Welcome to Area Zero 2: Electric Boogaloo, featuring:
- The most cracked spanish child the world has ever seen
- An irresponsible obsessive teacher
- A 14 year-old VGC player who's 3/4ths of the way through his Joker arc
- And Carmine, who somehow is the normal one here
Juliana/Florian(the player) is implied to be from Galar. Their mom uses British/Galarian slang and has a Skwovet, and they moved in shortly before the start of the game.
Dont forget my little pony
I absolutely loved this place. The way it still makes Area Zero even more mysterious than it already was. My only problem is that there wasn't much to do. No rare Pokemon there. No cool items we missed the first time. But I think that's also the point: we're *not* supposed to be back here.
There is actually a hidden Stellar Tera Garchomp to defeat and a hidden room full of lots of Tera Shards of all the types!
That is the point. The lack of Pokémon makes this place eerie. Heck I get hesitant to return to that place.
Well there are Carbink which are not found anywhere else on Paldea.
@@JJKSauce well yeah but you can get one in chargestone cave
@@KieranburgessBurgess No, they’re found in caves at The Land of Kitakami actually.
The contrast with Area Zero's main theme is absolutely stunning. Area Zero has a lot of industrial instruments and a mournful tone to the melody with the chorus only coming in at select parts. Comparatively, this is so much softer, quieter, a much more pure sound with a much more neutral, ambiguous tone.
We've reached beyond what was potentially spoiled by humanity's intervention and now we're into the pure, clean, untouched majesty of the Great Crater and the direct source of Terastal Energy.
I didn’t think Area Zero could get more beautiful… then I found the tree.
I heard a rumor that it's a fully grown Herba Mystica.
graphically it looks horrible but the concept is pretty cool
My starter hit level 100 underneath that tree.
The one tree in Pokémon that everyone can enjoy.
@@lunalgaleo1991 makes sense
The nostalgia Gen Alpha is gonna have with this game when they get older will be crazy.
honestly though. those kids wont be remembering the lag spikes and bugs by the time they're adults, just like how people now dont remember the problems in gen 1 and gen 4, or the indifference and disdain towards gen 5 back when it came out. those kids are eating good now, and i bet they'll be just as obnoxious as we are about our favorite gens lmao
good for them, genuinely
@@PatManDX I sure as fuck remember the disdain toward gen 5 when I was a kid. never understood it, always thought it was the peak of the main series games.
Also young gen Zs
I was around when pokemon red and blue came out. I was talking about it with my older brother and my nephew who I introduced to scarlet said “wait, there’s a pokemon red and blue?”
@@PatManDXI like how gen 5s only problem was the disdain for it when it released 💀 peak games, just like I always thought
The original area zero theme had a “land lost in time” feeling to it
THIS though…. Literally feels otherworldly, like being transcended to another reality
To me it feels like being in presence of the begining of life itself, like a place trapped in hte time of its origin
That crystal tree on that island made me think it was a reference to Yggdrasil, the world tree. The Underdepths does feel and look like a different realm altogether and you did just cross into that realm yourself. Most stunningly beautiful part of the game IMO
It's interesting that you would say that because Terapagos' Stellar Form is a reference to the World Turtle.
Wait. Was the crystal tree a hint to Legends Z-A, cause Kalos Legends are based on Norse mythology?????
@@Aeonsteel AYO, Tera Aura Trio?!
And just when I thought the best area in the ENTIRE Paldea region couldn't get any better...it did, by a lot
was literally 4 small caves
@@jimmyjohn6479 Small...but beautiful
Just like Terapagos
I love how tranquil and harmonious this sounds like this was suppose to be the original theme for upper area zero’s location but got scraped and saved for later however that marinated it and allowed it to get better like mom’s leftover spaghetti
This theme is so beautiful that it made me cry the 2nd time I heard it.
The faint, deep, rumbling synths that start up in the background at 1:40 sent shivers down my spine. 😍 This was ABSOLUTELY worth the wait.
Love all the area zero and tera battle lemotifs
iirc Toby Fox helped quite a bit with this OST, and I think he collaborated with at least one of the other composers on Area Zero, which explains the surprisingly heavy use of leitmotifs this time around.
My top 3 all time Favorite areas are: The distortion World, Ultra Wormhole and now Area zero! 💙
I didnt think this theme could get any better, but here we are. Captures the undertones of mystery and unknown strength very well too. When i heard this i immediately said to myself "yep whatevers down here....is going to f@(#* us all up, and I'm perfectly okay with that"😂😂😂
Even better than the above ground Area Zero theme! Incredible!
Simply divine.
Down the heart of time, a lullaby sang of a world laid in slumber, a dream of another existence, one where all are started...
It's a CRIME that Area Zero got such little attention. Aside from it's lore and final dungeon and Terapagos, there's... nothing. I think the Underdepths should have been one final bit of lore and have more open up after getting Terapagos.
0:50 this bit is really good!
Who else cried when they heard this for the first time
I just finished it today and I thought I was weird for tearing up. I loved this DLC so much omg
Even more better when you look at your baby sleep while this plays
I love the choir, these voices are so relaxing and wholesome but also creepy at the same time.
i definitely did. the familiarity but simultaneously the feeling of “there’s more” hit me so hard. this game is so good, especially the DLC
@@joshsunderland8896This...I just thought of something. Is it just me, or does this weirdly sound like a lullaby? And Terapagos is literally sleeping within the underdepths
I love Area Zero ❤️
the journey back into area zero is so nostalgic even though it’s been just a year since we were last here. last time, we came with our friends from the academy whom we built love and admiration for over time. and despite kieran’s attitude, here we are again.
but somehow it’s different.
as familiar as this place is, as much as it is the area zero we witnessed with nemona penny and arven, this is unexplored territory. we’ve never been here before, but it feels like we have been. the soundtrack only furthers that. the choir is much more “methodical” and “relaxed” in contrast to the regular one being kind of “punchy” and “loud”. it’s almost eerie- fitting for a venture into somewhere we likely aren’t meant to be.
absolute masterpiece.
This music maybe if you remove the crystal sounds in it...maybe it sorta sounds like a night theme of Area Zero
This game is gonna be so good in 10 years
Now I gotta accept, these are now my favorite no. 1 games previously it was the gen 5
it’s been tough coming to the conclusion but you’re totally right
@@isaacmaze7897 I was already convinced with the main game but dlc increased my love for gen 9 by a lot
I feel so blessed by the fact that the reply section isn't a warzone. As a gen 9 lover it warms my heart to see it
@@TypicalSergio23 Arven's doggo alone made me convinced, I didn't care about technical stuff.
Gen 5 almost took over Gen 3 for me back then. Gen 7 was another contender this game though I feel like it's close too definitely has amazing stories will have to see how the epilogue ends things off!
I can easily compare this to NieR Automata ost!
The echoing chimes add an even more ethereal vibe to this than the original had.
I’m waiting on someone to sample this 😍😍💎
Guys it has lyrics😮😮😮
Really?
This could have come out of nier. Beautiful.
Does anyone know if the chant means anything? Like, are there lyrics or something?
I don't think so. It uses the Rhodope2 Bulgarian Choir VST, that's all I know for certain.
@@Mystmonoh okay thank you!
@@nwp-hz5dmAlso, it is a 10-syllable loop.
What i here looking in my basement for stuff
I want to know the lyrics to this.. 😭
it could perhaps be a made up language, I'm VERY UNSURE but each region had some sort of this random language attached onto it. Be it in cities or music. Similar to how Village Bridge in BW where you got a choir of a guy. I'm assuming this is Spanish..? But I could be horribly wrong.
@@H0n35tnope, this is far from being Spanish 😂
maybe latin?@@H0n35t
@@pedrosegundo8109 I said I could be horribly wrong 😭
I remember someone saying that *maybe* it could be Bulgarian. But it could be also wrong lmao
I like to thing that the chorus its made by the spirits of the deceased terapagos 😢
Reminds me of Home Alone
my fav part of home alone is when the protagonist put terapagos on kieran's face and he screamed like a girl
@@edgytoucan3444ah hell yeah
Keiran: *Im not afraid anymore!*
I guess that makes Florian; Fuller.
can someone translate the singing? Is that possible..
Thats Toby Fox for you. ☝️🤙
Toby Fox didn’t arrange the Area Zero overworld themes, but he did compose them (Go Ichinose arranged the main Area Zero theme and Hitomi Sato arranged this one)
@@pokefandylan2117 thanks for the correction
@@thelongestshadow3389 you're welcome!
With the majesty of this area ill admit i was disappointed a bit with tve size of Terapagos. I expected some giant turtle.
Remember when we thought Terapagos would be Area Zero itself?
If Nabou is the michael jordan of rpg music.... toby fox is definitely the kobe bryant of this ish...oh my gosh!

@@pokefandylan2117 oohhhh ok...well....the music is still fire and so is toby fox🤣
Composing them makes it HIS work. @@pokefandylan2117 arrangements are just variations of an already created piece. So yes, this is primarily Toby's work.
Theme is nice, but Terapagos is tera-ble. Change my mind
I thought terapagos is cool
