How to make a skinny tie from a fat tie

The cut you made on the bottom left of the tie does not match the cut on the right at the very bottom it’s pretty obvious from looking at the end of the video that the two edges where the tie come to meet at the bottom point of the tie do not match the left side is not as angled of a cut and only comes Up half way compared with the right you need to cut the bottom edges more evenly so the angles are matched not sure why but the solid color tie looks fine and doesn’t have this problem, this is just on the striped tie

Thank you....Another vid on the same subject used hemming tape instead of sewing. I have not performed this narrowing procedure as yet however it is nice to know my options.
