I absolutely loved the world building of 2005 Kong
The tram ride at Universal was an experience you could get nowhere else. The animatronic monsters of Jaws and Kong. The earthquake and flood. Among many other amazing things. Todays use of CGI and Imax is something that can be recreated at Disney or any other place. I’m glad I got experience the original rides. That was the theme park golden era.
Don't they still have Jaws?
Mechagodzilla was definitely called King Kong in Germany, not only in the title but in the dubbed dialog. It's one of my earliest childhood memories :D

The 2005 version is the BEST remake out of so many the quality couldnt be higher (the Skull island short furred version...not bad, as more of an Ape man walking upright all of the time).
to me it doesnt matter what technique is used, bringing Kong to life, as long as it's convincing, and has charisma, also awesomeness

AND i also think he SHOULD make a video were he talks about another great science fiction from good old UK, were Doctor Who is from too; Thunderbirds from 1965. It was my Star Wars & Star Trek when i was a kid. It dosen't get alot of attention in media & havent been referenced in alot of movies, movie-series & tv-shows that reference alot (The Simpsons & Wallace & Gromit did it though). And honestly it makes me sad. So HOPEFULLY James Rolfe will review Thunderbirds too. Also in Zelda 2 he played he mentioned an thunderbird & its a missed opportunity to have a reference to 1965s Thunderbirds. Also hope Nostalgia Critic will take on the 2004 remake that aged badly.

King Kong lives is seriously one of the worst movies i have ever had the displeasure of watching
Im sorry but the kong 2005 version has the best effects of any of them by far. Its just a fact. Anyone can like what they want, of course i love the 33 version and it was so revolutionary but i think the 05 version is by far the most revolutionary as far as special effects go, only second to the 33 version, since while the updates and revolutionized effects are far superior to anything that ever came before, whether it was "actually there" or not because that doesnt matter and is the dumbest shit i ever heard to stick up for practical effects especially since its a 2d image and you objectively can't pretend the 76 version is some how more realistic compared to the vastly superior and objectively more realistic lookonf 05 version. I love them all, and preferences are fine and everyone can like what they want, but claiming that inferior obsolete special effects are better than the vastly superior and photo real special effects is objectively wrong. You can prefer one or the other but saying any of them are better than the 05 version just is not true and anyone saying that is lying to themselves and others. Except for skull island which has better effects for the simple reason of being made 12 years after the peter jackson version. But the p version is easily the most revolutionary since the 33 version, yeah they used motion capture alot of the time in LOTR for Gollum but the 05 kong used it to a far greater extent and more effectively and realistically. But again, this idea the 76 version is more realistic sfx wise, as well as say the og toho godzilla films compared to the 2019 godzilla is again, objectively not true. I own all 32 godzilla movies, ive watched them since i was 2 or 3, but the cgi in that movie is once again objectively superior to anything and everything that came before it. I love james no homo, avgn, monster madness, and cinemassacre in general, but hes easily the biggest troglodyte ive ever seen. he ignores objective facts to the point its near delusional unfortunately, similar to a certain American political party beginning with an "R". except that they dont believe what they say, they know theyre lying but it helps the rich and hurts the poor so they do it anyway, not that the other party starting with a "D" doesnt lie or make decisions that only help the rich and hurt the poor, because they do, theyre all evil, but the "R" party have been evil for longer by far, but its that same delusion in the face of objective facts that frustrates me so much. Modern motion capture is by far superior to anything before it, although some thing should always be practical, blood, gore, and sometimes movie monsters like the frankenstein monster should sort of always be practical because it doesnt require full cgi like the vastly superior American godzilla trilogy ending with godzilla vs kong. If they attempted to use rubber suits in that movie would automatically destroy a huge chunk of public interest, besides just straight up being inferior to cgi and motion capture. We have to move on from pretending cgi isnt better than practical effects, because it is betteer period, sorry not sorry.

So, this person’s opinion that “objectively” the 05 version is far superior (and yes, that’s what they say even as far as to say it’s better than the OG 33 version which is absolutely just a big steaming pile of shit belief, but hey it’s their opinion so that’s ok their entitled to it LMAO) than the 33 version because of the special effects. That is NOT the point. OBVIOUSLY something from almost 100 years later into the future is DUUUHHH going to be better in the effects department, but as I said NOT THE POINT!!! the reason that the 33 version is hailed as an essential classic and is so important to future filmmakers and movie goers alike is because when it was made, it was COMPLETELY REVOLUTIONARY!!! The blood, sweat and tears that went into that movie are INCREDIBLE and absolutely nothing done before it was anything like it at all. Even James says that it’s absolutely insane that this movie came out in 33 because nothing had ever been done like that before and it was so ahead of it’s time and that’s why it’s so classical and remembered so fondly. So yes, I understand what they’re saying, but no I absolutely disagree. There would be no 05 version without it and Peter j was so inspired by the original that I think even he would disagree with them and share the opinion that just because the effects are “better” means absolutely nothing. I mean seriously it’s laughable that they can’t even see why anyone would disagree with their “objectively correct and better than” “opinion”. The person acts like everything they’re saying is fact!! Nope, sorry dude but I disagree. The effects of the original are actually far more important and groundbreaking than the 05 version because at the time NOTHING ELSE IN THE WORLD was doing what that film did, you look at the 05 version and I’m sorry but it’s just not as ground breaking because although the affects are good, it’s not something that had NEVER been done before dude! And THAT is what makes the original far superior and and everlasting in the history of film!! No offense bud (lmao) but your opinion is WRONG!! And then they go off on a spiel about politics??? I’m sorry dude but u completely lost me with that insane comparison lol, if it can even be called a “comparison”.
