great breakdown! if you don’t have any interview for the upcoming eagle video, i think it’d be worth your time to reach out to either Jimmy Kempski or Brandon Lee Gowton. they’re both great dudes and know how to talk birds. they have media access to the team and had been running a fantastic podcast for several years
I'd say Dak is a tier 2 guy with lowlights that stem from major issues at the organizational & coaching level. Watch the games against DET, Miami, Seattle, the Chargers. Majority of all those games he WAS the offense, or making plays out of nothing. No run game outside of a 1-yard HB dive. I think just a 'good' QB that 'needs everything to go right' would have absolutely floundered in those games. Not to mention, he was like literally the ONLY QB that played a good game against that Jets defense last year.
Yeah it definitely wasn’t the defense not being able to stop a nosebleed that cost them the game lmao cmon now TFG and one of Daks Ints was a clear defensive PI just missed. Also go rewatch that game and you’ll notice how bad CeeDee was he didn’t show up at all the first half
im a dallas fan born and raised. we're imploding this year. between the combination of a brutal schedule, and a brutal locker room, it's bound to come crashing down. the question is, are we going to tear it down, or retool in some key areas next year. im genuinely not even looking forward to watching all the dallas hate, and watching dallas in general this year. i just want us to go dnd for a couple years then come back w a vengence. and tbh i don't even think most people who hate on dallas, hate on them bc they were good (like people did in the 90s). people hate for the trend, and its weird atp.
I was born and raised in Philadelphia and grew up there in the 80’s. I can assure you my hate for the Cowboys has been genuine and sincere for 40+ years now.
@@bradleyalthausAs long as Jerry Jones still owns this team, I do not believe they will ever come close to a Super Bowl. He is too stubborn to admit defeat and just can’t get out of his own way when it comes to managing this team. @@treebossmike8818 i personally think we'll miss the playoffs this year. and i agree, until jones either dies or is too old to do it, we won't do anything. its just a waiting game atp.
This honestly feels like the team you’re off on most this year, this teams one lamb or dak injury away from being legitimately terrible imo, even if those two stay healthy this teams way too reliant on those two. Also bizarre how bad lamb was in the playoffs last year Edit: Lmao reading through these comments everyone thinks you’re too low on the cowboys and I’m over here thinking you’re too high on them
Am I the only one frustrated w/ the Stephon Gilmore disrespect? Dude was so underrated before the Patriots DPOY season. And CBs have this production dropoff that people seem to unconsciously parallel to that 29/30 YO parallel to HBs is hitting him hard. He's definitely pas his peak, but like, dude...he's still good. I'd have put the CB room at neutral here.

The 10 teams Matt has not named are: Lions, 49ers, Eagles, Ravens Bengals, Browns, Miami Jets, Texans, Chiefs How do you think TFG will rank them? I think they'll go: 10. Miami (Last year 8th) 9. Browns (Last year 9th) 8. Texans (Last year 30th) 7. Ravens (Last year 10th) 6. Jets (Last year 7th) 5. Eagles (Last year 4th) 4. Lions (Last year 17th) 3. Bengals (Last year 2nd) 2. 49ers (Last year 4th) 1. Cheifs (Last year 1st)
This team is pretty much the singular exception to my rule that making the playoffs year after year is being successful. The fact that they can't get out of the divisional round is frustrating. *But*, they've made the playoffs fairly frequently. It's weird.
why u think so. bills lack weapons, DBs and DL. packers got good to decent peaces all across the board, just miss 1 or 2 more game changers/superstar tier players to vault intop the top 8ish. Cowboys just lost 100 pieces. dolphins really just struggle w a bit of DL, IOL and thats it tbh
@@ricardorivera7549They were a first round exit in the playoffs. Also they didn’t really get better from last year, if anything probably worse. They lost Wilkins, Barret retired. Chubb and Phillips have injury concerns and Chop Robinson is very raw. Oh and Tua isn’t exactly a superstar. He also shrinks in big games
@@ricardorivera7549Not to mention Terron Armstead is the only anchor in that O line and he isn’t exactly a young buck, with no injury concerns. Not to hate on the Dolphins I just find it interesting that they’ve been a first round exit for two years even after adding superstars this year they were limited by the cap and somehow rank high
Context aside, such as Miami's injuries (Skylar Thompson versus the Bills | Reek, Waddle, and the edge rushers being banged up against KC), Marcus' formula still holds up. According to his formula, 65% of the overall ranking is based on offense. Regardless of opinions about Tua, Marcus has pointed out that Tua is a quarterback who excels in a perfect situation. Miami boasts one of the best groups of weapons in the NFL. While the offensive line is not great, it only impacts 19% of the passing game ranking. On defense, 68% of the formula emphasizes pass defense. Wilkins is an elite run defender but a slightly above-average pass rusher. Miami’s secondary is strong, and with Phillips and Chubb returning, Miami's ranking should be high based on this formula. This approach also clarifies why Marcus was lower on Miami under Coach Flores. While I may not always agree with Marcus' views, he does an excellent job of explaining the criteria behind his assessments.
Interms of the QB discussion I think it’s so ironic that while many moons ago Dak took Tony Romos job Tony Romo shit the bed on game winning drives quite frequently during his career idk just a thought
i will note i think coaching is actually an upgrade this year. im sure many dallas fans know this already, but dq was not the same dc last year (or at least the league figured him out). any team with competent coaching exploited the fact we couldn't stop the run and flat out embarrassed us. he was straight up awful last year, and i was thrilled the commanders took him off our hands. note: it is very frustrating to watch the dc do the same thing over and over again, when it clearly doesn't work.
I know it's off the topic but Josh Allen Bijan Robinson Saquon Barkley Chris Olave Drake London Kyle Pitts Is that a good fantasy team? 6 person league
If that's in order, then I think it's pretty good. I don't know if I would have picked both London and Pitts. Historically, Cousins has fed 1 receiver, so it could mean famine for one or the other.

Wow cowboys outside the top ten! Jets and browns cracking the top ten is crazy
Bro the amount of clips you have in here of Jamal Adams being cooked is INSANE
great breakdown! if you don’t have any interview for the upcoming eagle video, i think it’d be worth your time to reach out to either Jimmy Kempski or Brandon Lee Gowton. they’re both great dudes and know how to talk birds. they have media access to the team and had been running a fantastic podcast for several years
Man, seeing #11 announced and the Ravens not being announced yet is very reassuring! Still top 10!
Ten franchises leaft to be ranked. This is my guess: 10 th - Browns, 9 th - Dolphins, 8 th - Eagles, 7 th Jets, 6 th Ravens, 5 th Texans, 4 th Lions, 3 rd Bengals, 2 nd Chiefs, 1 st 49ers. Regards!
@@treebossmike8818 i mean a majority of people are fans of random teams, or just have no team. its a trend for a lot of people
@@bradleyalthausI agree with that.
@@bradleyalthausAs long as Jerry Jones still owns this team, I do not believe they will ever come close to a Super Bowl. He is too stubborn to admit defeat and just can’t get out of his own way when it comes to managing this team. Dallas just might win 10 games this year in spite of a very tough schedule but I can’t see them winning a playoff game.
Also bizarre how bad lamb was in the playoffs last year
Edit: Lmao reading through these comments everyone thinks you’re too low on the cowboys and I’m over here thinking you’re too high on them
They really went all on this off season. All in on pissing their players and fans off
Am I the only one frustrated w/ the Stephon Gilmore disrespect? Dude was so underrated before the Patriots DPOY season. And CBs have this production dropoff that people seem to unconsciously parallel to that 29/30 YO parallel to HBs is hitting him hard. He's definitely pas his peak, but like, dude...he's still good. I'd have put the CB room at neutral here.
My diploma just arrived in the mail! I'll have to go grab it in 1:45:46!
Himslef for Brian shoottenhiemer 😅
You say you expect heat from us Cowboys fans for the secondary ranking, but I remember the days of you constantly referring to Trevon Diggs as burnt toast so seeing the turnaround to thinking he's a pretty good corner is really nice
great as always Marcus, I think Ceedee gets extended and they finish about where they did last year, maybe 1 playoff win
Reports are saying that Bebee is gonna start getting more reps with the ones at center
Don’t forget about ocyrus Torrence and max Mitchell with those UL olineman
LMFAOOO as a cowboys fan I effing love this, most of us (most of my family) are so delusional 😂
Don’t get me wrong we have a shot but the window is closing fast..
The 10 teams Matt has not named are:
Lions, 49ers, Eagles, Ravens
Bengals, Browns, Miami
Jets, Texans, Chiefs
How do you think TFG will rank them?
I think they'll go:
10. Miami (Last year 8th)
9. Browns (Last year 9th)
8. Texans (Last year 30th)
7. Ravens (Last year 10th)
6. Jets (Last year 7th)
5. Eagles (Last year 4th)
4. Lions (Last year 17th)
3. Bengals (Last year 2nd)
2. 49ers (Last year 4th)
1. Cheifs (Last year 1st)
I think your spot on tbh
Great video and breakdown as usual. My guess is that the Dolphins almost have to be next but look forward to seeing regardless
I read IOL (Interior offensive linemen) as Interior _Outside_ Linemen.
GOAT DROPPED A VIDEO ON MY FAVORITE TEAM LETS GOOOOOOOO
Deep dive does anyone know when another is coming out ?
Turpin !! 😤
Brandon Aubrey came from the USFL not the XFL
Next deep dive does anyone know I thought it was coming out today ?

Underselling Jake mad u didn’t show his hurdles he’s gonna breakout this year
He literally showed the hurdles and predicted a big season…
Yeah seriously huh? 😅
@@ThatFranchiseGuy i love yo series shii been keeping me entertained all off-season long preciate the content and i agree
This team is pretty much the singular exception to my rule that making the playoffs year after year is being successful. The fact that they can't get out of the divisional round is frustrating. *But*, they've made the playoffs fairly frequently. It's weird.
TFG, do you think the cowboys should try a trade for Levi ownzurike or Khalil Herbert
I’d rate Dallas above Philadelphia, but nobody wins the NFC East twice in a row
Philadelphia have a better team but Dallas will still win the division. The way they ended last season along with the coaching will drag them down.
Philly is better than dallas hands down
W take from a W Billboard Music youtuber
Lmao
Very interesting to see the Bills, Packers and Cowboys ranked before the Dolphins
why u think so. bills lack weapons, DBs and DL. packers got good to decent peaces all across the board, just miss 1 or 2 more game changers/superstar tier players to vault intop the top 8ish.
Best notification to get during the day
Interms of the QB discussion I think it’s so ironic that while many moons ago Dak took Tony Romos job Tony Romo shit the bed on game winning drives quite frequently during his career idk just a thought
Idk, I think you're a little too hard on Dak. I think other than the San Fran loss, I don't really solely blame him for the playoff losses.
Just curious, did you have an ETA for your fantasy draft board being available on Patreon? We’re getting pretty close to the start of the season
I'm planning on making a Targets / Guys I'm Fading list this weekend. Hoping that suffices cause I've been wall to wall busy getting these done.
@@ThatFranchiseGuy understandable, appreciate the reply
Yeah here we go!
Let me know if you need an interview for the ravens episode, too excited for my birds 😈
Surprised on your Brandon cooks take, had him on fantasy last year and he carried me a lot of weeks

Predicting TFG top 10 teams
1. Chiefs
2. 49ers
3. Bengals
4. Lions
5. Ravens
6. Eagles
7. Jets
8. Browns
9. Texans
10. Dolphins
i will note i think coaching is actually an upgrade this year. im sure many dallas fans know this already, but dq was not the same dc last year (or at least the league figured him out). any team with competent coaching exploited the fact we couldn't stop the run and flat out embarrassed us. he was straight up awful last year, and i was thrilled the commanders took him off our hands. note: it is very frustrating to watch the dc do the same thing over and over again, when it clearly doesn't work.
As a certified Dallas hater theres no way they go under 9.5 wins
Oh boy I knew it was a beautiful day
So after the addition of Jordan Phillips and Carl Lawson, does it do anything to move the needle for the Cowboys
nah
if the vikings sign gilmore since they had him for a workout, would there be any change in the rankings?
LIONS TOP 10!!! I USED TO PRAY FOR TIMES LIKE THESE
As a 9ers fan, I don't see how Detroit can't be in the top 5. Best team in the NFC right now.
How am I supposed to take the Cowboys seriously when Mike Mcfraud is coaching them
Does the Vikings signing Stephon Gilmore move up there ranking
Parsons is just modern LT, they both just win with insane athleticism but Parsons is a much better athlete in a much bigger league
I know it's off the topic but
Josh Allen
Bijan Robinson
Saquon Barkley
Chris Olave
Drake London
Kyle Pitts
Is that a good fantasy team? 6 person league
If that's in order, then I think it's pretty good. I don't know if I would have picked both London and Pitts. Historically, Cousins has fed 1 receiver, so it could mean famine for one or the other.
Predicting the top 10
10. Browns
9. Jets
8. Texans
7. Bengals
6. Dolphins
5. Eagles
4. Lions
3. Ravens
2. 49ers
1 Chiefs
im suprised he didnt put the down arrow on Zeke
Also doesnt micah play a bit of off ball LB?
@@tyse7450he mentioned that a bit
Zeke was better than I'd expect last year and don't necessarily think he's gonna suck here.
