Good to see you are back. I always find your videos educational. When do you edit your videos, underway or at home? I work 12+ hrs a day as the 3AE on prepo and never find time to chill.
i edit them after work, reading comments like this is what keeps me going. i do not earn much in YT but knowing that my videos at somehow help other people is more than a prize to me
I'm learning first hand what a nightmare hot plates and heating elements can be to work with at work. Seeing fresh wires for a change is awesome. I've never thought to use an insulation tester on anything besides a motor before, seems like it did a good job.
Thank you for this video. In your experience as ETO onboard, it’s common to see electrical failures in the galley/ electric ranges? It’s fair to say that cooks are prone to experience electric shocks when using this type of equipments? Second, would you recommend to perform an insulation test for the hot plates? If so, which insulation you recommend to use for testing?
Good thing that electrical spare availability onboard is at hand. just sharing my exp before on suez crane. no electrical problem of sort but a broken mechanical part for lowering and hoisting of crane. if I can still recall correctly..the driving rotor was cut neatly..that you cànt easily see unless you open gear box.
Thank you for sharing knowledge.. I have one doubt, if we don't have limit switch spare then will you bypass limit switch for temporary till spare comes ?
i will modify the circuit and put another limit switch that will stop the hook once reach a certain distance from the boom. i will take other limit switch regardless of the design
Sir. Thank you for the videos. Posible po kayang hihina yung hiring na crew for container Vessel if magkaroon nang low demand nang containers? Kasi wala na masyadong biyahe dahil sa low demand? Salamat

Hi Jake. Did you check why the cook got a small electric shock from the hotplate, was there poor earthing somewhere? Welcome back😁
that is because of the earth fault whenever the hotplate is at hight temperature
Welcome back
thank you
