Gunn talking about his direction is great. You often hear actors talk about finding the truth in the role or scene. But sometimes they forget to PERFORM
4:03 James talking about how he was reluctant to kill Yondu because he knew the actor in real life is absolutely true. In the DVD commentaries, most of what he does is thanks his friends for being extras on the film.
Can I just say how absolutely happy I am to see Perri every time I go to the movie theater during the previews? As someone who adored AMC/Collider Movie Talk back in the day, it’s so amazing, and makes me incredibly proud, to see how far she has come. Fantastic interviewer, great movie fan, and delightful human!
I think ai know exactly which scene you’re talking about. And I agree, Im not a huge DC fan outside of Batman but I very happy for what those fans are about to get with Gunn at the helm.
I love how the way james gunn talks about making movies. Down to earth is an understatement. It really makes you feel like he is just a normal person not someone who just directed an incredible movie in the mcu making millions of dollars.
@Michael O'Connor sure it does. Pretending like its not is a blinding experience however choosing to be humble is what truly makes the difference and james gunn does that and thats why he is so likeable in these interviews
This interview right here really gives us insight and gives all of the guardians' actors justification as to why they refused to do Vol 3 without Gunn. Bravo to them for twisting the mighty mouse's arm into submission. I'm so glad all of us fans finally get to see the conclusion to Gunns vision/trilogy.
Is there a chiropractor on board? 🤔 Because Perri is literally, singlehandedly carrying Collider on her shoulders. She's the best. She deserves a raise, also. ✨🖤
I’m happy for you Perri! I know how much you love GOTG! I felt the same way in 2014. I left the theater mind blown at how amazing this movie was. Full circle!
Gunn: "She would have hooked up with Adam Warlock like she does in the comics." Pratt: "Oh, that would be good for *the*... that'd good!" Chris getting close to spoling Marvel's upcoming plans? xD
I'm just lauging by now. This is the 3rd GOTG vol 3 "interview" with the same curtains, same clothes, same chairs, same crap. They just replace the "microphone stand" (a person pretend to be an interviewer but asking pre-written, promotional or propaganda questions).
I guess you don't know what a press day is? They invite multiple publications to a location and they each get a small time slot with the interviewee, who stay in the same room all day. The questions are naturally pre-written beforehand to save time.

Could listen to James Gunn talking about film all day
I know right
Hes a cinephile at heart
@@rbleaks818 No he's not! Those tweets were dark humor and it was ages ago. Let it go already!
@@MrGenexxx CINEPHILE is FILM EXPERT like Tarantino Scorsese and Wright
NOT THE OTHER WORD

What a film. There’s one shot in this movie involving Adam Warlock that told me we are getting the best Superman movie with James Gunn at the helm.

This is a great interview… prompted by insightful and thoughtful questions and genuine responses.

He is just a normal person. He just spent years nurturing his talents and drawing from meaningful experiences.
@@WordsofIvory he is very far from living a life of a normal person

JAMES GUNN is fantastic
So is Chris Pratt

GOTG 3 will be awesome. I’m so hyped for this last ride.
Spoiler alert: it is awesome
James is basically throwing a jab at method actors like Jared Leto and I love it
And Austin butler
Dont forget Daniel Day-Lewis and Christian Bale are method too
I don't think he's throwing a jab, I think he's just saying "don't burden yourself by trying to force your emotions"
@@MsTriangle Bale is not a method actor. He's just a really great actor.
Yeah he wasn't literally saying ur feelings don't matter, but that it's okay if he not 100% feeling the emotion while performing@@PowerCrunchVideos

Cant wait to see who james casts as the new Superman. Dc's future looks bright. 😊
Love seeing Perri to talk to these guys. Cant wait for Vol 3.

Holy shit that was a great piece of directing and acting advice from James Gunn.
best interview so far and i have seen them all>>>> the second one is the one on IGN for me at least with "come in screaming"
Great questions.
Nice interview Perry
JAMES GUNN THE GOAT!
nice interview from peri :)
this guy is the BEST comic adaptation director currently
Yasssssssss Perri got this ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
3:02 Was Gorilla Grod the major character he killed in Peacemaker?
nah murn bc he was part of the ensemble
Michael Rooker should play a major role in Gunns DCU. Maybe PA Kent?
One thing is clear from this interview - Gunn is good at politicking.
What makes that so apparent to you?
Tell everbody
Waiting for superman
To hold on, best they can
Gunn: "She would have hooked up with Adam Warlock like she does in the comics."
Pratt: "Oh, that would be good for *the*... that'd good!"
Chris getting close to spoling Marvel's upcoming plans? xD
How on Earth does James get his hair like that
All white hair in the face and head is cool asf
Groot hasnt died...hes been in all 3

A lot of spoilers in this interview I recommend not watching it.
