Barry is great but can we just talk about the harmony of Robin and Maurice.. Voices of angels
Thier elderly father who had put his boys together in a singing Christian group in the late 50s in Australia was also a great contributor for the songwriting of the Gibb family for the years they were on top. Barry is the man who everybody else male whatever race wanted to emulate and be like. Too smooth and debonaire to be such a sincere artist
You beat me to it. Without Robbin and Maurice's contributions there would be no Bee Gees, no music. They were a total collaboration.
@@Mr.56Goldtop Amen
Listen when it's only Robin and Maurice singing. They sound like more than two voices.
Facts
Barry, Robin, and Maurice Gibb, masters of sibling vocal harmonies. It's not something that could ever be manufactured.
The BeeGees had those SICK harmonies, usually only found in families that SANG together for YEARS.
There was one other brother, his name was Andy, but he didn’t sing with his brothers. He was a solo artist.
@@moanman1776 like the carpenters, karen and richard....
@@tomschmitz261 Yes, like the Jacksons, Osmonds, Pointers, BeBe & CeCe, etc. The Family Factor Matters.
@@jeffk2679 Andy was a short time member of the band before striking out on His own. The only reason why He was never a full time member was because He was to young. Check it out. ruclips.net/video/y47pXFUjgFI/видео.html
This is Barry's chance to shine, but the twins are carrying the piece, with those impeccable harmonies!!
And shine he did! Like the brightest star in the sky.
Each brother brought something very unique to the group…together they just sound perfect!
Right you are
@@garyneilson3075agree I will.
I love seeing the younger generation appreciating the harmonies of the Brothers Gibb!
And their reaction as a couple is just so adorable!
@@kemitamenophis3221 absolutely agree, faith in humanity and just lovely to see. This has certainly put a smile on my face and joy in my heart
I lovee that soo much too!!❤
Aww.. the 70's and 80's. What a time to grow up in. Music, the people back then were just the best! White Black Brown it just DIDN'T matter. This country needs to rewind like an old cassette tape. Peace and love
I used to like Barry White , but also Black Sabbath , so much great music
Yup... the tv programs were better back then too... especially the comedy programs.
Agreed!!!
Just wait until you hear what was being perpetrated by the u.s. Government in South America in the 70s 80s
People weren't better and people did stupid things too. People were on drugs and overstimulated by media to distract them from the real world.
Corruption, death, hate existed then but I guess of you are a white American dude hopped up on drugs and media you will look at the past with rose tinted glasses
@@jayhollows5729 i think he was referring to how music was back in the olden days of the 70's and 80's. Not about atrocities committed in overseas countries.
You may not know this but the Bee Gees donated all royalties and proceeds of Too Much Heaven to UNICEF. The charity has earned over $11 million since!
What you don't realize is Maurice can sing every level the other brothers sing!!! He has every range and carries all the harmonies for them both!!!!
Yes, Maurice was the one.
@@mariomenezes5974 - Maurice aka Mo was my favorite.
Thank you for that. I always feel bad for Mo, he never got the recognition he deserved. The Midnight Special "Nights on Broadway" live, shows his falsetto and it's beautiful.
Maurice was my favorite beegee voice
@@mariomenezes5974 - Mo could basically do just about everything both Barry and Robin could vocally and instrumentally combined, and he also became a bit of a wizard with new tech in the studio. It's a real shame and somewhat ironic that he could seem overshadowed as a result.
Barry has a beautiful, soulful, versatile, amazing voice with the most beautiful tone. He has multi talents. He’s a god in looks. And he’s a really good man, which makes it all even better.
Robins voice was very special too. Some people may not agree but I think their songs are Timeless.
Robin's voice was one of the best of all time, they were all super talents
ABSOLUTELY!!! 💜💜🤗🤗
One thing is true. : Besides singing , Maurice was the brains behind a lot of the arrangements, he was a multi talented instrumentalist, and Robin his Twin brother along with him had that high peach that Barry had.
Along with Andy , they were Awesome .
I agree. Love them all, but Robin was my favorite. 👍💯🔥
Robin had the most unique voice of all of them in my opinion.
Barry Gibb had lived through so much loss.. It's very Sad to lose all 3 of your Brothers, and Both Parents. The Bee Gees we're a group in the 70's -80's that were on fire!! There music was pure, simple, and great to listen too. Rest in Peace Andy, Maurice and Robin, you are deeply missed 🙏
They also had hits in the mid to late 60's.
I felt so sorry for Momma Gibb. She lost 3 of her 5 children before she died in her in 2016 at age 95. Losing a child at any age is the most horrible thing to happen to any parent. She did blame drugs for Andy's death tho' he did not overdose, but she blamed the damage drugs caused to his body & caused him to die suddenly when his heart gave out.
Actually they made amazing music for 5 decades. They were never as popular as the 60s, 70s, and 80s, but their music was still amazing and their live concerts were very popular. BTW did you know Barry wrote the theme song to the movie Grease?
@@laurieshreffler5028 you are absolutely correct. The Bee Gees were awesome for decades! I did know Barry wrote the soundtrack to "Grease".
@@karenhall1833 - Barry only wrote the one song "Grease", not the soundtrack. Also songs written for Streisand, Rogers/Parton, Warwick, Diana Ross, Celine Dion, ONJ and others as well as most of their own songs were written by all the brothers, primarily Barry and Robin as a team, not just Barry.
No one can sing this way anymore, it has always been Magic 💗🎶🥰☮️
Have you seen the TNT boys? Try to hear them sing too much heaven. 🫰
And God sent an angel to sing to the people he created ,... and named him Barry.
and the female version of a "angel" was/is karen carpenter...
@@tomschmitz261 If I believed in magical thinking, I'd agree. She had an absolutely beautiful voice.
Nah, nah, our beloved invisible unicorn sent him to us. (My claim is as valid as yours. Can't prove nor disprove either, which is why they don't work, and we shouldn't accept claims made without evidence in the first place as it will never lead us to truth.).
And Robin Gibb!
@@tomschmitz261 dam straight
The Brothers Gibb are something special
And the documentary on hbo was excellent on the bee gees
There is nothing like sibling harmony, it's magic.
Everyone notices how high Barry is singing but nearly everyone does not realize how high the brothers harmonies are!
They were all appreciated & realised they needed to be together most of the time and each one was Iconic in their own right. They will live on forever. More please & thanks ❤️❤️❤️
Not as high as Barry though..
I love watching people discover The Bee Gees! As soon as Berry hits that one note people lose their minds. Then bring in the harmonies and game over 😁
They sound as good as they did in the 70s , The 70s had The BEE GEES ABBA AND LED ZEPPELIN How lucky is that ?
Bang on … Amen to that
This song still give me chills, everytime I listen to it (and I've listened to it since it came out!) Especially if I get to watch a younger generation appreciate it for all that it is!!!
The other two guys are his brothers, Maurice and Robin, who were twins. Sadly, they're both dead now Barry is the only one left.
They have a sister leslie that is still with us
Did not know they were twins. They owned the 70's...
And sadly lost their younger brother Andy who had a solo career and would sing with his brothers.
Don't forget about Andy!
Wasn't it Barry and Maurice who were twins?
i am convinced they are angels that were sent to earth to shows us how angels roll. THE ONLY BAND THAT CAN BRING TEARS TO MY EYES, HOW LUCKY ARE WE TO GET TO BE ALIVE WHEN THEY WERE PERFORMING. BARRY REALLY GETS TO SHOW WHAT HIS VOICE CAN REALLY DO. STUNNING
I saw three people doing some amazing singing, all in a high register.
Yes, it does the same to me. I sent my friend their review of Nights in White Satin. I could have burst into tears. I don't want to sound old, at the risk of. Music right now. I don't know.
BeeGees were living works of musical art
Yes, absolutely!!!
Couldn't agree with you more
Don't forget Barry Gibb wrote as many hit songs for other artists as he did for the Bee Gees.
Just an incredible talent all the way around; what would world be without Barry Gibb??
I thought they always co-wrote their songs
@@acousticsong-guitarco964 They did, but Barry wrote successful tunes for other artists.
Not all of the time. Sometimes it was Barry and Robin or Barry and Maurice. Sometimes it was just Barry.
They all did. Worked as a team. I once saw an interview describing how they wrote. It was fascinating.
Not sure who started the reaction videos... but, they're a genius. People, now can enjoy videos of different genres they've never heard of. Music is univesal! love it.
Also, I feel like since I grew up with these songs, I sometimes take the beauty and genius of the songs and performances for granted. It’s fun seeing them through new, different eyes! Thanks for reacting, Amber and Jordan, to this amazing performance by the Bee Gees!
True! Plus the reactions remind me of music I haven’t thought of in years! Great memories!
Right on Evelyn cause radio provides shit these days, only the crap the program director chooses and it not good! Not like the 70s
I agree i love the younger people are getting that supreme feeling when we listen to these classics the words are beautiful.
Not sure if anyone covered this yet, so here's what I know. Bee Gees, are Brothers, they've been performing since childhood. The Brothers Gibb.
I always cry when i hear this song. Because the world definitely need love. To much hate in this world. The song touches my heart right in the sensitive spot. There is so much feeling in this song it's like angels came down and gave us the love we people need. Those who know what im talking about understands me. Much love to y'all, peace, help others, be kind, life is much better that way. Try it and you will see.
If this song is not a masterpiece, i don't know what is.
There will never be another trio like Barry, Robin, and Maurice. Then throw in younger brother Andy and you had the greatest 4-some ever!
I agree. Andy was awesome too
Amen!!!! perfectly said!!!!
It's a shame Andy died before he became a true member of the band😔
Throw Andy in smdh really???? Andy was my favorite of all of them he was so smooth and oh so sexy. People underestimated Andy's talent you can't take anything from Andy he was very talented in his own right.
Mr Shadow Dancer
I grew up listening to the Bee Gees, & you have no idea how happy it makes me, to see the younger generation discover the music we fell in love with !!! All three brothers had amazing falsetto's, however, Barry Gibb, in my opinion, has the most unique falsetto, because in his falsetto, he also used his vibrato, which is very rare! Thank you so much for this reaction, & keeping their music alive 😍 I also believe, that if there is music in Heaven, it would sound like the Bee Gee's ❤️❤️❤️ Loved your heartfelt & emotional reaction guys, this made my day!!!
Isn't lovely to watch the younger generations react to our music and enjoy it. The expressions on their faces is amazing.
Thank you guys for starting this channel.
Dido on everything you just said! There will be never be anything close to these 3 brothers music again
🎼🎸!!
It's not just Barry's voice.Robin and Marice the twins could sing great too They were like another instrument in the band nothing like Family harmony. The Bee Gees were the best at it .When I was a teenager the discos will poping to their music 🎶
That is Barry Gibb the oldest of the three brothers and its his real voice but in falsetto. You can tell they have been singing together for a long time, their harmony is spot on. The way they all hit the staccato in the middle of the verse without missing a beat. Barry's voice hovering right there in the sweet spot in that warm area with that blend of breathiness then pitching up to the higher notes with a hint of nasal in the note then mellowing back down in perfect harmony. Thats true talent
Imagine being a teenager when this song was released. Those were amazing times ❤️❤️
I was. Love them. I was 11-21 in the 70s. My entire teenage hood spent listening to and loving them!
It was magical , thats why there are so many cover's
I was and it was wonderful. We had 8track tapes And we would drive around .. country cruises!!!! Hey watch one night only it was shot in 98 I believe...Vegas. It will give you some real "traction into them.!
@@sharcrum same man ✌️😎❤️
They were and I was!❤️
My heart breaks for Barry. He is the last of the brothers. So much loss in his lifetime 😢. As a teen slumber parties listening to the Bee Gees dancing in our pajamas. Thanks for the memories ❤
Barry and his older sister are the only siblings left in the family.
Grl...me too, sleepovers, disco( beegees), and zits😂😂👍🤠
Robin Gibb : "I started a joke". Barry isn't the only voice in this family for sure. This song brings tears to my eyes every time.
Oh yes!!!
This and the timeless How Deep is your Love
What’s with Robin fans?
This guy Jay sky rockets out to another stratosphere when Barry hits those high notes. So cool to watch sincere musical appreciation.
It’s hardly fair that one man should be blessed not only with the looks and the voice that Barry has, but also be a gifted song writer with so many hit songs for “ the Brothers Gibb” (Bee Gees) and so many other hit songs for a lot of other artists including his younger brother Andy, it just hardly seems fair. Jealous? No. Envious? Hell, yes! But forever grateful that my generation had him to grace our our ears with his music! 🤘😎💕✌️
Elvis Presley!!
Love both of them.
His brothers collaborated on a lot of songs. I've noticed the three names in the credits for the songs. Sir Barry probably wrote more songs for other artists by himself, and with Robin every now and then. Maurice was so quiet. He was 'the man in the middle of a complicated plan.'
@@brendawilson8208 After they reunited after a brief split in the late 60s Barry took the decision to put all 3 names on all their songs to try and reduce friction. It didn’t matter how much/little each contributed.
Glad some of us paid attention to the details and between the lines. Like the time Andy said in one interview on TV that He Andy had been given co- writing credits to "(Love Is) Thicker Than Water" when all he contributed was half the Title!! Barry wrote the song, and Andy wanted "to set the record straight." Barry was a song- generating genius.
The BeeGees had those SICK harmonies, usually only found in families that SANG together for YEARS.
they did
When I found out this was live & done in one take I completely freaked out. It was already a masterpiece.
The are if the angels 😇
I know is just freaking incredible, it blows my mind, I'd like to see any so called artist today rise to this level.
Me too I bet no artist nowadays could sing notes like this. Everything now is auto tuned to death
The brothers harmony together is so beautiful, but Barry can sing
The Bee Gees melodies are some of the most beautiful I’ve ever heard. Their catalog is chef’s kiss 😘
So true.What a great expression.x
It's amazing that their voices sounds so perfect together. Not only the notes but even the vibration effect in their throat are 100% equal and no autotune needed .Wonderful, still after those years.
Autotune is shit
Robin was the one with true vibrato, a rapid variation in pitch that is extremely rare, natural and cannot be learned,
Hard to imagine that Barry is the only surviving brother of the Bee Gees now but back in the day they were almost definitely heaven sent and had fantastic voices with their harmonies. God bless you and your family Barry and thanks for the music.
I mean, the BeeGees are seriously the MELT a heart melodic magic! ❤❤❤
The Bee Gees are the only singing group that has had a hand in literally saving thousands of lives all over the world. And they are actively still doing it today. When doing compressions for CPR everyone is taught to compress the heart to the beat of "Staying Alive".
Barry is like a hot falsetto singing Jesus.
Killing it Mary Anne!! 😂😂
Yessssss!
The Brothers Gibb, and the best falsetto ever.
And as he’s gotten older, he looks like the Father himself (as portrayed in traditional artwork - if God needed glasses). His voice is still divine. This song on Greenfields, Barry’s newer album, sung by Barry and Alison Krauss is absolutely amazing! It’s quite different, with Barry using a lower tone of voice (maybe down an octave?) and allowing Alison’s voice to shine. It’s heartwarming and gorgeous. 🎶❤️✨
@@giannafrancis5176 yes when I saw the real Jesus that is exactly what he looked like
No one comes even close.
This is perfection.
they are all smiling because they know it's another hit
I've heard this song a million times, but I still get chills! You're right, Jay! Barry has the voice of an angel! Thank you for this. Great reaction!
Another Barry you should give a listen to is Barry White. NO ONE sounds like Barry White, NO ONE!
"Can't get enough of your love babe"

He sang baby makin’ songs, love Barry White.
What about Barry Manilow?, or Barry Biggs?, or Barry Blue?
It would seem the name 'Barry' ensures a great singing voice!
Sadly, my name is not Barry, & when I sing I sound like a goose farting in the fog!! 🤣🤣🤣
Agree! My son says Barry is so sexy he would sleep with him. I was lmaoooo!
I got to see them live in 1979 with my best friend and we have been married for 42 years now. I asked her to marry me at the concert
I can't stop smiling through the song and the your moves and faces through the whole song. Makes me laugh so much bc you love Barry and The Bee Gees so much. Amazing reaction keep them up
They donated that song, and ALL proceeds, to UNICEF. It's raised millions of dollars for hungry and sick children.
Please let’s give his brothers their share of credit for some of the most amazing beautiful harmonies I’ve ever heard and combined the 3 sound like angels.
You can't teach that harmony. It has to be in the shared DNA.
They're so relaxed and comfortable, they have their hands in their pockets, totally in control, amazing vocals 2nd to none, GOAT

I can't tell you how good it feels to see so much love and respect for the Bee Gees. I grew up in the 70's and looking back now, I guess it's somewhat understandable considering music history but most people that loved rock and roll did NOT like the Bee Gees. I loved them! Their family values made me love them even more! Thank you for sharing! I love you guys!!
I remember, back in the day, rockers were ashamed to admit they loved the Bee Gees and ABBA. Early 80s everyone was dancing on the grave of disco, but in their headphones were these groups, with the lights out and the doors closed.
Bee Gees were one in a million. Love their music

Such incredible music, brings tears to your eyes. This is how angels sound when they sing.
You *REALLY* should watch the 2020 BeeGees documentary, "How Can You Mend A Broken Heart" on HBO Max (which is also the name of one of their songs). They started in the late 1960s as teenagers but their path to skyrocketing to fame in Saturday Night Fever and beyond, from England to Australia and to the U.S., is great, with tons of concert footage. So much sadness along the way, and now Barry is alone after losing all three brothers so tragically.(Ironically, another great song by them is called "Tragedy")

Had to come back a year later just to watch Amber's reactions to Jay on her first time hearing the BeeGee's and seeing how much Jay was Fangirling over him! LOL
As a LIFELONG fan of the Bee Gee's, ...I'm Soooooooo GRATEFUL to You Jay (and Amber:)) as Young people Appreciating Classic '70 music such as the Bee Gee's!:))) ...Bob P. of Mid Coast, Maine. 😊❤😊
Jay over here fangirling over Barry! Haha. But seriously, Barry is the real deal, and you're gonna discover just how true this is when you listen to more Bee Gees songs!
You probably already know 'Stayin Alive', but some other songs you could react to are 'Fanny (Be Tender With My Love)', 'Love You Inside Out' (audio only, you need to hear it this way), 'Tragedy' (again, audio only, it's the BEST way to experience this song straight up), 'Night Fever', and 'More Then A Woman' (lyrics video). If you just want to listen to Barry's falsetto straight up, there are heaps of songs (without music videos) that you could react to from Bee Gees 'Spirits Having Flown' album, too. Definitely save those for reactions though, if you can hold out that long, because the songs on that album are mind-blowingly good.
“Words” is another one of their greatest songs!
You MUST watch the video of "Alone" has it has got Home Movies from them singing at 8 yeard old upwards and family clips interspersed with many clips of their life.
Wonderful song and video.
Fanny Be Tender for sure!
Nights on Broadway, Tragedy, so many!
I remember when it hit the airwaves for the release. My sister and I just sat there staring at the Stereo mesmerized. Nothing and mean Nothing sounded like that back then! What a time for music.
Had the great pleasure to back the BeeGees with my Scottish Band The State Property in 1968 in Selkirk Victoria Hall in the South of Scotland in 1968. A great night!!!!
The melodies and harmonies these guys created are absolutely timeless.
I absolutely love how you have embraced all the different types of music that are out there. Music is the common thread that binds us all.
I just love you guys! Amber has such a sweet beautiful smile and Jay’s antics are hilarious. His faces and poses during Barry’s high notes totally crack me up.
Wow Barry is my favorite artist too handsome charming with most amazing beautiful stunning voice ❤❤
Everything about this song is so beautiful! From the production, chord progressions, the brothers' sweet sexy harmonies, to the music arrangement. Barry, sing it, baby!
Barry's voice is otherworldly... I appreciate him more now than back when I was in my 20's.... I was a young rocker then and a disco hater...
Love to see you young one's see what we grew up with ,we loved them then and still do ! In times when music was uplifting and everyone sang along !
Watching again! Barry sacrificed for that falsetto. He said he has chronic back trouble from the compression on his spine it took to reach those high notes. Thank you, Barry. Maurice and Robin’s perfect harmonies are the rich tapestry that those high notes weave through. A nearly perfect song from nearly perfect voices. My all time favorite group from the late 60s-80s.
I can never get enough of watching Jordan's face as he listens to his, "Barry"!!
These boys were really something!!!!! As a teenager, I knew all their songs!!! Because my Mom was ALWAYS playing their stuff 🤣❣️
He is now "Sir" Barry Gibb, he was Knighted by the Queen. Just like Sir Elton John & Sir Paul McCartney!!
Tesla - Love Song!!!!
Also knighted: David Bowie, Mick Jagger, Ringo Starr, Rod Stewart, Tom Jones, Bono (of U2), Robert Plant (of Led Zeppelin), and Ray Davies (of The Kinks).
Heck, you could start a series of reacting to musicians who have been knighted, Google tells me there's 28 and I've heard of most of them.
@@DC_Prox Actually, David Bowie declined the offer of a knighthood. Bono is Irish so he received an honorary KBE. Robert Plan received a CBE, which is the next thing under a knighthood.
Another sellout!!
So what's your point, all I did was make a comment. Never asked for your knowledge ,(for what it's worth, not that I asked or anything)
This is one my of favorites and Robin is so cute here. When I researched them about a year ago, I learned they started in the late 60s. Because of the soundtrack's success from Saturday Night Fever, they were considered disco kings for quite a while. That's why they concentrated on writing for other artists and didn't do another album for many years. Even though each brother had a short solo career, Robin had the best success. In the late 80s, their little brother Andy was supposed to become an official Bee Gee but he died before it happened. Their last album was done in 2001 because Maurice died the following year. Then Robin in 2012. It would have been really cool to see what they came up with for future albums but Barry is now is solo artist.
Who doesn’t want to be Barry right? They’re masterclass. They’re like Halley’s Comet…. Once every eighty years if you’re lucky.
There was a reason The Beegee's music was colloquial called 'baby making music'. They were well known for driving women wild with their voices almost as much as Elvis was. Plus, forget their voices for a moment (hard I know but try) and just listen to the words. Its a beautiful song meaning wise. OH and 40 years later, he can still sing like that.
I was in Jr. High in the 70's when disco was all the rage and the BeeGees were all over the radio and Saturday Night Fever was a blockbuster movie. I was a Rock and Roll fan back then so I was very anti-disco. I look back on all their music with fondness these days. Strange how that works.
The Brothers started singing in 1958...they reinvented themselves over and over again relevant during the 60s, 70s and 80s...for over 3 decades.
Quite a bit younger was the 4th Gibb brother, Andy, who had a brief solo career but passed away in 1988...followed by Maurice in 2003, Robin in 2012.
Jay has me in stitches in this video. This is a real Bromance.
Their greatest song in my opinion. This song is a vocal masterpiece!! 😇
Fun fact. The group donated all proceeds from this song to UNICEF.
Amber, I can tell from the way he wanted to share this song with you and how much he's feeling it, that Jordan loves you every bit as much as Barry loves his wife.
Barry Gibb has a range that's unbelievable...it was during a recording session for another song that their producer suggested that there should be one of them doing some fills so Barry volunteered and out came that fabulous falsetto for the first time....the rest is history!
"Too Much Heaven" is a song by the Bee Gees, which was the band's contribution to the "Music for UNICEF" fund. As of 2003, "Too Much Heaven" had earned over $7 million in publishing royalties.
Brotherly harmony.....can't beat it! I love the Bee Gee's! So sad that Maurice and Robin are gone! I know I've lost 3 brothers and it's tough. Love y'all's reaction and ya'll as a family. 💜🙏🌸🦋 from Texas
This is by far one of my faves, man. Barry is just unbelievable. It is a well-known thing in music that any brothers that sing together harmonize really good. The bee gees harmonizing is top notch. Love it! ❤️
Saw them live in 79. Indiana best concert ever. Spirits Having Flown.
