For me, managing fear and anxiety have been a struggle. I’ve been able to make a lot of progress by eating right, getting regular exercise (consistency is key - not intensity), journaling and getting exposure to outside. I almost always feel calmer after spending some time reading or walking outside with no phone to distract me.
One great way is to go into peripheral vision/awareness it really stimulates the presymplectic nervous system and relaxation response and internal dialogue also slows down a lot as well. A very great Martial Artist Tom Muzila once shared with me a way he trained this, He got a pair of glasses and taped the lenses to cover the front while being able to see out the sides and top and bottom. He actually said he worked in a lobby while wearing them most of the day. It does really help you develop Peripherial vision and awareness quickly. Just something to try and see if it works for you. There are many great videos and articles on using this as well.
To my dearest most precious Kim... How do I deal with worry and anxiety...I will tell you... I meditate. However...I do not meditate like anyone else. When I meditate...I do not focus my attention on anything...I float. I just allow my mind to drift to wherever it wants to...and I do this all day, and everyday. From the moment that I wake up, in the morning...my mind is just drifting...without any control...until I go to sleep. And I have to tell you...I am not worried about a single thing...not money, not cholesterol, not crime, not the future...not a single thing. I am completely carefree...and happy. Affirmations, don't drink coffee in first 30-60 minutes after waking. Let your body wake up naturally. If interested look at the science of decreased cortisol levels as well. After regular shower turn it cold 2 minutes. Oh and don't be so serious move at your pace, not the pace of the world.

It’s called morning syndrome and it’s when the body produces cortisol to wake you up. Try gentle tai chi or Qi Gong movement to dissipate the cortisol first thing…. Just for five minutes will help. ❤
