What you need to know: dude moved to FL and loves freedom more than most Americans. Not only is he doing bare knuckle boxing, but he’s always training and inspiring others to train and be better on his social media. He aligns with you politically more than you probably even know, and you should do a deeper dive into the lyrics of Viking. Next reaction to them should be a live performance…

i just posted my comment basically saying the same stuff and then saw yours hahaha alex is more genuine and up front about anything he talks about more so than a majority of artists, even when he doesnt need to explain himself he will if things get too out of hand just so people get the plain and simple of it. His recent vids talking about all the drama people are trying to put on him sucked to have to see. But at the same time, it was cool to hear his story and like him a lot more after just for being that open about it.

The band is hard for me- but I love to support them after I saw some interviews with them last year and now throughout this year- besides his story and his videos about moving to Florida and living freedom- the best one I have seen of him recently showing how genuinely lovable he is- Nic Nocturnal 2023 metal awards - Alex won a category and his accept speech- was so shocked and humbled- and this is Nic! A you tube channel that just lives metal, and making an awards show _ hats off to Nic because it was great 2nd annual and he put it so much work-
My favorite videos to watch with my teen son are Alex covers! There are some truly epic ones! And of course his sleep token reaction video- he had me giggling

I went to my first metal music festival and was so nervous I've got some issues and I was worried the crowd alone would be overwhelming and let me tell you I've never experienced anything like that. If someone messed with us 5-10 other people were there to help. If a big dude was crowd surfing the marines around us helped keep them from dropping on us. A drunk dude kept falling on me and this rocking ol lady tore him up one side and down the other I called her my metal momma the rest of the night cause she did too "these babies are just out here trying to have a good time and you're ruining it for everyone you should be ashamed" and dude left the area we were in. The only issue I had was once everyone was drinking and hyped up they forgot to watch for crowd surfers and I had a dude in steal toes dropped on me someone found my glasses pretty quick and helped me up I didn't feel anything (thanks adrenaline) I got to hop in and be a wall in my first pit my friend who also has anxiety was crowd surfing like it was so fun and there's wild shit going on around you but you're safer than you'd think man and then an artist came on he told everyone I'm going to open a pit keep the kids back if I see a kid near the pit I'm coming off stage I probably wouldn't be one to bring my kiddo but of the ones I did see they were kept safe by a community effort I know every crowd has their ass holes but as someone who struggles to feel safe in public and crowds I'm pretty comfortable at metal music festivals just gotta watch for the people who partied a little too hard

i don't know the russian lyrics very well, but the english hooks stay with me. "Let the blade do (the) talking, so my tongue became iron" and "Do you understand that we have the same blood? (Do) you notice that I am from the same flesh?" are beautiful anti-war statements. We should be talking instead of fighting, because we are all human, we're all living on the same planet together. And then of course, you see all this footage from concerts of him connecting with fans of all ages, races, genders, etc. He's not just talking out of his ass.

It was beautiful. Drops this tune right after and it’s back to war

Alex started lifting and doing martial arts when he was like 19-20 and got back into it more the last couple of years and now trains for bare knuckle boxing and MMA. If you were ever a DOOM fan you should check out Alex's lyric covers of mick gordans DOOM tracks or one of his acapella covers for more of his actual voice sound cuz he shows that its actually him without effects. their most popular track as of recent showing off his crazy growl is demolisher, which is another banger like this one. He's also started doing a lot more videos of him just talking about things and his decision to move him and his family from Russia to Florida to focus more on music and to get away from the conflict going on over in his home country. He's a very straight forward and happy go lucky dude and seems to try and be as transparent and honest with his fans whenever he can or needs to be.

Slaughter to Prevail is this generations Slipknot. Angrier, and so badass. They are here to stay and they will be as big as Slipknot soon enough. I'm 54 and I've been listening to Metal for 43 years and I can tell that this ish right here is going to be supported for a long time to come. I think that this is one of the very best songs in all of Deathcore music. They just keep getting better and better. I freaking love this band and have for over eight years. And yes, he even did the stand alone growls without the mic way back in the day during some of the breakdowns. His vocal projection in unbelievable live. His growl is so loud. Alex does bareknuckle boxing, he has vids on his channel.
Edit: He is also just a really nice and chill dude. The interviews I've seen of him he's really down to earth and stays out of politics in his personal life. He just wants people to get along and enjoy good music which I highly respect! The majority of their music is about being badass and strong, it's nice and simple but really heavy!

YES! OMG I love STP so much. I just saw them in July. Absolutely phenomenal. Lorna Shore and STP are two of my favorite bands. Andieroo mentioned Alex looks like a bear: you guys should watch the videos in which Alex WRESTLED a bear lol. Thanks for this!
To Andieroo: You should get one of Alex's masks! I got one and they're top quality.

The connection between throat beatboxing and these gutteral screams is spot on. I do metal and hardcore vocals, and started learning throat singing as well, because I felt like it was similar to some of the gutteral screams. The deepest throat singing style has the same technique as the bass sounds of beatboxing. I'm a boom bal hip hop head myself, and I wish I could beatbox, but it's just way too technical 🎤🤐

He also has one take vocal of this song, so you can be confirmed he hasn't put any effects on his voice.

So cool story…. Alex said in an interview that most people think he got his facial scar in a fight…. Turns out he did it himself when he was younger to look more hardcore and he really regrets doing it.

To answer the question of 'what effects are on his voice?', he's mentioned before that in a stereo mix, they'll 'widen' his voice by panning the left and right channels all the way out. Doesn't change his voice, but makes it have 'its own place' in the mix. In the studio for recording, he uses a mild reverb and gate to cut breath sounds and such, but I think that's it. His one-take for Viking is immensely entertaining, because you see he can't have done anything to his voice in the cut. You hear the reverb and everything in his warm-up, and that's it.

Ive seen them live and got to have a chat at the bar with alex. One thing is hearing it right in front of me, his voice is what you hear beside layering. Also note his voice is deeeep and he is really big in person but he is a teddy bear so so nice to talk with
