this is still an amazing guide 2 years later however i wanted to share two notes i learned over time. 1. I personally recommend the stone sword keys as your keepsake. you get two of them, meaning you can IMMEDIATELY open the fringefolk hero'es grave... why would you do this ohhh i dunno... dragon runes, dragon communion seal, a golden seed off the boss, banished knight oleg as a summon, a greatbow, the erdtree favor talisman and another stonesword key. yeah you get a lot. 2. also also, put just two points into arcane and you can use the basic dragon spells, and guess what talisman finally works with dragon breath attacks? that's right, the roar medallion 3. speaking of states, put one point into strength and you get access to most maces and especailly the morningstar, put wildstrikes on that with bloodflame blade and thank me later. 4. speaking of weapons, if you want to rely more on spells for damage (who can blame you catch flame is awesome, btw also cheap in the faith requirement and the fire damage scales off your faith so dont worry about low arcane), put ENDURE on your weapon, lets you trade with all of your spells

OMG THANK YOU ! I'm already lvl 50 but still didn't know how to deal real damages with my faith build There is everything needed in your video thanks a lot !
Glad I could help 😁 Also, at around level 50 you can get other powerful Faith Incantations too. Flame of Frenzy is super powerful for AoE, you can find it at the Callu Baptismal Church in the Weeping Peninsula region. Just a note, offer one Dragon Heart at the Cathedral of Dragon Communion in Caelid and you can learn the Rotten Breath Incantation which is super powerful against bosses, as it inflicts Scarlet Rot for a big damage over time effect!

Glad to hear, and you're welcome! I also have an updated version of this guide for Mid & Late Game with truly the best Prophet Spells & Gear here: ruclips.net/video/O3gQjpStCQ8/видео.html
@@cRPGBro very true I’ve been using it with the Lordsworn’s straight sword and at plus 2 getting a ar of almost 300 with no scaling yet considering how easy some other weapons can be to use I thought I’d mention it
I’d also like to add, if anyone wants to know just how good the catch flame incantation is: I’ve used it solely to kill every boss I’ve encountered all the way up to godrick. I’m talking ulcerated tree spirit, tree sentinel, crimson knight, blood hound knight, etc… it’s a very powerful spell and if you time it right, you can also just ride around on horse spamming it at enemies.
Thanks for the tip! Catch Flame is quite the handy starter spell indeed, it has great damage, low FP cost, stagger potential, and decent casting speed! Only downside is the melee range.
Thank you! I'm working on a complete mid & late game Guide for Faith Casters too like I did with my Sorcery Caster here: ruclips.net/video/dZ3YXQ_1hCo/видео.html
another tip for fighting that knight crouch walk behind him and use the poison gas spell. he wont attack and poison him then back stab. if you have a bleed weapon do that 2. and people trying to do this the cypher pata does not have any weight into it. so you can use bronze shield with baracade on it. and another sword to enhance it with holy use the regen spell 2
Thank you, and yeah the Lightning Spells really are amazing, aren't day? At the moment I only have guide for how to unlock Dragon Magic here: ruclips.net/video/PrEt7-tR0FA/видео.html But as I defeat more Dragons, I'll also release another Guide with an overview of ALL the Dragon Spells later on!
what i reccomend instead of going to liurnia is getting the aghell lake north just west of the door ruins (i think its called) and after that if you get all the other graces when getting to the grace before margit you should be able to get to the roundtable
Glad to hear it, and thank you for the support! I tried to explain everything as best as I could with beginners in mind, as I know it can be a tough experience, especially after you are dropped in the massive Open World!
Thank you! I have also just released a truly complete version of Prophet/Faith Casters Guide for Mid & Late Game: ruclips.net/video/O3gQjpStCQ8/видео.html
Early dragon spells are amazing specifically the scarlet breath it’s Been a great source of damage cast and use a whole blue bar on boss then wack it’s health down it does a good bit of damage and the rot of course
Yeah, Rotten Breath alone can be an amazing boss killer, especially for how early you can get it! I actually have just released a Dragon Priest Build guide here where I cover the best Dragon Incantations: ruclips.net/video/czxQnHp44TE/видео.html
Thanks so much this video was very helpful. Normally I hate using guides on first playthroughs but I just can't do it with Elden Ring. I am completely lost haha
Glad I could help! Elden Ring is really an immense game so having some tips early can make a big difference. As the Open World nature of it means you can go for hours without relevant gear upgrades.
you should have added a third memory stone, using a shortcut to Liurnia, you can just ride there and pick it up. It's on the left arm of Liurnia in a big tower. It's a fun journey, no bosses along the way
@cRPG Bro I know dex/int has always been meta in the souks games but I love str/fth so much more! I was shocked to see how the greatsword moved from D in str and E in dex to D in str and A in fth. Makes me so happy
I have both Astrologer & Prophet runs at the moment, and yeah the Prophet spells are certainly very fun and flashy, especially the Lightning ones! I also really like that you can actually charge almost if not all of the Prophet spells, the same isn't true for many Astrologer spells, including the starter spells. This results in way more damage for same FP cast which can help a lot when it comes to one shotting many normal enemies. I also have a Guide done in the same style for Astrologer here, though: ruclips.net/video/gxB4VGKw1jg/видео.html
@@cRPGBro Checking out the video now. Been playing Prophet since this morning and getting my ass handed to me. Not sure why. Got the Flame Sling and i feel like my animations take just long enough to fail miserably. Only time I can really kill anything at all is when mounted! Trying to stick with it- but at lvl 12 its been rough running back to my resources as to not lose them. At least for Astrology I was able to fight from a distance pretty well. Sucks- really love the lightning spell. Looks amazing!
@@andrewmarceau422 Catch Flame is better damage and instant cast. You have to be melee range but its so good. Bait attacks, dodge and hit a couple Catch Flames then repeat.
@@CAiNiAC Very nice. Was looking for some ranged since I cant seem to parry block or do anything well- but die. Went back to Astrologer and have been rocking it!
Yeah, it's such an amazing and massive game! It's why I decided to focus on early game for this, to really help others become powerful enough to take on the Open World areas.
Absolutely love this. I'm playing my first faith build ever and I haven't completed a souls game before. I just hit level 47 I believe. I'm still mainly using the fire sling incantation and the beginning lightning spell as my 2 main spells. Can't wait to get more to have a better variety.
I highly recommend getting the tome from stormviel castle that unlocks the “black fire spells” and replacing fire sling with black flame. Basically the same spell but stronger
Oh one thing... In south zone, when you start, you see Morne castle... Well, if you go to left zone in one ruins, you can pick a scyte wing, one faith weapon. 16 strengh 16 dex and 24 faith
I'd say one spell to definitely get if you're going faith build is the rot breath dragon incantation and the upgraded version. It can apply scarlet rot which does a stupid amount of damage over time I'm talking like 3k-4k with one proc/use of rot breath
Thank you for the tip! I just tested it and it can be a fun Invocation indeed, but have to be careful with the small delay as opposed to Honed Bolt, I think.
Amazing guide, helped allot. The one thing still eluding me is how to get gear that doesnt make me overweight or should i spend some levels on endurance aswell?
Thank you for the support! I also now have a complete Mid & Late Game Guide for Faith Casters as well: ruclips.net/video/O3gQjpStCQ8/видео.html For Armor, at first I would stay at Medium Load, by mixing some pieces of heavy armor sets like Banished Knight & Kaiden early game: ruclips.net/video/lXxwabhmFOc/видео.html Also please check my TANKING Guide where I show all the ways of achieving damage negation besides armor, and as a Faith Caster, we have many: ruclips.net/video/iLCIFe9h6zc/видео.html You can also use a special Wondrous Flask effect later on to get Fast Rolls even with heavy armor: ruclips.net/video/aHhzPa62qEU/видео.html
You don't need to kill the invader to get that faith based weapon just jump down and run to the right and grab it. The invader will still come kill you byt he takes forever and you get the thing.
You are correct, the reason I said to go without any Runes is that he can be pretty tough, and if we die we don't lose anything than after getting our Faith Weapon!
@@francois-xaviernadeau108 just run away from invader and go grab the item then let him kill you. U lose runes but gain the thing. Tge item sucks anyway it does low damage and has short range
you failed to mention only certain spells can be charged or chain casted, which is a pretty big part of it. Most spells that can do one or the other say in the description
I'm really liking faith builds. I have a "paladin" in my confessor. Now I want I want a prophet. So before I make one, you recommend HP to 15, then pump faith to 25? This helps alot. Some other guys show their end game character with perfect stats and best in slot gear. But their videos didn't help me. Thanks for the video! This helps.
Faith certainly makes for a fun run, especially if you already know where to find some of the early gear/spells which is what I focus on this guide. I do indeed recommend you get Vigor to 15 for a nice HP boost, and then Faith to around 25-30 for a nice boost to damage with your Incantations. I prefer to do it from the beginning because frankly at the end game you are already have everything you need, but the issue is getting there in the first place. Thank you for the support!
@@cRPGBro I got set up because of this video. I'm level 27 and I'm nuking enemies and wrecking bosses. When I do co-op, I'm doing lots of damage and living more. This guide helped me! I did the 15 vigor, and I have 25 faith (+5 with talisman). Thanks once again!
@@adrid.senpai7587 That's amazing to hear! Really glad the guide was so useful to you, especially for the beginning parts so you can now take anything on the Open World!
Sure thing! You can swipe the Faith scaling fist for another Faith weapon just fine. As for Confessor, because we can easily learn the spells through any class, feel free to go for it!
Thank you! I would keep increasing Faith if your intent is to be mostly a spellcaster Prophet, which can be done. But Vigor is also needed every now and then to be able to take enemy hits and still survive.
So my experience getting the incantation talisman was that running straight through would get me killed 9/10 times... i had ot end up killing a couple of the centipede guys with lightning spear... so i guess it COULD be done at the start but damned if i know how to do it. Everytime i go for the ladder on the side of the building the centipede below would just one shot me. So i have zero idea how you managed to get up that ladder without getting wrecked--- but kudos to those who did it at the start.
@@islembou9 no... i did this at like level 29 w/ 15 vigor, 16ish (?) mind, and 30 faith using lightning spear. i also didn't run straight through, i killed everything i needed to.
Good video, when people that do walkthroughs instead of showing the paths they take they cut out the part of exactly how to get there especially when you teleported to the dragon burnt ruins to go into the mine, you didn't show the part to get the talisman you automatically cut to the talisman. Edit; (He has a separate video how to navigate the mine).
Hi there, the reason I didn't show the entire path to the Talisman is because I already had a full video for it, which should have appeared at the top right corner at around 09:03, I mention it at that time. Apologies if it didn't show properly, here is the link: ruclips.net/video/4kDF5Omto4U/видео.html
Hi there and thank you! You can certainly start as a Confessior. The starting class stats don't matter THAT much, and both Prophet and Confessor are very similar to one another anyways. I also have an updated version of this Faith Guide for mid & late game here: ruclips.net/video/O3gQjpStCQ8/видео.html And a Dragon Priest Build: ruclips.net/video/czxQnHp44TE/видео.html
You're right, back then I didn't know about it, but it is indeed a wonderful spell with little requirements that can easily overpower many bosses from the Scarlet Rot damage over time effect!
Hi there, I explain it at 03:13 You can go down the broken bridge to the right of the castle, and by following that path it should lead you to the first Grace of the second area, Liurnia of the Lakes. The same Grace that your each after defeating the last boss of Stormveil Castle.
there's a easy aoe encantation to get going south from the starting zone, just go trought the bridge, keep running until you get the map for the zone(take care to avoid the giant arrows, then go back to the rest point after the bridge and go left trought a forest, walk trought a small wooden bridge and there's a jumping thing for your horse on a crater with a bunch of flowers, just jump on it and you will land on the top of a mountain with a village and a church with a bunch of crazy rats, just ignore them and pick up the item on a corpse near them(it's an aoe spell that deals decent single target early on, just avoid spamming it more than 3 times in a row, wait a bit before casting again or you go crazy and takes a stun and dmg), and there's also a sacred tear on that church, for a extra charge if you want to find it easier(cuz i suck at explaining) just go to a interactive map and look for "callu baptismal churc" on the green area, it's easy to spot, and south of a village directly above it
Hi there, he can always be found patroling the road right next to the Artist's Shack Grace in the northern part of Liurnia of the Lakes region. If you teleport to that grace, you'll always find him there down the road, right as you spawn.
Thank you, and sure thing! I'll post an update tomorrow for my INT Caster Guide with Mid & Late game focus, and the Faith Caster one is coming next as I finish my Mage run!
Thank you for the support! The Skeleton Militiamen are gained from the first Tibia Marine boss, at the Summonwater Village Outskirts Grace, to the NE of the starter area.
Hi there, and thank you! To cast while on horseback, either equip your Sacred Seal on your right hand, of if it is equipped on left hand, press Y/Triangle then R1/RT.
Early dragon spells scarlot rot is OP you can proc scarlet rot on bosses run around and they die. I havent even went into the first castle yet but i wss able to defeat the magma dragon with it on a low lvl😊
Hi there, I'm wearing: Godrick Soldier Helm Kaiden Armor Godrick Gauntlets Godrick Soldier Greaves These aren't exactly special stats wise, but they can all be achieved as random loot from the many Knight enemies you face in the start area of the game.
For the beginning, you can go with Banished Knight or Kaiden Set. Both are farmable from starter area enemies: ruclips.net/video/lXxwabhmFOc/видео.html For mid & late game, Radahn or Veteran (Commander Niall) are pretty good sets for nice Damage Negation. Great Jar Talisman can help a lot with Equip Load issues to retain medium rolls.
Glad I could help. I've been having lots of fun with my Faith caster in Elden Ring, the lightning spells alone you get early are amazing looks and gameplay wise too 😁

@@cRPGBro one more thing to make it even easier is to get the Rotten Stray Ashes minion then let the minion hit till the rot stack and just kite around and see golden knight boy hp disappear

There is everything needed in your video thanks a lot !
Glad I could help 😁
Also, at around level 50 you can get other powerful Faith Incantations too.

Great guide. Thanks for putting it together like this.
No problem, and thank you for the support!
One thing I found to note is the sacred blade ash of war found near caelid giving you faith scaling on a desired weapon and a holy damage buff
Thank you for the tip!
That can surely help Faith casters who want a weapon outside if the Cipher Pata early on.
@@cRPGBro very true I’ve been using it with the Lordsworn’s straight sword and at plus 2 getting a ar of almost 300 with no scaling yet considering how easy some other weapons can be to use I thought I’d mention it
In the ailing village in the weeping peninsula there’s a really good spell there as well. Might want to check that one out
Thanks for the note!
It can really help with some big enemies thanks to the huge area and the madness effect is neat too.
This is the best elden ring video I've seen so far. Could you make a similar one for mid game too?
Thank you!
I'm working on a complete mid & late game Guide for Faith Casters too like I did with my Sorcery Caster here:

another tip for fighting that knight crouch walk behind him and use the poison gas spell. he wont attack and poison him then back stab. if you have a bleed weapon do that 2. and people trying to do this the cypher pata does not have any weight into it. so you can use bronze shield with baracade on it. and another sword to enhance it with holy use the regen spell 2
Thank you for the note! I'll be sure to invest in the Poison Spell too.
The Knight can be pretty tough with all his fast attacks.
@@cRPGBro where can you get the poison spell from?

This is a very respectable early-game faith guide.

Amazing guide honestly seems like other prophet guides end up being more like a confessor guide.

I did it with a pure caster in mind, with some weapons as back up (like the Cipher Pata), but mostly to go all out on Incantations.
My Prophet is SET now👏👏great guide

Early dragon spells are amazing specifically the scarlet breath it’s Been a great source of damage cast and use a whole blue bar on boss then wack it’s health down it does a good bit of damage and the rot of course
Yeah, Rotten Breath alone can be an amazing boss killer, especially for how early you can get it!

This video just made me decide to reroll my Astrologer! These spells look amazing!
I also have a Guide done in the same style for Astrologer here, though:

@@cRPGBro Checking out the video now. Been playing Prophet since this morning and getting my ass handed to me. Not sure why. @@cRPGBro it's all good.. I'm still trying to figure out how to get to a few

Thank you for the tip!
That can make for a great early Faith weapon too.
Very helpful video
Glad the guide was useful to you, and thanks for the comment!
I'd say one spell to definitely get if you're going faith build is the rot breath dragon incantation and the upgraded version. It can apply scarlet rot which does a stupid amount of damage over time I'm talking like 3k-4k with one proc/use of rot breath
Where is it ?
At the dragon cathedral it's in the bottom right of the map to the east in caelid
Thank you for the tip!
I'll be sure to keep this one in mind, as I hadn't found the Dragon Rot spell back when I first made the guide.
Personally, Lightning Strike is my fav early aoe, a lot easier (and fun) to get. It's in weeping peninsula, behind the tunnel (not through)
Thank you for the tip!
I just tested it and it can be a fun Invocation indeed, but have to be careful with the small delay as opposed to Honed Bolt, I think.
awesome vid! any chance at making the ideal build vid for a hybrid between int/fai ? if so much appreciated :D
Thank you!
I'm actually thinking of making a INT/FTH caster for the Thorn Sorceries and other spells, so please stay tuned :)
Honed bolt is really good in water. Example 17:35. It has a bigger aoe.
You are correct, it will have an extra spread when cast over water, thankfully the extra aoe doesn't hurt you!

for a better set I used Champion Armor set. Sold by Nomadic Merchant at Caelid South. It has a decent protection and light weight to be able to agile.
Thanks for the tip!
It's a nice and easy set to get early indeed.
He kill me how can I go back and get it :(
@@francois-xaviernadeau108 just run away from invader and go grab the item then let him kill you. U lose runes but gain the thing. Tge item sucks anyway it does low damage and has short range

@@cRPGBro ofcourse, first enjoy the game
you failed to mention only certain spells can be charged or chain casted, which is a pretty big part of it.

As for Confessor, because we can easily learn the spells through any class, feel free to go for it!
this video is very useful, you deserve my sub and like !! which stats need to be increased? faith and strength?

I would keep increasing Faith if your intent is to be mostly a spellcaster Prophet, which can be done.
But Vigor is also needed every now and then to be able to take enemy hits and still survive.
Thanks man

So my experience getting the incantation talisman was that running straight through would get me killed 9/10 times... i had ot end up killing a couple of the centipede guys with lightning spear... so i guess it COULD be done at the start but damned if i know how to do it. Everytime i go for the ladder on the side of the building the centipede below would just one shot me. So i have zero idea how you managed to get up that ladder without getting wrecked--- but kudos to those who did it at the start.
You need 60 vigor + 40 mind + 60 fate
@@islembou9 no... i did this at like level 29 w/ 15 vigor, 16ish (?) mind, and 30 faith using lightning spear. i also didn't run straight through, i killed everything i needed to.
Good video, when people that do walkthroughs instead of showing the paths they take they cut out the part of exactly how to get there especially when you teleported to the dragon burnt ruins to go into the mine, you didn't show the part to get the talisman you automatically cut to the talisman. Edit; (He has a separate video how to navigate the mine).

There's so much content in Elden Ring that it's really easy to miss out on some stuff, the map alone is huge.
I've completed the game and didn't even realise you could jump off that balcony at 5:00 ffs lmao
Yeah, there's loads of neat "secrets" like this in Elden Ring, it's one of my favorite things about it 😁
The rotten breath dragon spell is pretty good and doesn't require much faith
You're right, back then I didn't know about it, but it is indeed a wonderful spell with little requirements that can easily overpower many bosses from the Scarlet Rot damage over time effect!
how did you manage to go in the second zone without going into the castle? Nice Video btw!
Hi there, I explain it at 03:13
You can go down the broken bridge to the right of the castle, and by following that path it should lead you to the first Grace of the second area, Liurnia of the Lakes.
The same Grace that your each after defeating the last boss of Stormveil Castle.
Faith arcane is the real game changer. people sleeping on this build still.

Amazing ❤️❤️
Great job ❤️❤️
So good ❤️❤️
Nice video ❤️❤️
Thank you, really glad the guide was useful to you 😁
there's a easy aoe encantation to get going south from the starting zone, just go trought the bridge, keep running until you get the map for the zone(take care to avoid the giant arrows, then go back to the rest point after the bridge and go left trought a forest, walk trought a small wooden bridge and there's a jumping thing for your horse on a crater with a bunch of flowers, just jump on it and you will land on the top of a mountain with a village and a church with a bunch of crazy rats, just ignore them and pick up the item on a corpse near them(it's an aoe spell that deals decent single target early on, just avoid spamming it more than 3 times in a row, wait a bit before casting again or you go crazy and takes a stun and dmg), and there's also a sacred tear on that church, for a extra charge
if you want to find it easier(cuz i suck at explaining) just go to a interactive map and look for "callu baptismal churc" on the green area, it's easy to spot, and south of a village directly above it
Thank you for the tip!
I actually missed the Callum Baptism Church, good to know about it now, the aoe flame spell can be pretty powerful indeed.
I wished you showed exactly where you where to fight that guy at 6:02....
Hi there, he can always be found patroling the road right next to the Artist's Shack Grace in the northern part of Liurnia of the Lakes region.
If you teleport to that grace, you'll always find him there down the road, right as you spawn.
Amazing thx ! Can you make a late game build with this !

The Skeleton Militiamen are gained from the first Tibia Marine boss, at the Summonwater Village Outskirts Grace, to the NE of the starter area.
Great guide, but why can't I throw fire spell while on my horse, I have to get off to do so,
Hi there, and thank you!
Hey man. Can you please let me know what are you wearing in the video. Cheers!
Hi there, I'm wearing:
Godrick Soldier Helm
Kaiden Armor
Godrick Gauntlets
Godrick Soldier Greaves
These aren't exactly special stats wise, but they can all be achieved as random loot from the many Knight enemies you face in the start area of the game.
bro spam catch flame when u dodge a attack catch flame is OP!!!
first 20 levels place in mind faith and vigor then strength and dex
It is really powerful indeed! Fast catch, great damage and even some stagger too.
I feel like im cheating using the incan.
Do you need an certain item to use the fire and lightning bolts while on a horse riding?
Nope, you can cast them through your Sacred Seal such as the Finger Seal the Prophet class starts out with just fine.
You have to make sure your seal is in your right hand not the left.
@@xpgaines mine is stuck on left hand how do I switch?
What armor set do you suggest for a strength/faith build ??
For the beginning, you can go with Banished Knight or Kaiden Set. Both are farmable from starter area enemies:
