How is your black flame ball doing so much damage? I have my godslayer’s seal at +24 and my faith is at 99 and it does like half the damage that you do even though my seal boosts godslayer incantations and scales all the way to S tier with faith. I’m so confused. That’s with me using the fire scorpion charm and Flame Grant me Strength

I show two versions of the build: one has Erdtree Seal for 80 Faith, the other Dragon Communion Seal for the split with Arcane & Faith. Both can use the same spells, and have similar Spell Scaling (Dragon can get more actually). I just prefer Arcane + Faith because of the versatility it can give your character.
The dragon community seal is one of the strongest seal. With 99 faith/arc it has over 400 scaling. You never reach this with just faith seals. Even with 40 arc/faith it outscaling all faith seals with 70 faith.
If your mid game and dont have access to High tier heavy armor, The crucible Tree set or Scaled set are both pretty good and fairly easy to get. Crucible tree is more involved but boosts Crucible incantations.
@@cRPGBro Crucible Tree chest + Crucible Axe helm is some serious drip. My personal favorite combination is Crucible Tree chest, Erdtree Sentinel Helm, Rahdan boots and gloves.
I'm working towards a Crucible Knight style build focusing on the incantations and staying more on the melee side, but I love this build and I'll have to grab some of these beast incantations! I love being versatile and having a solution for a bunch of different problems so this is perfect!
I really like versatility as well, which is why I went the Faith/Arcane route. Elden Ring is a very long game, so sometimes you get bored of just casting or meleeing, it's nice to switch when you want! Crucible Incantations can be fun too, Crucible Tail alone is very damaging and hits a big area. Just have to manage the high FP costs. Godfrey Icon Talisman really helps for Crucible as they tend to allow charging.
@@cRPGBro Yeah, I'm only about level 60 right now and just beat Rennala so I have to explore Liurnia a little more, grab the Black Flame and Also get that Frenzied Flame cause that looks sick! I'm using the Clawmark seal right now for the STR/FAI scaling and since I'm also using some beast spells for now but I'll definitely give that one a try!

I have a similar build and am currently lvl 133. Started as a Bandit, all bleed daggers and a bow, but then respecced a little to go more Arcane (60 now). But then after started bumping up Faith (currently 36). My Str & Dex are a little higher than what is done here, as I wanted to use a few cool weapons. I'm also using the Sorseal talisman to bump all my physical stats +5. Such a fun character. Even before putting any points into Faith he was more powerful than any other build I had played. My main was pure Sorcery but I quickly got further with my Rogue character. But now with some great incantations he feels like a demi-god. Focusing mostly on Blood, Rot, and Madness incantations. :)
Yep, it's certainly one of my favorite playstyles too! You can also go for Antspur Rapier and add Poison & Bleed to it, so your weapon procs Rot, Poison & Bleed all at once :)
Your build sound perfect for frenzied flame build that I try to build but unfortunately I waste too many larval tear,miss frenzied flame quest and upgrade the wrong seal.
For PvE I encourage players to go with the Arcane path due to a lot of bosses are resistant to Sacred damage... Arcane is so good with the Occult affinity and works as a pure stat for spellblade builds.
Arcane is indeed amazing for the huge versatility it can give you! Most of the Faith spells shown here should deal Lightning, Fire or Physical damage, at least.
Watched some of your videos and I have never seen such genius builds which can include some normal weapons too. I thought that the stats the game was showing was everything but you forced me think otherwise and made such fun and powerful builds with such creativity. A sub from me
One thing to note, dragon communion seal ADDS ARCANE SCALING TO SPELLS!!! Bleed spells and madness spells proc super easily and hit like a truck with the double scaling. Plus the variety you get from from weapons, to spells, to statuses with dragon incantations......easily my top pick for best seal even for pure faith builds considering requirements are pretty low for the better incantations.
@@samyer5559 I believe it is like that, which doesn't matter for the build because both Faith & Arcane will add to Incantation damage, and since we go for an Occult weapon, we can't buff it anyways with let's say Black Flame's Blade. The only thing you'll "lose" out is higher healing, but you still get 45 Faith with this build eventually, so even buffing is still decent enough at the earlier stages when you don't have the Occult upgrade.
Why would you go for this split seal for a pure faith when you could use the erdtree seal? Erdtree has the highest scaling for seal in the game? (Asking because I’m honestly interested not being a dick)
@@fxlonyz1655 cause there is no real benefit in going full faith. You get much more with arcane/faith build. Scaling wise, the dragon communion seal scales better as it increases with 2 stats. And high arcane increases blood loss and let’s you use dragon incantation

I'm new to Dark Souls games and like half way through the game on a Int dex mage build and I'm considering just starting a new game. These faith builds looks like so much fun.
You don't have to start a new. Game. You can find larval tears and respec your character to anything you want. I Respec'd 11 times on my first playthrough just so I could get a taste of everything. Faith/dex and faith arcane builds are a ton of fun. Probably my favorites.

You're welcome, and thank you for the comment. This build really combines a lot in quite a neat package. A Sauron Build does seem very interesting, perhaps based on the Godslayer/Black Flame Incantations we have in Elden Ring for starters. Some pretty cool armor sets for it too I think.

Man I feel like faith is such an unintuitive build in this game. I've had to do so much research, exploration and testing myself to no avail; I now see that you can do 3-4000 damage with black flame as opposed to my meagre 7-900. I am happy that I finally respecced off of faith, but I've somehow completed most of the game using a bad version of it obviously.

@@mihaimusi1172 better off asking the OP or looking at his early game build I'd say but my experience: For faith weapons I used dual wielded scythe, as they outdamaged any spell. Halo Scythe you can get from the Cleanrot knights who hold that weapon on a random drop, which has the weapon art which fires holy halos for cheap FP. Very early on you can get Angel Wing scythe in the weeping peninsula. Early on I think mana drain will be really boring spell wise, especially in the open world, so maybe find the sacrificial axe ASAP and the ancestral spirit's horn when Nokron opens up. Definitely search for as many golden seeds and sacred tears ASAP. Other weapons hmm maybe the tree sentinel halberd, or just putting a fire/sacred WA on anything. Because I was using the blackflame / lightning myself I used the godslayer seal to cast, I think you need to max the seal to really scale. It's easier to upgrade somber weapons, so maybe use dragon communication seal or golden order seal as your casting seal, with the "bonus damage to" in the other hand. Faith itself I tried at 50 but the high faith spells aren't that good so I dropped it to 40 and took stats elsewhere to boost scythe damage. The specific golden seal for lightning type spells is the gravel stone seal, but that's available in the capital which is pretty late in the game. Apparently some of the dragon spells are very good, such as Rotten Breath, but I wouldn't know because I didnt level arcane. All the best spells are in the video obviously. The incantations talismans, are honestly just garbage. 4% and 8% bonus damage respectively, with the 8% one being easy to miss picking up. However, there's fire and holy damage talismans which add a notable 12%. It's like I say - unintuitive build, nevermind having to find the prayer books for the spells, or the spells themselves, you almost need a walkthrough for the entire early-late game if you want to maximise faith casting.

I want the blasphemous blade as an upgrade for the scythe But for me the spells are primarily as i don t have a lot of experince with melee combat . After faith that i have at 50 . What do you sugest that should be the second stat ? DEX for casting spells or strenght ?
@@mihaimusi1172 blasphemous blade is great, it's weapon art has high damage and a lot of stagger, plus a relatively short cast time. I think it's very important you keep pushing that seal to +24 asap, or find one of the somber versions like the dragon communication seal or golden order seal and get them to +9 asap. If you are debating where to spend stats you can't go wrong if your vigor is at 60, endurance to maybe 25-30 for equip load/stamina, and mind 25-30 to make better use of flasks. After that you might go dex if you are using spells to make them cast a bit faster but there's also radagon's icon that is worth 30 casting dex, really easy to get at the Raya Lucaria debate parlor grace, go outside and look over the right banister, go up the ladder. Since I haven't tried DEX to increase cast speed I've not paid attention. The icon will let you test whether you think that it makes a big enough difference to level into dex versus mind or more faith. There's also some spells that use int or arcane, maybe worth dipping into and trying. And lastly, most sacred seals have some form of strength scaling, but if you can't squeeze the spell casts in can you justify the tiny extra damage? I think in a game you get about 15 respecs, so can always try a tweak here and there. Also most damage comes from +ing your stuff, so you don't need to worry too much about stats doing damage as much as stats keeping you alive and attacking.

Glad to hear it, bro! Faith Build can indeed be super versatile, with spells for all enemies, no matter if common or boss. INT caster eventually is more of Comet Azur spam vs bosses only.
I wish you got extra poise while casting incantations. Maybe bonus damage (less than a fully charged cast) for dealing damage up close to really get that Paladin feel and a more varied play style than sorcerers.
Yep, getting Hyper Armor during some of the longer casting Incantations would be great! I think some of the Dragon ones do have it though, like Dragonmaw.
I have no idea why they removed the poise casting from DS3. It was the only thing that made faith miracles really work in that game. Too many of these have no hyper armor and slow wind ups, making it so that you can rarely use them without getting staggered out of them before they cast.
One thing you can do is to use the Endure Ash of War, which gives you a lot of poise for 5s. It can be really useful to tank through small hits and get out the longer incantations Just put the weapon art on one of your off hand weapon you can swap in and out to
Honestly after playing some more and watching different videos…. Incantations really need some buffs and tweaks. Without getting too much into damage specifics and cast times, I think the best thing to do would be to add hyper/armor poise to more incantations to better differentiate incantations from sorceries. Incantations have worse trajectories than sorceries and nowhere near the same tracking. So you’re incentivized to cast and charge from a distance without the extra benefits that sorceries get. I’m not asking to face everything while I cast incantations, especially if I’m not wearing the heaviest of armors. But I think it would help add more variety of play styles, especially for pvp. Tbh I’m a little biased towards the godslayer incantations. I think they look great and are interesting enough. But black flame blade could be buffed to 20 seconds or so and not be OP. Scouring flaming has TERRIBLE tracking once you release it and in my experience It’s so easy for an opponent to sidestep it. Noble presence is also way too slow for the size of the aoe. Love your work, you helped me a lot with Wrath of the Righteous. Still need to beat that game 🥵

You don't have a long range answer in your build thats where Frenzied Burst is very important for areas like carian study hall or miquella haligtree. Either that or you need a bow otherwise you gonna have really hard time especially at the haligtree. Solid build anyway!
Frenzied Burst is a powerful spell too, I forgot to include it indeed. But for long range, your Lightning Spear actually can hit enemies from decently far away, same as the Glintstone spells for Sorcerer.

I went from 80 arcane to 80 faith and then put my arcane at 20 I don’t notice a difference really tbh in the arcane, rivers of blood still does the same dmg

You can indeed! Critical mostly only needs Flame of the Redmanes to truly work. But you'd have to change to the Misericorde Dagger if you really want to get juicy crits.

Great video! I personally feel for range attacks Frenzied Burst is better than lightning spear but of course if your build is centred around lightning faith with the appropriate talismans (Lightning Scorpion) and Seal(Gravel Stone) then lightning spear is great.
I am glad I explored the game on my own and didn't need video like this at all. Discovered all this on my own and it 100x better than having it handed to me. With that said this is good for people who don't have the time.
My late-game experience is that u need arcane blood (dual twin-blade) & blasphemous faith set. Some minibosses, esp those w/ ads, are so fast that u got no chance at all w/ twin-blade but so easy w/ blasphemous (it's also easy to get). Vigor 40 is good enough for ads, cuz bosses & mini-bosses, 2-3 hits staggering, u die anyway. 40 Faiths & 40 Arcane is enough. If u like Twin-blade put more into Dex. Blood Arcane handles dragons & giants very nice & blasphemous gives u distance fire attack against aggressive bosses (Cuz they come to u they will get hit, while u have to dance twin-blade around them) & great for farmings ads.
Thank you! I apologize for that, it's because From Software did not add ultra widescreen support in Elden Ring, the game automatically adds those black bars on my monitor. And the only way to fix it is through mods which make you bannable online.
You're sure to prevail 😀 Remember Elden Beast does a lot of Holy damage, so it might be best to go with Golden Vow + Divine Fortification, and also the Opaline Bubbletear & Haligdrake Talisman +2!
one comment after watching this a few times. Your gear is essentially reliant on constantly having the buff from your great run active. That is a finite item and i get they last until death... but for a guide so in depth it really doesn''t point out the pitfalls of this. I nearly respec'd my character before realizing i'd have to have the run constantly active to even use the jelly shield
That's just a personal choice of mine as I often have a hefty stock of Rune Arcs. But you don't necessarily have to go with Godrick's Great Rune, since outside of Faith, Arcane & Vigor, you have a lot of points to spare. You can also end on lower Faith & Arcane for the lower softcaps, such as 35 & 50.
Yeah, Rock Sling can be a pretty great spell too, especially for enemies that have their heads as their weakspot, since you can send shards flying upwards!
@@cRPGBro I actually meant the gravel stone seal idk how auto correct effed me so bad 😂 but that seal scales with s and gives a 15% boost to all dragon covenant spells not dragon communion. So all lightning spells or about 90% of them are dragon covenant which allows this seal to hit like a truck with 80 faith.
Great video, just one suggestion. I don't think it was necessary to include how to get things. The video is about the build, if we want to find things there are tons of other videos for locations of things.
I found it more worth my time to put points into mind than vigor since as a caster I rarely am close enough to be hit by anything, but there are areas where I've gone through about 10 bottles of FP before I get to a site of grace. I also found dex to be really important, I initially ignored it, but when I respec'd with over 30 dex, I found my spells did cast a lot faster which made the difference between easily beating enemies, and sweating it out with my glass cannon build.
I’m having too much fun with the faith scythe and erdtree talisman combo, maybe I need to adjust to get a little arcane too - mine is 7 without the mirror hat!
You can go with pure (80) Faith just fine! Both Erdtree and Dragon Communion Seal have very similar Incantation Scaling at their highest, but Dragon Communion can get more eventually, although it requires loads more into Arcane, past 60. What I like the most about Arcane is that it also opens a lot of versatility for our character, such as fighting in melee with Bleed too and a very powerful boost to Swarm of Flies!
@@cRPGBro Yeah - it’s just an angle I never really considered. I’ve mostly been buff, buff, and then take my Jellyfish into battle! Going to be fun to tweak a few things - I have a lot more Dex than you’ve used (which incidentally means I can get to 40 for the legendary poking spiral) so have a variety of elements at my disposal. You are correct, although there aren't that many of them. But that's the fun part about Faith, we still have lots of other powerful Incantations to use against them. If they're big bosses, Pest Thread used properly will melt them, for smaller ones you can still rely on your Lightning Spear, Honed Bolt or Black Flame, while aided by Spirit Ash summons.
it seems super logical to keep on with dragon communion seal and spells until find erdtree seal as we reach it around lvl 100. After getting erdtree seal we can respec and try pure faith build.
Well, the thing is Dragon Communion has pretty similar Incantation Scaling to Erdtree with good Faith/Arcane. Arcane/Faith also adds more versatility by increasing your melee power through Bleed + Seppuku. But of course, going pure Faith is certainly very powerful as well!

So, tecnically single right now?" Believes on Golden Order. And Hot Milf Goddess. Throws himself of a cliff after steamrolling the entire game, having no regrets.
This build sounds great but it seems like it'll only function properly on solo mode as it heavily relies on godrick's great rune .. So helping friends in coop is going to be quite a challenge as you won't be able to equip some of the gears
Hi there, you don't necessarily need the Great Rune, it's just there because the boost in power is simply too good. It's just a matter of replacing some of the stats, for example, getting 20 STR & 20 DEX which is enough for both Jellyfish Shield & Cross Naginata. These two are the ONLY stats that really matter when you lose the Rune buff, and getting 20 in both doesn't take much.
Jellyfish buff is 20% from all sources, but has 30s duration and must be recast. The Seal boost is somewhat lower and specific, but permanent. I'd say if you only care for specific damage and have 2 of the same seals, you can use it just fine.
My only changes are not using the shield, and swapping the spear for the halo scythe. Still get bleed damage, do more physical damage, and have a weapon art that will play off the faith stat as well
That sounds like an interesting weapon indeed! The reason I go with the Spear is that we can use it to "poke" behind the shield, so you retain full shield blocking potential and also get to attack at the same time.
@@cRPGBro I mean to each their own. This is just how I chose to change it a bit. I didn't want to have to switch to my seal to cast. Also miquella's ring of light is basically another spell that offers a little more versatility to my attack options.

Nice seeing you here, bro 😁 And yep, it is a follow up to my Beginner's Prophet Guide, but this time for Mid & Late Game Ultimate Power! Prophet is my favorite if you want to start out as a Faith Caster, but class choice doesn't really matter that much outside of the very beginning. I suppose if you went for example with Astrologer, you'd get some "wasted" points in INT, but nothing troublesome.
I explain it right here in my Rune Arc Farming Guide: ruclips.net/video/989xE_EfY4A/видео.html Ideally, the most efficient way is through Co-Op by helping others defeat bosses, especially the faster, easier to defeat bosses (usually not the story ones that have cutscenes and 2nd phases etc). You can also get it through PVP, but I imagine it is harder than just Co-Op. If you play Offline, then the only alternative is rat farming which is slower, but at the very least this build has high Arcane to help with item drop chances too!
Cara, com esse sotaque... vc é brasileiro? Ótimo vídeo! Eu uso uma build de SoNaF, híbrido int/fth, mas focado mais em incantations. Daí eu uso a espada, o Golden Order Seal e o Death's Prince Staff, pra uma mágica só: Ancient Death Rancor, pra matar coisa grande (Pest Threads parece muito bom também, né? Preciso testar; mas o ADR tem um tracking incrível, e um poise damage gigantesco; eu derrubo o dragão e dou-lhe kamehameha na cabeça rs). Golden Vow, Protection of the Erdtree, Erdtree's Boon e Flame, Grant me Strength são fundamentais (pena que PotE e FGmS não se adicionam mutuamente; só uma delas com Golden Vow). Pra longo alcance eu uso a que me parece ser a melhor mágica de todas: Frenzied Burst. Tem alcance e dano bem maiores do que a lightning spear, e ainda mata todos os invasores antes deles chegarem perto, por conta do stagger de madness. Pra AoE eu usaria o Flame of Frenzy também (ou o Undendurable Frenzy, que é ainda melhor) se não tivesse já o fogo da espada, então não preciso. Eu uso o Silver Tear Mask só pra ter arcane suficiente pra usar Swarm of Flies, que é maravilhoso: enquanto o inimigo fica lá tremendo com as moscas, acerto-lhe um kamehameha hehe. Rotten Breath também é fundamental, pra matar bichos com muito HP, tipo o Radahn, e ainda é também um AoE poderoso. E aí eu completo com o Giantsflame Take Thee, que dá MUITO mais dano que o Black Flame, apesar de ser menos estilosa e ter menos range. Uso o Blaidd's set com o silver tear mask e consigo carregar tudo sem precisar usar uma rune arc (mas Godrick's Rune ajuda, claro). De talismã, tenho usado Radagon's Soreseal (pra complementar o lado físico, apesar da redução de dano, que é compensada pelo aumento de hp), stargazer heirloom, pra complementar int, radagon's icon e faithful canvas. Status sem os buffs e talismãs são 35/30/16/12/12/55/60/9, no nível 150 começando como Confessor. Muito contente com o playstyle até o momento. P.S.: "gauge" se pronuncia "gueidje", como se não tivesse o "u". Igual "mage". É uma palavra chata pra dedéu haha.

@@jamesnewman4294 It's a great choice, but ideally you also REALLY want Seppuku if you want to go for the melee route, because of how much bleed it adds to your weapon, so you're bleeding even bosses in like 2-3 hits. If you just want to go for the increased Incantation damage from the Helmet + Talisman, then it's good!

Hi there, I think it would indeed be a good idea to make a guide for how to enchant with all the properties. Occult is unlocked through the Black Whetblade, which you can find in Nokron, Eternal City. To reach it, you must first defeat Radahn and go into the crater that appears west of Fort Haight, near the Mistwoods.
You can get by just fine with Rotten Breath, but if you have a spellcaster focused Faith character with high Incantation Scaling, then I'd go for Ekzyke's Decay because it deals a lot more damage outside of just inflicting Scarlet Rot (which it does slightly faster too).
I think you have more than enough Faith for buffing, you might consider going with Black Flame Blade Incantation if you'd rather use buffs for the weapon. If you are fine with upgrading the Naginata into Occult, then a Faith/Arcane split as shown would be best.

Indeed! Because through Dragon Communion Seal we have very high Incantation Scaling, then access to ALL Faith spells, and lasty also high melee capabilities through Occult scaling Bleed Weapons, like the Cross Naginata. Then you can also use a decent shield with the spear to poke behind it if you want to melee.
I've been using some of these incantations in my strength/faith build. But I'm using the beastclaw seal because it has an S scaling in strength. I mostly use damage buffing for my hammers but I've been mixing in some damaging incantations and honed lightning has become a boss nuker since its easily spammed. I only have 25 faith but I have 80 strength. Think I lucked out on the seal since it was the only one I has when I mixed into faith.

Thank you, and have fun with the build 😁 You can go with Pure Faith or Faith/Arcane. I have 16 INT because this character started out as an Astrologer, 9 INT is certainly enough, but I would also get 12 if you want to cast the Scholar's Shield spell for more shield blocking potential.
Frenzied Flame Seal can be a powerful alternative, especially as Flame of Frenzy is pretty much the best AoE Incantation. You also CAN eventually achieve very high Incantation Scaling with it, but the problem is it requires a lot of investment in multiple stats, due to it's split scaling. I'd say if you don't care about "overleveling", then it's probably one of if not the best choice.

I suggest you get around 45-50 Vigor to make it safer unless you don't care much for HP during PVP. 20 STR if you want the Jellyfish Shield buff, but you can also dual wield Seals for stronger specific effects, like Double Dragon Seal if using Dragon Communion spells. For the Faith/Arcane split, the minimum for sparing points should be 30/45. But you can always increase more Arcane too after that for higher Bleed if you want to go melee or use Swarm of Flies to the highest effect!
Yeah, the best thing about Bleed is that whenever you proc it (which is very easy with poking and we do it with just 2 hits) Malenia will STAGGER out of her attacks, including her special move Waterfowl Dance!
Black Flame damage is increased by Incantation Scaling and some buffs like Flame, Grant Me Strength, which increases Fire damage. I'm running a pure faith build only spells no weapons and I was curious if I should just use the erdtree mark for being able use everything or have different marks deductible to lightning spells etc
Erdtree Seal is your best bet if you only have Faith. I like Jellyfish Shield on the other hand for the extra boost to ALL damage, including spells. You can actually dual wield seals to benefit from the other Seal passive too. Like Erdtree Seal on main hand + Dragon Communion seal on the other hand means you get the best Faith scaling from Erdtree, and the bonus to Dragon spells from Communion Seal at the same time!
I dont like having to switch spells one at a time, they could have easily made it a one two tap button like holding L1 and it gives 4 spell choices to cast by tapping triangle, circle, x, and square or whatever else ppl use

If someone is in a starting content, we can't cheese them into big content, whoever is ahead will have to start from the lowest reached content, that way friends can play together without messing up progress, that would be sick, Elden Ring is the perfect game for co-op, it's the easiest Souls like game from fromsoftware and would be a great introduction to new players, I have couple of friends that wanted to get into it but after watching videos on how co-op works they decided not to buy it 😂 unfortunate
yeah like the radial menu in monster hunter. that would be a lot better. i tend to not run more than 4 incants because i dont want to cycle through that many every time. not to mention on playstation controller, it feels horrible to use dpad while moving with the left stick.
You need to properly stack buffs, both for general damage and also fire damage. I cover specific sources in this video at 06:36, 09:11, 14:29 & 17:30. You need to find the Black Whetstone item in Nokron, Eternal City, to upgrade your Naginata with Occult. You can enter Nokron after defeating the boss Radahn at Caelid, and then dropping down the Crater that will appear in the map in the Mistwood region, to the west of Fort Haight!

How is your black flame ball doing so much damage? I have my godslayer’s seal at +24 and my faith is at 99 and it does like half the damage that you do even though my seal boosts godslayer incantations and scales all the way to S tier with faith. I’m so confused. That’s with me using the fire scorpion charm and Flame Grant me Strength

I show two versions of the build: one has Erdtree Seal for 80 Faith, the other Dragon Communion Seal for the split with Arcane & Faith.
Both can use the same spells, and have similar Spell Scaling (Dragon can get more actually).
I just prefer Arcane + Faith because of the versatility it can give your character.
The dragon community seal is one of the strongest seal. With 99 faith/arc it has over 400 scaling. You never reach this with just faith seals. Even with 40 arc/faith it outscaling all faith seals with 70 faith.
If your mid game and dont have access to High tier heavy armor, The crucible Tree set or Scaled set are both pretty good and fairly easy to get.
Crucible tree is more involved but boosts Crucible incantations.

@@cRPGBro Crucible Tree chest + Crucible Axe helm is some serious drip. My personal favorite combination is Crucible Tree chest, Erdtree Sentinel Helm, Rahdan boots and gloves.
Radahn's set too, and you can mix it with a ton of other helmets to still have the sweet 51 poise spot. Banished Knight works just as well too.
I'm working towards a Crucible Knight style build focusing on the incantations and staying more on the melee side, but I love this build and I'll have to grab some of these beast incantations! I love being versatile and having a solution for a bunch of different problems so this is perfect!
I really like versatility as well, which is why I went the Faith/Arcane route. Elden Ring is a very long game, so sometimes you get bored of just casting or meleeing, it's nice to switch when you want!
Crucible Incantations can be fun too, Crucible Tail alone is very damaging and hits a big area. Just have to manage the high FP costs.
Godfrey Icon Talisman really helps for Crucible as they tend to allow charging.

I'm using the Clawmark seal right now for the STR/FAI scaling and since I'm also using some beast spells for now but I'll definitely give that one a try!

It's really a nice self reliant build for many situations, no matter the enemy type or if boss or during normal exploration.
I have a similar build and am currently lvl 133. Started as a Bandit, all bleed daggers and a bow, but then respecced a little to go more Arcane (60 now). But then after started bumping up Faith (currently 36). My Str & Dex are a little higher than what is done here, as I wanted to use a few cool weapons. I'm also using the Sorseal talisman to bump all my physical stats +5.
Such a fun character. Even before putting any points into Faith he was more powerful than any other build I had played. My main was pure Sorcery but I quickly got further with my Rogue character. But now with some great incantations he feels like a demi-god. Focusing mostly on Blood, Rot, and Madness incantations. :)
Yep, it's certainly one of my favorite playstyles too!
You can also go for Antspur Rapier and add Poison & Bleed to it, so your weapon procs Rot, Poison & Bleed all at once :)
Your build sound perfect for frenzied flame build that I try to build but unfortunately I waste too many larval tear,miss frenzied flame quest and upgrade the wrong seal.
For PvE I encourage players to go with the Arcane path due to a lot of bosses are resistant to Sacred damage... Arcane is so good with the Occult affinity and works as a pure stat for spellblade builds.
Arcane is indeed amazing for the huge versatility it can give you!
Most of the Faith spells shown here should deal Lightning, Fire or Physical damage, at least.
cold is strong in pve go a hybrid caster with strong cold attacks to your weapon is nice
Watched some of your videos and I have never seen such genius builds which can include some normal weapons too. I thought that the stats the game was showing was everything but you forced me think otherwise and made such fun and powerful builds with such creativity. A sub from me

One thing to note, dragon communion seal ADDS ARCANE SCALING TO SPELLS!!! Bleed spells and madness spells proc super easily and hit like a truck with the double scaling. Plus the variety you get from from weapons, to spells, to statuses with dragon incantations......easily my top pick for best seal even for pure faith builds considering requirements are pretty low for the better incantations.
That's exactly why I go for it as my preferred choice for the build 😁

@@samyer5559 I believe it is like that, which doesn't matter for the build because both Faith & Arcane will add to Incantation damage, and since we go for an Occult weapon, we can't buff it anyways with let's say Black Flame's Blade.
The only thing you'll "lose" out is higher healing, but you still get 45 Faith with this build eventually, so even buffing is still decent enough at the earlier stages when you don't have the Occult upgrade.
Why would you go for this split seal for a pure faith when you could use the erdtree seal? Erdtree has the highest scaling for seal in the game? (Asking because I’m honestly interested not being a dick)
@@fxlonyz1655 cause there is no real benefit in going full faith. You get much more with arcane/faith build. Scaling wise, the dragon communion seal scales better as it increases with 2 stats. And high arcane increases blood loss and let’s you use dragon incantation

Ezykes scarlot rot breath, the flies, and a proper bleed weapon were perfect for my Deathknight style build.

I'm new to Dark Souls games and like half way through the game on a Int dex mage build and I'm considering just starting a new game. These faith builds looks like so much fun.
You don't have to start a new. Game. You can find larval tears and respec your character to anything you want. I Respec'd 11 times on my first playthrough just so I could get a taste of everything. Faith/dex and faith arcane builds are a ton of fun. Probably my favorites.

Man I feel like faith is such an unintuitive build in this game. I've had to do so much research, exploration and testing myself to no avail; I now see that you can do 3-4000 damage with black flame as opposed to my meagre 7-900. I am happy that I finally respecced off of faith, but I've somehow completed most of the game using a bad version of it obviously.

@@mihaimusi1172 better off asking the OP or looking at his early game build I'd say but my experience:
For faith weapons I used dual wielded scythe, as they outdamaged any spell. Halo Scythe you can get from the Cleanrot knights who hold that weapon on a random drop, which has the weapon art which fires holy halos for cheap FP. Very early on you can get Angel Wing scythe in the weeping peninsula. Early on I think mana drain will be really boring spell wise, especially in the open world, so maybe find the sacrificial axe ASAP and the ancestral spirit's horn when Nokron opens up. Definitely search for as many golden seeds and sacred tears ASAP. Other weapons hmm maybe the tree sentinel halberd, or just putting a fire/sacred WA on anything.
Because I was using the blackflame / lightning myself I used the godslayer seal to cast, I think you need to max the seal to really scale. It's easier to upgrade somber weapons, so maybe use dragon communication seal or golden order seal as your casting seal, with the "bonus damage to" in the other hand. Faith itself I tried at 50 but the high faith spells aren't that good so I dropped it to 40 and took stats elsewhere to boost scythe damage. The specific golden seal for lightning type spells is the gravel stone seal, but that's available in the capital which is pretty late in the game.
Apparently some of the dragon spells are very good, such as Rotten Breath, but I wouldn't know because I didnt level arcane. All the best spells are in the video obviously.
The incantations talismans, are honestly just garbage. 4% and 8% bonus damage respectively, with the 8% one being easy to miss picking up. However, there's fire and holy damage talismans which add a notable 12%.
It's like I say - unintuitive build, nevermind having to find the prayer books for the spells, or the spells themselves, you almost need a walkthrough for the entire early-late game if you want to maximise faith casting.

I want the blasphemous blade as an upgrade for the scythe But for me the spells are primarily as i don t have a lot of experince with melee combat . After faith that i have at 50 . What do you sugest that should be the second stat ? DEX for casting spells or strenght ?
@@mihaimusi1172 blasphemous blade is great, it's weapon art has high damage and a lot of stagger, plus a relatively short cast time.
I think it's very important you keep pushing that seal to +24 asap, or find one of the somber versions like the dragon communication seal or golden order seal and get them to +9 asap.
If you are debating where to spend stats you can't go wrong if your vigor is at 60, endurance to maybe 25-30 for equip load/stamina, and mind 25-30 to make better use of flasks.
After that you might go dex if you are using spells to make them cast a bit faster but there's also radagon's icon that is worth 30 casting dex, really easy to get at the Raya Lucaria debate parlor grace, go outside and look over the right banister, go up the ladder.
Since I haven't tried DEX to increase cast speed I've not paid attention. The icon will let you test whether you think that it makes a big enough difference to level into dex versus mind or more faith. There's also some spells that use int or arcane, maybe worth dipping into and trying. And lastly, most sacred seals have some form of strength scaling, but if you can't squeeze the spell casts in can you justify the tiny extra damage?
I think in a game you get about 15 respecs, so can always try a tweak here and there. Also most damage comes from +ing your stuff, so you don't need to worry too much about stats doing damage as much as stats keeping you alive and attacking.

Faith Build can indeed be super versatile, with spells for all enemies, no matter if common or boss.
INT caster eventually is more of Comet Azur spam vs bosses only.
I wish you got extra poise while casting incantations. Maybe bonus damage (less than a fully charged cast) for dealing damage up close to really get that Paladin feel and a more varied play style than sorcerers.
Yep, getting Hyper Armor during some of the longer casting Incantations would be great!
I think some of the Dragon ones do have it though, like Dragonmaw.
I have no idea why they removed the poise casting from DS3. It was the only thing that made faith miracles really work in that game. Too many of these have no hyper armor and slow wind ups, making it so that you can rarely use them without getting staggered out of them before they cast.
Actually, if you release a spell into an enemy in an animation you'll do bonus damage, so you can try practicing when they attack you. Good luck!
One thing you can do is to use the Endure Ash of War, which gives you a lot of poise for 5s. It can be really useful to tank through small hits and get out the longer incantations

Honestly after playing some more and watching different videos…. Incantations really need some buffs and tweaks. Without getting too much into damage specifics and cast times, I think the best thing to do would be to add hyper/armor poise to more incantations to better differentiate incantations from sorceries.
Incantations have worse trajectories than sorceries and nowhere near the same tracking. So you’re incentivized to cast and charge from a distance without the extra benefits that sorceries get.
I’m not asking to face everything while I cast incantations, especially if I’m not wearing the heaviest of armors. But I think it would help add more variety of play styles, especially for pvp.
Tbh I’m a little biased towards the godslayer incantations. I think they look great and are interesting enough. But black flame blade could be buffed to 20 seconds or so and not be OP. Scouring flaming has TERRIBLE tracking once you release it and in my experience It’s so easy for an opponent to sidestep it. Noble presence is also way too slow for the size of the aoe.

For the early game I'm about to release a Pyromancer Faith Build that should have all the Miracles you need.
You don't have a long range answer in your build thats where Frenzied Burst is very important for areas like carian study hall or miquella haligtree. Either that or you need a bow otherwise you gonna have really hard time especially at the haligtree. Solid build anyway!
Frenzied Burst is a powerful spell too, I forgot to include it indeed.
But for long range, your Lightning Spear actually can hit enemies from decently far away, same as the Glintstone spells for Sorcerer.

30 Faith & 45 Arcane is actually the soft cap for the Dragon Communion Seal.
I went from 80 arcane to 80 faith and then put my arcane at 20 I don’t notice a difference really tbh in the arcane, rivers of blood still does the same dmg

Great video! I personally feel for range attacks Frenzied Burst is better than lightning spear but of course if your build is centred around lightning faith with the appropriate talismans (Lightning Scorpion) and Seal(Gravel Stone) then lightning spear is great.

I am glad I explored the game on my own and didn't need video like this at all. Discovered all this on my own and it 100x better than having it handed to me. With that said this is good for people who don't have the time.
My late-game experience is that u need arcane blood (dual twin-blade) & blasphemous faith set. Some minibosses, esp those w/ ads, are so fast that u got no chance at all w/ twin-blade but so easy w/ blasphemous (it's also easy to get). Vigor 40 is good enough for ads, cuz bosses & mini-bosses, 2-3 hits staggering, u die anyway. 40 Faiths & 40 Arcane is enough. If u like Twin-blade put more into Dex. Blood Arcane handles dragons & giants very nice & blasphemous gives u distance fire attack against aggressive bosses (Cuz they come to u they will get hit, while u have to dance twin-blade around them) & great for farmings ads.

I apologize for that, it's because From Software did not add ultra widescreen support in Elden Ring, the game automatically adds those black bars on my monitor.
And the only way to fix it is through mods which make you bannable online.
Scaled set is pretty good bcs it gives very good defenses while also giving a bonus to non physical damage negation

Remember Elden Beast does a lot of Holy damage, so it might be best to go with Golden Vow + Divine Fortification, and also the Opaline Bubbletear & Haligdrake Talisman +2!
one comment after watching this a few times. Your gear is essentially reliant on constantly having the buff from your great run active. That is a finite item and i get they last until death... but for a guide so in depth it really doesn''t point out the pitfalls of this. I nearly respec'd my character before realizing i'd have to have the run constantly active to even use the jelly shield
That's just a personal choice of mine as I often have a hefty stock of Rune Arcs.
But you don't necessarily have to go with Godrick's Great Rune, since outside of Faith, Arcane & Vigor, you have a lot of points to spare.
You can also end on lower Faith & Arcane for the lower softcaps, such as 35 & 50.
Try out the rock scale or whatever one buffs all lightning spells is crazy
Yeah, Rock Sling can be a pretty great spell too, especially for enemies that have their heads as their weakspot, since you can send shards flying upwards!
@@cRPGBro I actually meant the gravel stone seal idk how auto correct effed me so bad 😂 but that seal scales with s and gives a 15% boost to all dragon covenant spells not dragon communion. So all lightning spells or about 90% of them are dragon covenant which allows this seal to hit like a truck with 80 faith.

Great video, just one suggestion. I don't think it was necessary to include how to get things. The video is about the build, if we want to find things there are tons of other videos for locations of things.
I found it more worth my time to put points into mind than vigor since as a caster I rarely am close enough to be hit by anything, but there are areas where I've gone through about 10 bottles of FP before I get to a site of grace. I also found dex to be really important, I initially ignored it, but when I respec'd with over 30 dex, I found my spells did cast a lot faster which made the difference between easily beating enemies, and sweating it out with my glass cannon build.

I’m having too much fun with the faith scythe and erdtree talisman combo, maybe I need to adjust to get a little arcane too - mine is 7 without the mirror hat!
You can go with pure (80) Faith just fine!
Both Erdtree and Dragon Communion Seal have very similar Incantation Scaling at their highest, but Dragon Communion can get more eventually, although it requires loads more into Arcane, past 60.
What I like the most about Arcane is that it also opens a lot of versatility for our character, such as fighting in melee with Bleed too and a very powerful boost to Swarm of Flies!
@@cRPGBro Yeah - it’s just an angle I never really considered. I’ve mostly been buff, buff, and then take my Jellyfish into battle! Going to be fun to tweak a few things - I have a lot more Dex than you’ve used (which incidentally means I can get to 40 for the legendary poking spiral) so have a variety of elements at my disposal. Some bosses are completely immune to the dragon rot breath and swarm of flies
You are correct, although there aren't that many of them.
But that's the fun part about Faith, we still have lots of other powerful Incantations to use against them.
If they're big bosses, Pest Thread used properly will melt them, for smaller ones you can still rely on your Lightning Spear, Honed Bolt or Black Flame, while aided by Spirit Ash summons.
it seems super logical to keep on with dragon communion seal and spells until find erdtree seal as we reach it around lvl 100. After getting erdtree seal we can respec and try pure faith build.
Well, the thing is Dragon Communion has pretty similar Incantation Scaling to Erdtree with good Faith/Arcane.
Arcane/Faith also adds more versatility by increasing your melee power through Bleed + Seppuku.
But of course, going pure Faith is certainly very powerful as well!

This build sounds great but it seems like it'll only function properly on solo mode as it heavily relies on godrick's great rune .. So helping friends in coop is going to be quite a challenge as you won't be able to equip some of the gears
You can just level up a bit more so you don't need the rune...
Hi there, you don't necessarily need the Great Rune, it's just there because the boost in power is simply too good.
It's just a matter of replacing some of the stats, for example, getting 20 STR & 20 DEX which is enough for both Jellyfish Shield & Cross Naginata.
These two are the ONLY stats that really matter when you lose the Rune buff, and getting 20 in both doesn't take much.

Is using jelly fish shield better than having 2 of the same Seals in each hand for damage boost?
Jellyfish buff is 20% from all sources, but has 30s duration and must be recast.
The Seal boost is somewhat lower and specific, but permanent.
I'd say if you only care for specific damage and have 2 of the same seals, you can use it just fine.
My only changes are not using the shield, and swapping the spear for the halo scythe. Still get bleed damage, do more physical damage, and have a weapon art that will play off the faith stat as well
That sounds like an interesting weapon indeed!
The reason I go with the Spear is that we can use it to "poke" behind the shield, so you retain full shield blocking potential and also get to attack at the same time.

Prophet is my favorite if you want to start out as a Faith Caster, but class choice doesn't really matter that much outside of the very beginning.
I suppose if you went for example with Astrologer, you'd get some "wasted" points in INT, but nothing troublesome.
My question is where do you get all the rune arcs to sustain using that great seal for your stats? Or do you just not die much lol.

Ideally, the most efficient way is through Co-Op by helping others defeat bosses, especially the faster, easier to defeat bosses (usually not the story ones that have cutscenes and 2nd phases etc).
You can also get it through PVP, but I imagine it is harder than just Co-Op.
If you play Offline, then the only alternative is rat farming which is slower, but at the very least this build has high Arcane to help with item drop chances too!
Murder rats, rats drop rune arcs and they are all over the place, if you wanna farm them just find a Grace near a rat spawn

Cara, com esse sotaque... vc é brasileiro? Ótimo vídeo! Eu uso uma build de SoNaF, híbrido int/fth, mas focado mais em incantations. Daí eu uso a espada, o Golden Order Seal e o Death's Prince Staff, pra uma mágica só: Ancient Death Rancor, pra matar coisa grande (Pest Threads parece muito bom também, né? Preciso testar; mas o ADR tem um tracking incrível, e um poise damage gigantesco; eu derrubo o dragão e dou-lhe kamehameha na cabeça rs). Golden Vow, Protection of the Erdtree, Erdtree's Boon e Flame, Grant me Strength são fundamentais (pena que PotE e FGmS não se adicionam mutuamente; só uma delas com Golden Vow). Pra longo alcance eu uso a que me parece ser a melhor mágica de todas: Frenzied Burst. Tem alcance e dano bem maiores do que a lightning spear, e ainda mata todos os invasores antes deles chegarem perto, por conta do stagger de madness. Pra AoE eu usaria o Flame of Frenzy também (ou o Undendurable Frenzy, que é ainda melhor) se não tivesse já o fogo da espada, então não preciso. Eu uso o Silver Tear Mask só pra ter arcane suficiente pra usar Swarm of Flies, que é maravilhoso: enquanto o inimigo fica lá tremendo com as moscas, acerto-lhe um kamehameha hehe. Rotten Breath também é fundamental, pra matar bichos com muito HP, tipo o Radahn, e ainda é também um AoE poderoso. E aí eu completo com o Giantsflame Take Thee, que dá MUITO mais dano que o Black Flame, apesar de ser menos estilosa e ter menos range. Uso o Blaidd's set com o silver tear mask e consigo carregar tudo sem precisar usar uma rune arc (mas Godrick's Rune ajuda, claro). De talismã, tenho usado Radagon's Soreseal (pra complementar o lado físico, apesar da redução de dano, que é compensada pelo aumento de hp), stargazer heirloom, pra complementar int, radagon's icon e faithful canvas. Status sem os buffs e talismãs são 35/30/16/12/12/55/60/9, no nível 150 começando como Confessor. Muito contente com o playstyle até o momento.
P.S.: "gauge" se pronuncia "gueidje", como se não tivesse o "u". Igual "mage". É uma palavra chata pra dedéu haha.

@@jamesnewman4294 It's a great choice, but ideally you also REALLY want Seppuku if you want to go for the melee route, because of how much bleed it adds to your weapon, so you're bleeding even bosses in like 2-3 hits.
If you just want to go for the increased Incantation damage from the Helmet + Talisman, then it's good!
I'm a mix between faith and arcane. Using the blasphemous blade, dragon incarnations and swarm of flies, Honestly am loving the variety compared to a full blood build that I previously tried out

Occult affinity requires the Black Whetblade item, which you can find at Nokron, Eternal City.
To reach it, you must first defeat the boss Radhan at Caelid and then drop drown the crater that appears on the map east of Fort Haight, close to Mistwood.

The question is, is this useful on PVP? Cause if isn't then not much point. The best faith casting strat seems to be Catch flame into Magma Wyrm's incantation with fire damage boosting gear

Hi there, I think it would indeed be a good idea to make a guide for how to enchant with all the properties.
Occult is unlocked through the Black Whetblade, which you can find in Nokron, Eternal City.
To reach it, you must first defeat Radahn and go into the crater that appears west of Fort Haight, near the Mistwoods.
What's better for proc'ing rot? Rotten breath or it's upgraded version
You can get by just fine with Rotten Breath, but if you have a spellcaster focused Faith character with high Incantation Scaling, then I'd go for Ekzyke's Decay because it deals a lot more damage outside of just inflicting Scarlet Rot (which it does slightly faster too).
So I use a naginata but I also use incantations weapons buffs on it! Right now I’m sitting at 80 DEX and 50 FAI, what do you recommend I do?
I think you have more than enough Faith for buffing, you might consider going with Black Flame Blade Incantation if you'd rather use buffs for the weapon.
If you are fine with upgrading the Naginata into Occult, then a Faith/Arcane split as shown would be best.

Indeed!
Because through Dragon Communion Seal we have very high Incantation Scaling, then access to ALL Faith spells, and lasty also high melee capabilities through Occult scaling Bleed Weapons, like the Cross Naginata.
Then you can also use a decent shield with the spear to poke behind it if you want to melee.
I've been using some of these incantations in my strength/faith build. But I'm using the beastclaw seal because it has an S scaling in strength. I mostly use damage buffing for my hammers but I've been mixing in some damaging incantations and honed lightning has become a boss nuker since its easily spammed. I only have 25 faith but I have 80 strength. Think I lucked out on the seal since it was the only one I has when I mixed into faith.
Really good for pvp. Started winning once I got the rock sling inc.
Beastclaw Seal can be amazing indeed for characters that want to go all out on STR with some Faith some support!

You can go with Pure Faith or Faith/Arcane.
I have 16 INT because this character started out as an Astrologer, 9 INT is certainly enough, but I would also get 12 if you want to cast the Scholar's Shield spell for more shield blocking potential.
How come you don't talk about the Frenzied Flame Seal? I am curious how it stacks up.
Frenzied Flame Seal can be a powerful alternative, especially as Flame of Frenzy is pretty much the best AoE Incantation.
You also CAN eventually achieve very high Incantation Scaling with it, but the problem is it requires a lot of investment in multiple stats, due to it's split scaling.
I'd say if you don't care about "overleveling", then it's probably one of if not the best choice.

I suggest you get around 45-50 Vigor to make it safer unless you don't care much for HP during PVP.
20 STR if you want the Jellyfish Shield buff, but you can also dual wield Seals for stronger specific effects, like Double Dragon Seal if using Dragon Communion spells.
For the Faith/Arcane split, the minimum for sparing points should be 30/45.
But you can always increase more Arcane too after that for higher Bleed if you want to go melee or use Swarm of Flies to the highest effect!
how did your black flame do so much damage i have 80 arcane and 80 faith with the dragon sacred seal and it hits for 800
Yeah, the best thing about Bleed is that whenever you proc it (which is very easy with poking and we do it with just 2 hits) Malenia will STAGGER out of her attacks, including her special move Waterfowl Dance!
What made your black flame so powerful? I saw many attacking buffs on status icon . Is this incantation scaled with Faith?
Black Flame damage is increased by Incantation Scaling and some buffs like Flame, Grant Me Strength, which increases Fire damage.

I'm running a pure faith build only spells no weapons and I was curious if I should just use the erdtree mark for being able use everything or have different marks deductible to lightning spells etc
Erdtree Seal is your best bet if you only have Faith.
I like Jellyfish Shield on the other hand for the extra boost to ALL damage, including spells.
You can actually dual wield seals to benefit from the other Seal passive too.
Like Erdtree Seal on main hand + Dragon Communion seal on the other hand means you get the best Faith scaling from Erdtree, and the bonus to Dragon spells from Communion Seal at the same time!

I dont like having to switch spells one at a time, they could have easily made it a one two tap button like holding L1 and it gives 4 spell choices to cast by tapping triangle, circle, x, and square or whatever else ppl use

If someone is in a starting content, we can't cheese them into big content, whoever is ahead will have to start from the lowest reached content, that way friends can play together without messing up progress, that would be sick, Elden Ring is the perfect game for co-op, it's the easiest Souls like game from fromsoftware and would be a great introduction to new players, I have couple of friends that wanted to get into it but after watching videos on how co-op works they decided not to buy it 😂 unfortunate
yeah like the radial menu in monster hunter. that would be a lot better. i tend to not run more than 4 incants because i dont want to cycle through that many every time. not to mention on playstation controller, it feels horrible to use dpad while moving with the left stick.
@@Raptchur I play on pc and I use controller, same issue, fromsoftware tend to make things unnecessarily hard I guess 😂

How the hell are you doing 3k damage with your black fireball? I can't get it over 1500!
You need to properly stack buffs, both for general damage and also fire damage.

But do note for the Erdtree Avatar enemy, it also takes more damage from fire as that its weakness.

Where do you get the occult cross naginata from? I have a regular naginata in my inventory but not occult. Thanks!
You need to find the Black Whetstone item in Nokron, Eternal City, to upgrade your Naginata with Occult.
You can enter Nokron after defeating the boss Radahn at Caelid, and then dropping down the Crater that will appear in the map in the Mistwood region, to the west of Fort Haight!

I tried Lightning Spear after your video and it doesn't have "great range" :-/
Really ranged spells can reach the mob on the Divine Tower of Caelid from the Dragonbarrow cliff
You can always go for Frenzied Burst, I don't think you'll get more range than that with Incantations!

Prophet is my favorite choice.
