I just finished replacing the window regulator and motor in my 2014 CX-9. I couldn’t have done it without your detailed instructions. Thank you!
Sept. 9, 2023.
Thanks for the video. It took me a little longer than the video but I would have never attempted it without it. Couple of things I ran into that slowed me down. You make taking the electrical connectors very easy. I had some issues there. It took me some time to get the lock cable and door handle cable back. But that was my fault, I went back and watched how you put them back and I was good. I did break a couple snaps taking the door panel off. But I got everything back in place and everything is working fine. There is a way to reset the automatic up and down feature too. Thanks again for the video.
Great instructional video. I really appreciate the clear, step by step approach you guys take.
Very informative...my CX-9 window goes part way up then makes a clicking sound like a stripped gear. Would this be regulator or motor slipping?
Great video - one school of hard knocks is to reinstall the 10 mm window bolts by hand - slowly. They are easy to cross thread. Gaul the thread or snap the plastic connector and you will buying a new window. Trust me I know.
Great video! I really love how thorough you are with your instructions. One question, what can you do if the window won't move down to expose the bolts attaching the regulator to the glass?
Thank you so much for taking the time to make this video! Because you were so thorough in showing the steps to do this, I was able to do a repair that would have cost me hundreds of dollars. All four windows needed new motors and regulators. Two windows done, and two more to go. Thank you so much! Excellent video!! Dee
This is an amazing instructional video. I need to do this in my CX-9 and already got the part. Just need the time. I appreciate you taking the time to help us!
This is a great instructional video. I was able to replace the window motor and regulator under an hour with no issues.
Great video I have a question though. I have a 2008 Cx-9 that the window goes down fine but on the way up gets stuck 1/4, 1/2, and 3/4 of the way up, makes a loud noise when it gets stuck and I have to pull up while pressing the switch for it to go up. Does that sound like a motor/regulator issue or is it off track???
Thank you and great video, especially the information on how the panels clip into the door. That will probably save me from damaging at least one of the panels when I do the job. The only thing I would add or change is when you are reinstalling the inner panel, reinstall the push clip first, then reinstall the 10mm bolts. That clip is designed to hold the panel in place when the panel is reinstalled, so you may as well use the clip as it is designed. I would also replace the 194 bulb in the door panel light as it is an inexpensive part, and the major expense in replacing the bulb when it burns out is the labor cost to remove and replace the door panel. Thanks again.
1:16 Great video, saved me time and money. However, I didn't remove the harness, and the speaker, I just flipped the interior panel, everything else I followed the video...Thank you
Thanks a million! I was able to do this in my driveway and save hundreds! You guys are awesome!

I have a question, is it the same gear for 4 doors.i appreciate your reply.thanks
Great video!! I did find it easier to install the motor before putting the inner panel back on the door.
+Ren A Thanks for the tip! 1aau.to/m/Shop-TRQ
Thank you for your video
I was able to sucesfully install my window.
now show us how to do this with a non working regulator; in my case window wouldn't go up all the way and I managed to have the glass slip off.
When replacing broken windows, make SURE you vacuum out the glass bits at the inside door bottom. Or the glass bits will clog up the drain holes and bottom of doors will rust much quicker.
Hey mate, if I were to buy a new window regulator would I have to purchase the motor as well? Cheers
Great video! How do you know if its your power window motor or regulator?
Amazing work buddy😍🇲🇨🇲🇨🇲🇨
Is this a fix for a window that is clunking while going up and down? And sometimes getting stuck down
Great video but I can’t fully align the window. It goes in at a slight angle. I’m stuck on what to do. So I guess I’ll have a slight off window. 😠
Any idea on how to find what size/type the "nuts" are that secure the window track? I had a body shop lose those and my window won't stay on track? I can't seem to find this in part list.
+Zach Beck Thanks for watching our video.
We do not have the Specs on the nuts at this time.
How to fix when the window seems to drop off from the guides when window goes all the way down
You forgot to say what to do when it GRINDS
