I'm so glad The Unquiet Dead worked for you! 👍 The phallic stocking positioning on the cover of that first romance is hilarious. 🤣 Completely agree about mixing in the strict/semi-predictable genre stuff in with heavier or more serious work. They're like the literary version of a fluffy blanket!
So glad you got the chance to pick up How to Turn into a Bird! And yeah, I do the exact same as you - read across a wide variety of genres, which keeps my reading feeling fresh. I have a video going up on Saturday talking about exactly that, actually!
Yaaaay for The Stockings Were Hung! It's nice to have those books to break up heavier reading, I'm glad it did that 🥰 And yay mysteries!
Yes! Thank to the stockings I'm back on a romance binge 😃

Exactly like a fluffy blanket 😃
I love reading a bunch of different genres at once, although sometimes I will get in a mood, and read like a bunch of romance in a row
Yes! I love this 😍

We're on the same wave length!
Exactly feelings about why I love mystery, romance and thriller ❤❤ To be honest I mix almost all of the genres but less sci fi and horror 🤨
The only genre I don't mix in is poetry... I just have a hard time with it but it's probably just a mental block 😅
