I'm someone who almost never cries and unironically enough, the only movies to ever make me cry were 2 MCU movies. Tony's death hit me, but I didn't start crying until Happy asked his daughter what she wanted to eat and she said she wanted cheeseburgers. And then the other one was this movie which I won't spoil.
What makes that even better is that I never cared for the Guardians or the movies. I never felt the "relatable-ness" people seem to feel towards them, I never connected with their struggles. Maybe it was because, like Chris Pratt said, something "funny" would happen 10 seconds later and ruin it. I don't care for the humor but this one had a few moments even I smiled at. As for the emotional moments, I was holding back tears so much for I'd say 1/3 of the movie. This movie does have that same exact humor the other 2 movies had, but it doesn't happen right after any sad moments. It does a very good job of letting those emotional moments breathe. It lets us continue to think about what just happened instead of "haha look drax is being very literal and stupid".

One of the best trilogies ever including everything not Marvel. Once James Gunn said he saw the whole thing thru Rocket's eyes made pt 3 that much more better. He'll undoubtedly find success at DC but GOTG was his master piece. Out of all the characters and groups available he chose probably some of the hardest to accept into hits. Thank you James. This was truly an adventure!

However simple, fantastic or goofy the story goes, an emotional magic happens, particularly in the third film - and elevated me up to utterly unexpected cathartic tears, out of full-blown empathy. Surprisingly great cinema!

Loved this movie and franchise, everyone came out of the cinema last week pretending not to be wiping a tear 😂 it’s joyful, sad, funny, corny, definitely a bit of light in a sometimes dark world. Great cast & crew, it’s obvious on screen that they work so well together, thank you Guardians you will be missed 😢🥰🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🇬🇧

OMG i had never seen that behind the scenes clip from the dance off where Ronan Gamora and Drax join in. I LOVE it and it's now the canon ending to me lol. Ronan loses the dance off fair and square and gives up the Power Stone and leaves that corner of the galaxy to got focus on his dance moves for the rematch.
