Adam Beardwell grand tour is available in 4k. you can also go to primevideo.com using Chrome and request the desktop site and it would work in 4k. I used RUclips on my z5 premium like this only to get 4k because RUclips app didn't have 4k support back then
You're correct, Sony's website does say you can, but when we went onto the Prime Video app, it only offered a max of 1080p - both streaming and download. We tried several shows including The Grand Tour and Red Oaks - but none offered a 4K resolution. We have raised this with Sony and are awaiting a response.

If you activate stamina mode and choose the option not to limit the performance of the device you'll be truly impressed how good it will perform. At least that's the case with my Xperia Z5 Premium.
I watch 80% of my favourite youtubers in 4K, and i shoot vids in 4k for my channel. So the fact that you dont watch and interested in 4K content, doesnt mean that it doesn't exist.

That thing is $1000+ here... Oh! and you could've recorded a 4K video, then watch it in the same resolution. That's the actual reason 4K display is there, and that's the biggest advantage of this phone...

Alex Paes I was referring to the plus model. Even if you consider the simple S8, it depends on your country. S8 in my country is 92000 rupees (around $920) and S8+ is $1000+ here... LG G6 is 72000 (around $720), and I'm pretty sure XZ Premium will be around 75000. See the difference!

Hands down! This is the best phone review style I have ever seen on youtube. You captured everything I wanted to know about this phone. Watched so many other youtube reviews and I have to say this one is the best.
The best thing about the 4k hdr screen on a smart phone for me is making the UHD video capturing worthwhile as I can reviewing all the footage you captured in its native resolution. Hopefully this feature will be implemented into more phones in the future.
I can't wait for this phone for the 960fps and 4K (curious about 3D SBS videos on 4K screen viewed in a VR Viewer) but only recently upgraded to the regular XZ. I've gone from XPERIA Z > Z3 > ZX and never wanted to switch brands. I'm quite proud to be a SONY zealot right now
What about overheat with using camera, because with XZ we have issues with short time limits of recording in 30 fps or 60 fps around 5 minutes top I hope you realy answer my
the dram sensor isnt a gimmick. it makes the memory readout 5x faster tahn anything else on the market which means distortion free photos and you can potentially use google like hdr software using the dram sensor to your advantage. give it some time for Sony to optimize its new hardware including the color sensor and it will blow everything else currently out.
I just bought this phone unlocked on Amazon for $605. It's the International version, which has the fingerprint sensor enabled, unlike the US version. Can't wait for it to arrive Monday.

Question: Does it still overheat n shut the camera down after about 30 mins of full HD recording? I've been using Xperia phones the last 5 years and am currently using a Z5. Still can't record longer than more 30 mins in full HD, n it's like the middle of winter now, 10 degree celcius. No issues when recording in SD. But who wants to record in SD these days.

I choose a phone on the overall performance as opposed to how pretty it looks. Very impressed by the display.. More natural than many over saturated amoled displays. It also looks like the fastest / smoothest phone out right now. God camera, audio and no bloat (very stock feel).. Could be a contender for my next phone. 👍
Amazon Prime's 4K HDR content will be available to watch in full resolution on the XZ Premium, it may be that the app has not been updated yet as the phone's launch is still a few weeks away
When playing movies, games & taking pictures. How hot does the phone get ? All Xperia phones have always run warm-to-hot. I take pictures often & it's disappointing to have my phone warm up when I take too many pictures.

I don't get all the complaints about the bezels, I prefer the look and feel of a phone with bezels, and there is a higher chance of your screen surviving a drop. I hope that future phones keep the bezels, plus dual front facing speakers are amazing and require them. (currently using the xz and love the design)

Im still on my sony xperia z. It's still run pretty well most apps. But the XZ Premium seems like a good upgrade.

yes as on my Z3 or Z5 Premium dual burned same place on LCD near power button lines like 2cm, so i guesss battery normaly hold not more 1 day.
