001 that in 20 years time I'd be watching a guy restore a blow torch, I'd have called them mad. Yet here I am, in 2021 barely able to tear my eyes away from the television in case I miss something interesting. A superb restoration.

Did you fill the main tank with alcohol? I thought that it was going to run on kerosene? And pre heat with alcohol/spirits! I have one similar and ive been using kerosene always. Hi from Cork in Ireland. Love your channel its the best
With a pressurized tank like that, you probably can use a lot of different types fuels. As long as the fuel atomizes, it burns... And the fact that you adjust the flow to air ratio, it works. JMHO

There’s a certain beauty to this old equipment. No ultrasonically welded plastics and such that you can’t disassemble. Everything is a nut or bolt, and even if it’s a little rusty, a wrench and a torch can get it apart.
