Tuesday Next I actually cried a bit, Matt along with the players have such an organic way of weaving together such a compelling group to actually care for. They live for each other, they would die for each other, and you see the progression for them getting to this sort of trust, and it is so rewarding reaching this point.
Oh gods! Please someone do an animatic of Fjord coming out of the seaweed cocoon with the music and voices edited from the scene Steve comes out of the test-tube thing!
Fjord is the “everyman” on his redemption arc and finding his place in the world with a new dysfunctional little family, and that’s why I think he’s amazing
That will always be one of my favorite Fjord moments. Powered down, near powerless and a normal person by any stretch of the world and he holds back a remorhaz with sheer force of will.
Such a great moment for the party, knowing that they will literally do anything to make sure their fellow adventurers are safe and able. From giving him loads of magic items when he'd lost his powers to all helping him get his powers back. Really solidified 100% that they're a full team now.
Caduceus:Hey Fjord, The Wildmother is giving me a brother Fjord:Oh wow, that sounds ni- Caduceus: *Gently places adoption papers on the table* It’s you, please sign here.
From the moment that Fjord got this sword and he became a paladin, an idea popped into my head: Dwueth'var is a Vestige of Divergence and will Awaken when Fjord becomes level 12 (9 Hexblade / 3 Paladin) and gets his Paladin subclass.
i love Fjord and caduseus's student-teacher relationship where Cad teaches Fjord about faith and gives him the sword that Caduceus worked so much for, because the sword would never have been refjorged if it wasn't for him
I honestly think that without molly's bringing the group together more or other characters would have died or had a much darker tint to the campaign and well maybe a free uqtoa
I mean if Molly never died they wouldn't be anywhere near this place. The sword and the Dust Family were all solely Caduceus things - heck, the Dust Family wouldn't even exist in this world without Taliesin creating Caduceus and his backstory. No one would have been as interested in that sword as he was, and they certainly wouldn't have known they needed to come here to refjorge it. Really, the entire state of the campaign would probably be extremely different if Molly hadn't died, he had been the closest thing to a leader the Mighty Nein had in the beginning, so there have been an absurd number of critical plot points where Molly very easily might have shifted the group perspective to do something different. Fjord very well might not have reached this point of breaking his pact in the first place without Caduceus in the mix. I've questioned whether or not the Mighty Nein would even be part of the Dynasty now if Molly had been around to have his say.
i wonder, was the wildmother/a character like caduceus def going to appear? or was it just a happy little accident, matt needed to introduce the group to her, and tal just so happened to need a new character, so they worked together to make cad, i believe that fjord was gonna dump uk'atoa anyways, so maybe having the wildmother and fjord meet was all apart of the plan, matt just got help from tal.
Hexblade and GOO are separate subclasses, he was never GOO. He's keeping his warlock levels and just took his first paladin level (probably going to go path of the ancients since that one is super nature themed)
Giraffe Dragon I think he s a celestial warlock as opposed to a hex blade now. He could have taken a level in paladin too idk until the next episode airs
(Spoiler I think) I think it was the accent of his captain that he was using, like, he pretended to be like his captain while having the hexblade and once he discarded it he decided to be himself from that point on
He breaked his pact with his old patron, did one with the wild mother, they reforged a sword called Star Razor and he became in the same time a paladin of the Wildmother.
I know nothing about critical roll but I like dnd and my dad listens to it and my favorite party member Is fjord and when I asked my dad about why he had a accent he said he wasn't a warlock anymore? So uh what the actual fuck happened?!?!
Fjord never realizing that Caduceus always meant for him to have the sword is just such a wonderful little character touch.

That part made me cry a bit too. I'm back here years later, still tearing up. What an amazing story.
Tal saying “embrace your destiny” as Matt gave him the item is the story telling equivalent of yoda training luke sky walker and I’m here for it
I love how proud he looks the whole time. Like "That's my boy. He did it. I knew he would."
Jester had her Agent Carter after Steve Rogers came out of the super soldier chamber moment 😂
Oh gods! Please someone do an animatic of Fjord coming out of the seaweed cocoon with the music and voices edited from the scene Steve comes out of the test-tube thing!
Draco wolf kanekuo did that
OH MY GOD! That's exactly it

“Suck it kale, you bush league super food!”
Kristian Bailey eyyyyyyy
I appreciate this reference.
Oh that’s that good s***
You. I like you.
To anyone who gets the reference I’m happy because all of us together now “WILL GO OUT IN BALL OF MOLTEN ROCK AND DEATH!!!!!!”
He also successfully held back a remorhaz with only a wip, pure will, and a giant cat's claw
That will always be one of my favorite Fjord moments. Powered down, near powerless and a normal person by any stretch of the world and he holds back a remorhaz with sheer force of will.
I always wish there was more fan art of that moment, it would be so cool to see it committed to visuals.
Nott giving him genuine praise afterwords without her usual snark added greatly to the moment for me.
i just love watching taliesin's face through all of this... he's so proud it's adorable
Such a great moment for the party, knowing that they will literally do anything to make sure their fellow adventurers are safe and able.

Really solidified 100% that they're a full team now.
How to know if you have good friends, they danced with an ancient dragon with you to get you a sword.
To stripping him naked in the middle of winter? :-)
"Oh yee haw!!" I'm dead 😂😂

Underrated comment
Trial_With_An_Error absolutely how Caddy Shack would act. Brilliant comment.
I ugly cried so hard at this comment.
Everyone screaming when Fjord turns into big Nott is my favorite scene, it’s just too funny!
Dude, all the pointing and pandemonium is fantastic!
From the moment that Fjord got this sword and he became a paladin, an idea popped into my head:
Dwueth'var is a Vestige of Divergence and will Awaken when Fjord becomes level 12 (9 Hexblade / 3 Paladin) and gets his Paladin subclass.
Could very well be
Well, He has the “Oath of the Open Sea”
I think this literally just happened on tonight’s episode...
Pretty close. Matt tweeted a nice little detail about the sword ;)
10 hex / 3 pala! You Were sobre close
i love Fjord and caduseus's student-teacher relationship where Cad teaches Fjord about faith and gives him the sword that Caduceus worked so much for, because the sword would never have been refjorged if it wasn't for him
Jester's been trying to get his clothes off for a while now.
7:43 don't mind me, this is just for personal use...
"Is Wilford Brimley in there?" is such a deep cut, Liam, and I'm here for it.
I wonder what would have happened to Fjord if Molly never died.
Prolly wouldve never got refjorged
I've been thinking the same thing.
Solsumi well this whole campaign might have gone in a WHOLE different direction.
@@DinoTamer-22 They might not have even wound up working for the Dynasty.

I love everyone screaming in the end it's just the best
07:43 Hahahaha..I was laughing alone thinking about this moment a while back. Glad to find it. Sam is a treasure to mankind.
I never find it tiring, the way they scream when Matt says “And that’s where we’ll end tonight’s episode.”. Particularly Travis’ scream
I loved hearing the old Vox Machina music in this section
Matt reused all of the music from campaign 1
Fjord waking up different showing character growth and stuff
*Spikeroog starts playing in the background*
Me: *Chills of approval and perfection*
Caduceus and Fjord’s relationship was the best thing about C2.
Love that sudden realization at 7:03 when he’s like wait shimmer!
Haha the big nott moment reminded me so much of grog
XD.
I love how liam and taliesin both look at each other for a second and then crack up
Fjord got B E E F Y
Beefier.
Right. For all of Nott's jokes, he had a strength of 11 before this, which is average, not weak. He's actually physically stronger than Beau now.
Tal looks so amused through this entire process
I honestly think that without molly's bringing the group together more or other characters would have died or had a much darker tint to the campaign and well maybe a free uqtoa
Taliesin is the glue to C2 period. It's fantastic.
Mental to think how different this scene would've been if Caduceus wasn't there. If (sorry to bring this up) Molly didn't die.
I mean if Molly never died they wouldn't be anywhere near this place. The sword and the Dust Family were all solely Caduceus things - heck, the Dust Family wouldn't even exist in this world without Taliesin creating Caduceus and his backstory. this is what i love about critical role, the story is so flexible.
I love how Nott has an obvious crush on Fjord now xD
Okay...the whole gang screaming was REALLY cool!
This is my favourite part of this episode
8:27 This crackup is so much funnier if you assume it's in-character.
the 9 dislikes are uk'otoa (uk'otoa), the deep scion and the sea spawn
If that sword is a Holy Avenger I will lose my shit
Wait a second, did he just become a patron of the wildmother?
Yes.
yes
And a Paladin on top of celestial hexblade.
I missed your uploads so muchhhh 😍😍😍
Fucking Seawead wraps are the shit!
That line slayed me so hard my hernia popped out hahaha
Jester- "You were wet and..."
Yea he wasn't the only one
Nice
Fjord gets a new Swjord!
This is gonna be so cool to see in animation
3:50 Sam desperately wanted this clipped
"What happened?? Do you like bread?!"
"What?"
They're going to animate MN. i cannot wait to see this scene.
fuck i cant wait to see this animated legends of vox machina style
Ok so he’s still a warlock but... is he still hexblade and GOO?
He is a warlock/paleden matt posted a tweet forgetting to let the others know they lvl up so fjord is now multiclassing
Probably hexblade but Celestial, now. Multiclass paladin.
Hexblade with a level of paladin, from the looks of it!
Great video name bud :)
" um i had a dreeh- hmmmph i did have a DREAM"
Hmmm progress~
I just finished this a few days ago.
WHAT HAPPENED TO HIS ACCENT WHAT
Oh boy you gotta catch up
(Spoiler I think)
I think it was the accent of his captain that he was using, like, he pretended to be like his captain while having the hexblade and once he discarded it he decided to be himself from that point on
"Do you like bread?"
i never fully understood that... is that a reference?I'm up to ep 32 at the point of this comment
Let's just say, that Matt makes it clear in no uncertain terms that Polymorph and Wild Shape are two different things.
Reforged? What happened to him and why is he now reforged?
Also, i dont care for spoilers.
He breaked his pact with his old patron, did one with the wild mother, they reforged a sword called Star Razor and he became in the same time a paladin of the Wildmother.
He is Palalock.
so im lo
oking forward 15 episode of sadness with Fjord no powers aww.....he is my faw
I know nothing about critical roll but I like dnd and my dad listens to it and my favorite party member Is fjord and when I asked my dad about why he had a accent he said he wasn't a warlock anymore? So uh what the actual fuck happened?!?!
Fjord's cowboy accent was his fake accent, and as it turns out, his actual one is this British one.
