Bee Gees stand for The Brothers, Gibb. They were brothers. Barry, the oldest; the one in the middle; Robin on Barry's right, and Maurice on Barry's left. Robin and Maurice were twins. Another impressive fact about their music; this was before Auto Tune. This is what they REALLY sounded like. So glad you enjoyed them.
@@RobSquadReactions - You need to hear Robin's voice. Amazing range and vibrato. He said he sang with his heart, not his voice and sang many of their earlier hits. Barry said Robin's voice was "killer" and Maurice said Robin's voice "Grabbed your heart". Very unique. A good choice, "I Started a joke" live in Melbourne 1989. "Bodyguard" is another great Robin lead. All three brothers could sing falsetto and had tremendous range. They wrote over 1000 songs for themselves and people like Streisand, Diana Ross, Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton, Dionne Warwick, Celine Dion.

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU. This is the song that has perpetuated my "Reaction" addiction. I LOVE watching people react to this song. Especially when it's the FIRST Bee Gee's song. I suggested this to you on your first reaction video, because I knew it would blow your mind. One of the most beautiful songs ever written. You can't go wrong with the Bee Gee's. I will instantly click on any reaction you do from them. I know you're going to get a TON of great suggestions. If you want to hear a song that more features one of the other brothers, I'd LOVE to see you do "Fanny Be Tender With My Love". A live performance too. You made my whole night with this reaction. I'm already a huge fan of yours and I am SO happy that you reacted well to this one. Thanks, man.
They're in the rock and roll hall of fame and the songwriters hall of fame. They are in the top five for the most albums ever sold. They are tied with Paul McCartney for the most number one songs ever. They have hundreds of songs in their song catalog if not over a thousand. You will never run out of Bee Gees songs to enjoy.
Yeah. Barry, with the lion's mane, was beautiful. They were brothers. That's why their voices blended so well. It was instinct. They had MANY great songs. They wrote for themselves, and others. By the time they did this song, they had been writing music for 20 years. So their catalogue is pretty vast. Even though they were young, some of their first songs were just as moving as this one. These brothers had an ethereal talent that visits earth only once in a very great while. Sadly, Barry, who was the oldest, is the only one still alive.
Back in the 60's and 70's was the time when there were real musicians playing real instruments, real singing, no Auto-Tune, no lip syncing, no drum machines, no mashups. Real stuff
@@barry0709 I personally wouldn't go that far. I love The Bee Gees, but nobody touches The Beatles. However, it is your opinion at the end of the day. Also, The Bee Gees were so unique. Nowadays, a lot of todays music is so god awful bland and stupid!

Welcome to the Bee Gees rabbit hole! Their catalog as performers and song writers is huge and full of variety. They started out as kids singing in the 50s right into the early 2000s until Mo's untimely death. Their harmonies are unmatched. Some of my faves....Jive Talkin, I Started a Joke, and Run to Me.
Most people know the BeeGees from their song Stayin' Alive. I grew up in their pre-disco era and Words was my fave (they started out more as an R&B group). For something newer, For Whom the Bell Tolls is incredible. Sadly, only Barry is still with us, and he's still recording. Their song To Love Somebody was originally written for Otis Redding, but he passed before he could record it, so the BeeGees did it themselves (and it's been covered over 100 times by other artists).
Can't go wrong with the Bee Gees and you hit it, when you said Barry had all the ladies. ....He was a huge heart throb. They have been popular for over 40 years. More Bee Gees please, great reaction.
Popular for over 50 years. Been working at it since the 1950’s when they were kids. They all had the ladies, lol, Andy as well. Definitely can’t go wrong. Barry’s new album and The Bee Gees greatest hits have gotten me through the last year
I love "Too Much Heaven". But my favourite Bee Gees song is "Fanny Be Tender". Barry's falsetto is unreal on that one! And their harmonies once again, are brilliant.
You wanna see Barry really swagged out.... BEE GEES WITH ANDY GIBB YOU SHOULD BE DANCING 1979 LIVE. Andy is their younger brother who had a huge solo career. The song was a huge #1 hit in 1976, and it again went to #1 in 1978 when it was used for John Travilta’s iconic dance scene in Saturday Night Fever.
One of the greatest groups in the history of music. Songwriting (both for themselves and others), the look they had, their range (from R&B to disco), and THE KING OF FALSETTO. No autotune back then; that was REAL!
The singer in the middle is Barry Gibb (Bee Gees = Brothers Gibb). Barry either sang, wrote, or produced songs that went to #1 in the 1960s, 1970s, 1980s, 1990s and 2000s. Along with Jeff Lynne of Electric Light Orchestra (ELO), a lot of top 10 singles were written, sung, or produced by either Barry or Jeff.

I guarantee that you’ve heard a Bee Gees’ song before...you just didn’t know it was one of their endless hits covered by many artists. Thanks for reacting to this beautiful song.
Actually.... Barry is the guy singing in the middle. He was already married when this hit was released. He was not getting all the women. He was always faithful to his wife... still married to that same wife to this day. A good man, for sure! And.... what a true TALENT the Bee Gees were in the 70's!
Early Bee Gees were contemporaries of the Beatles and some of their music had a very Beatlesque sound "I've gotta get a message to you" "To love somebody" "Massachusetts" "World" "I can't see nobody" "I started a joke" "Run to me" "Words" "How do you mend a broken heart" "You'll never see my face again" "And the sun will shine"
Seeing the look on your face when Barry (the oldest Gibb brother) hits those notes is priceless. Barry had an amazing falsetto that no one could copy. Now you need to check out Staying Alive by them from the 1977 movie Saturday Night Fever. They personified the late 70's disco era.
Great reaction to this song! The Bee Gees is one of the most successful groups of all time and this one is only one of their many great songs. I would like a reaction to Bee Gees-Tragedy (1979) or Bee Gees- Morning of My Life (1972).
These brothers are amazing. When they were little they used to sing in their bedroom. I heard a story that one day their mother thought they had the radio on. It wasn’t the radio it was her three sons singing and harmonizing together. They are a one-of-a-kind group. I adore these guys.
5 decades, over 100 hit songs, and wrote hit songs for other artists. The Bee Gees are vastly under appreciated because of their disco era hits (which are AWESOME). Please sample a bit from all decades; these guys knew how to fit their sound into many genres. Also listen to Andy Gibb - Barry wrote most of his songs & the brothers sang back up for him.
I’m a ‘90 baby so The Bee Gees are way before my time but I have been in love with them ever since my dad bought their greatest hits for me in 7th grade. Incredible harmonizing, songwriting, and overall sound. Honestly my top band of all time. I love how much you love them too 💜💜
Hey J, this is in their top 15-20 songs for sure but they have several at the top that will have people debating which is their best. That's how good they are
3 brothers = brothers Gibb. 1960s start, comeback in the 70s and redefined disco. Prolific songwriters who've written so many hits they're in the Guinness Book of Records. Staying Alive, Jive Talking, How Deep is your Love, You should be dancing...the list is endless!
Hey Jay I love watching you and Amber discovering all this great music over the past year. This vid is particularly great because it was when you discovered your fav band and your boy Barry. Keep up the great work and the open minds!
My bedroom walls were covered with them all through the 70's, and yes, Barry in the center was a sex symbol, still is. Sadly the other two brothers have passed away. I love them just as much today. I even saw them live in 1978. They began singing and harmonizing together and performing on tv shows as kids in the late 1950's. Enjoyed your reaction, but they had many different sounds through their career as well as writing #1 songs for other artists. They are one of the top groups in history of chart hits.
Oh sweetie, I’m getting the biggest kick out of your reactions to the songs you’ve been listening to and watching. I grew up during the eras starting in the 50’s. My sister was a teenager then. Mine started really in the 60’s. You have SO much catching up to do!! Enjoy the ride!
Any song you pick by the Bee Gees will be slammin. The two brothers on either end are Robin and Maurice, the twins. R.I.P. twins. Barry is the brother in the middle. These guys are iconic; go down that rabbit hole Boo. It's worth it!👍🏾👵🏿🎵❤
I found your channel looking for Bee Gees reactions. They are my favorite Group. I am so glad I grew up in the 70s and 80's that was a Golden era of music. The Bee Gees stands for Brothers Gibb. Barry Gibb is the oldest brother he was the one in the middle. The other two brothers are twins Robin Gibb and Maurice Gibb. They had a 4th brother andy Gibb who concentrated on a solo career but was going to join his brothers full time but he passed away before that happened. Please react to the Bee Gees song You Should Be Dancing. It has all 4 Brothers singing together,
Ty ❤. It has taken me years to understand their story and immense talent. I'm 60. And even now I'm amazes. There was no electronic help just boys that sang together for a life time. Glad u liked it.
Please be sure to hear songs from all FIVE DECADES they recorded music. (1960s-2001) Most know them from their 70s songs (as this was), but the decade before and the three after had MANY great songs as well. They have more of a range of different styles and lasted longer than any band I know.
Back in the day, we didn’t SEE very much of the singer or musicians like today, but we heard their songs on the radio or bought singles or albums to play on stereos . Yes, Barry was handsome, but their music is what stood out, and BeeGees rocked!
This is from their '70s career.I started listening to them with their earlier hits from the '60s. they had some beautiful songs like "To Love Somebody", "Words", "Massachusetts", and "First of May". Sadly, only Barry, the lead singer here, is still alive.

I had to go back and see your first reaction to the BeeGees 👍
You ain't seen swag until you see Stayin Alive by the Bee Gees
In the day, we considered them pop and really didn't realize just how great they were--i'm 58.
You’ve just listened to one of the greatest groups of all time! True artists!
Their voices were amazing!!
I’m a ‘90 baby so The Bee Gees are way before my time but I have been in love with them ever since my dad bought their greatest hits for me in 7th grade. Incredible harmonizing, songwriting, and overall sound. Honestly my top band of all time. I love how much you love them too 💜💜
Your dad was cool👍
Some many songs to unpack, I hope you enjoy them!
Greatest 3 man band ever.
Bee gees have so many great songs, almost all of them are great songs .
IMAGINE WHAT THEY SOUND LIKE IN HEAVEN!!! INCREDIBLE!!!
Righteous brothers....unchained melody live version is also a guy to get in the rafters
Hey J, this is in their top 15-20 songs for sure but they have several at the top that will have people debating which is their best. That's how good they are
They were amazing I’m a fan for sure
Very good!! REACT FOR WHOM THE BELL TOLLS LIVE BEE GEES...
Siblings harmonizing sounds the best.
Had to come back and see where Jay's Fanboy crush originated from! LOL :)
Hey Jay I love watching you and Amber discovering all this great music over the past year. This vid is particularly great because it was when you discovered your fav band and your boy Barry. Keep up the great work and the open minds!
The Bee Gees were hit makers! They had one of the greatest voices EVER!
WAY TO KEEP GREAT MUSIC ALIVE!
🌴Only a hand full of jams are allowed for next trip to new universe s THIS IS ONE IF THEMM
The Bee Gees.... one of the greatest ever, all of their songs we're number one in my opinion
Just had to go back to see your first vid with The Bee Gees
It has all 4 Brothers singing together,
I was fortunate to grow up in the 50's, 60's, 70's, and 80's. You men have so much music to explore, you can't even imagine.
I definitely will!! Thank you so much for stooping by
Back in the day, we didn’t SEE very much of the singer or musicians like today, but we heard their songs on the radio or bought singles or albums to play on stereos . Yes, Barry was handsome, but their music is what stood out, and BeeGees rocked!
Slow dancing with your sweetheart music. . .
This group was one of the absolute biggest back in the days.
Staying alive Saturday night fever just about any song from the Bee Gees are premiere always.
Pure perfection right there.
Suggestions "Nights on Broadway" and "Fanny Be Tender."
speaking of the ladies,,,,,,,,he has actually been FAITHFULLY married to his 2nd and current wife since 1970,,still is to this very day
I’ve been looking for this video Jorden! Your first time hearing them. I so enjoy how much you love them and I sure hope you get to meet Barry!
This is from their '70s career.I started listening to them with their earlier hits from the '60s. they had some beautiful songs like "To Love Somebody", "Words", "Massachusetts", and "First of May". Sadly, only Barry, the lead singer here, is still alive.
Always loved the dark funkiness of "Love You Inside Out" and "Nights on Broadway."
When it comes to falsetto Barry is 1 of a Goat falsetto singers. Stayin alive & You Should Be Dancing, his runs a sick!
Nights on Broadway is another great one they have
Bee Gees are AMAZING! They also wrote songs and Michael Jackson was a HUGE fan of theirs!
I like to go back to where our love story begins, My man J and the Bee Gees or more specifically Barry Gibb.
Top 5 of your reactions.
