    Hi Dr. Livingood, I recently came across you and have liked your page. I just had my cholesterols done and my Dr. wants me to go on Statins, I am a nursing student and know the side effects and asked her can't I do something eating wise first, she wasn't on board with that, she said I need a statin. Here are my numbers: The first number is my number and the second will be the labs normal levels. Triglycerides 237 should be < 199, Cholesterol level 267 should be

    I am 81 yrs old. Blood pressure is very good, no drugs. My biggest problem is insulin resistance & overweight belly fat. What can you recommend. What is your opinion of GOLO?

    YUMMY. YUMMY YUMMY. YUMMY.
    Avocados did it for me! I ❤ avocados!!
    I buy the smaller size at Costco, & eat a whole one every other day or so. I make up a plate lined w lettuce or spinach w avocado, tomatoes, onions, cukes, a few banana peppers, green olives, maybe artichoke, little cubes of cheddar or monterrey jack cheese, & Hellman's loaded w garlic powder & black pepper. Then black pepper sprinkled on the appropriate veggies.
    I know the mayo sb replaced, but I figure as long as I have all these yummy food on my plate, I'll eat more if I have a really good something to dip.
    Not a fan of humus.
    Maybe I'll try Chia seeds again.
    Any other suggestions?
    I'm usually a plain jane but I could maybe try adding/swapping other veggies sometimes.
    Oh, I forgot...no salmon. Instead I may open a 3 oz tin can of "fresh catch tuna in light olive oil.' I stopped eating tuna bc the looks & taste of store-bought tuna was not good.. I saw an ad online for
    this "Fresh Catch Filet" tuna that sounded great
    I ordered a 12-pak box. When I tasted it, omg, it was like when I was better than growing up. We always bought solid white tuna in water, bc I didn't like the oil. This tuna w light oil...yum!! I drain off the oil for the most part, but leave a spoonful for salads. When I priced it vs store-bought, it was cheaper by bulk of course, and it worked out to be less than ie Stardust can for can.
    Last order. I bought 6 12-pak boxes. I'm afraid of not having access. This is not an advertisement. I have no vested interest whatsoever. It's just really good tuna & affordable when I have the money.

    My new doctor wants me to take a statin. I see it’s 200 on my cholesterol. I’m complicated with type 2 diabetes. It’s now caused my kidneys to go south. (stage 3).

    FMD of my carotids. BUT taking a teaspoon of olive oil every morning has been helping with the tinnitus that comes with it! It's mild...thank GOD!

    Dr. Livingood, I was just diagnosed with high cholesterolmy numbers are total 211 and my LDL is at 137. I do take vitamin D3 , iron , and B12 supplements because both were low . I also take your multi. I’m not over weight and I’m a 56 year woman. What can I do ? The Dr wants to put me on medication.

    Do flaxseed oil supplements lower cholesterol? I read that flaxseed lowers your testosterone. I’m a 53 year old male with high cholesterol and don’t know what to do.

    Off topic, but unsure where to post this question. I really hope you see this and are able to respond because I'm driving myself nuts. I have started buying the most delicious grits I've ever tasted. Bob's Red Mill Corn grits. A few months ago, I cut out all corn products but then I found this. I don't believe it's stone ground and they say it's "partially" degerminated. Please, please give me your opinion about this. And thank you for all you do to educate us. I'm taking what I learn from you and sharing it with others and I watch your videos daily. 💜 BTW, my weight is VERY stable. I weigh daily to be sure I don't lose too much weight. I vacillate between 113 and 115 lbs. I Cellercise at least twice a day 7 days a week. But I'm going to begin 1 rest day. But my aunt is prediabetic and I'm asking about the grits for her as well as myself.
