      @@rerbitd7094 Those were militia troops, poorly equipped and trained. They get sent to man trenches in the quietest sectors for a reason. No one would allow a Western reporter on the actual front line. Completely reasonable for them to be using AK-SUs with zero priority on logistics.

      If they're RF military, they're very likely still ok.
      If they're RF allied forces, especially DPR/LPR forces, the risk of them being dead or badly wounded is several times higher.
      If they're UA forces, uh yeah, then they're probably long gone. Overall, something like at least 1/4 of UA recruits or pressganged, are casualties within 4 weeks of "recruitment".

      it would help if you watched euromaidan coup back in 2014 to understand why there is this war. lookup Pietro Poroshenko's statement about ethnic Russians in the east of Ukraine. Donbas people have no choice.

The war exists because Euromaidan made Russia realize it had failed to make itself attractive to Ukraine, and resorted to physical violence to keep Ukraine within its sphere of influence.

    Whether you're on the side of Ukraine or Russia, you've got to admit that this is a very interesting interview, the journalist risked his life in the name of free speech, so we can understand what those fighting are going through and what civilians are going through and their opinions on the war.       @@kitzuni0 You are very wrong. Most Russian soldiers were not forced to join the army - they volunteered lured by high salaries and one-time payments. Some of regions of Russia pay nearly USD 20 thousand for just signing a contract with the Russian army. Most Russian soldiers are just mercenaries who voluntarily chose to kill and destroy. They don't deserve your sympathy.

      Russians and Russia are living in a world that is decades behind the West, in education and understanding of the world in the 21st century, the entire country looks like Medival Europe ! barley above 3rd world countries .       Depends on what you mean, the war was started to prevent the expansion of NATO/USA into Ukraine, for Russia it is a very necessary war. Of course Ukraine or USA could just have agreed not to expand into Ukraine and there would have been no war. But USA really wanted Russia to invade Ukraine so they could force their puppets in EU to cut themselves off from Russian resources and become dependent on USA resources. So for USA it was perhaps not a necessary war but a very desirable one.
      Russia will likely get Ukraine blocked from NATO, and USA succeeded in destroying EU economic future. So both side got what they wanted. Everyone happy execpt the hundreds of thousands of families that lost their sons/fathers/brothers of course.

      I saw this when I was deployed to Iraq. It’s sad but people just get used to living in those conditions. Eventually you learn to ignore the sounds and just pray your time isn’t up. Despite the war going on, you still have to live your life

      If I'm not mistaken, he said that 1 in 3 people didn't want them there. Well, 2/3 is still more than 1/3. The soldier also acknowledges that there was an armed coup led by Americans in 2014, although he says "it doesn't matter." Why does the West feel the need to interfere and get involved in disputes that don't concern it? Interest? Money? That’s the question.

Also his death wasn’t mysterious, he died of pneumonia in the Ukrainian winter after spending days on the run.

A small minority of Ukrainians have opposition views some of the western volunteers have said as much.       Getting out of Russia with the material is probably a long process since Russia wants to know exactly what has been documented, editing the material would probably take 10-12 weeks and sorting out several publish processes. Yeah it is actually quiet time consuming to publish documentariers, you don't push a button and suddenly it is all done.

    I worked with 2 ukrainians. One supported Putin and the other did not. My russian friend that came from there has family that lived in the part of Ukraine that wanted to be part of russia and were treated badly by ukraine years ago. The history of ukraine is complex and covered in blood.

      Hitler's best asset was German propaganda. DW maintains Hitler's tradition. But now DW produces anti-Russia, pro-US propaganda. Germans are yet to grow a pair. Germans remain subservient to USA. US election probably caught Germans off guard. But Germans will bow to Trump. Germans have no choice. Lots of US soldiers still sit in Germany and Germans cannot ask them to leave.

      They've learned they have to mind the morale of the little people. Traumatize too many and the economy and combat performance just gets worse. However, sometimes they just can't help themselves, especially when on barrier troop duty. These guys are climbing the regime ladder.

      Yeah Russia when they annexed Crimea in 2014 and Russia again in 2022.. Who started it Ukraine??? NATO??? I mean it was Zelensky who said I don’t need a ride I need bullets.. The west was pretty much going to let Ukraine fall,Because,, of weak incompetence from the President which has a trickle down effect to all of NATO.. Not until Ukraine showed a back bone and fought back did they start supporting Ukraine… But,believe whatever you want
