Hey @thanovic can you make a video on creative shots.. wayton did one which was great but i want more youtubers to touch on the subject.. it really has opened my eyes to ways of approaching the ball
thanovic, I want to thank you. When first starting this game 7 months ago, I placed silver 3. I watched a ton of your videos to help me, and still watch them to this day, and I’m now champ 2 and gc in tournaments, so thank you
@@sessna I just got champ 1 and I started in 2018 lmaooo💀💀 But in all seriousness, it depends on what you’re already good at. Are you pretty good with your mechanics? Try learning game sense(positioning, rotations, etc.). Already good with game sense? Work on your mechanics(aerials, wave-dashes, car control, etc.)
I see what OSM means, really good advice.. Get comfortable being uncomfortable, adapt & overcome.. Calm your mind, stay focused.. Amazing advice from OSM.. Thanks Thanovic, keep up the great work..
@@ichthyostegaxd3727 not really , there’s a reason he’s top 15 in 1s Atm , he knows what he’s doing , you need to adapt to not allow your opponent get a chance Etc flicks or allow them on the wall without pressure I’m gc2 because of it 🤷🏼♂️
I love watching videos like these, I used to play rocket leauge a lot when it first came out but I quit until this year and I was gold for a while but thanks to RUclips like you and others I’ve been able to improve my gameplay drastically and now I’m working my way out of plat and into diamond! I’m so proud of myself for getting this far.
I started the game 2 months ago, currently in diamond 1 thanks to your videos and constantly training and fixing things. Still a long way to go at mechanics for sure but thanks, keep up the good work!
Great video man! you're not afraid to show your weaknesses and genuinely want to improve at the game in every aspect. your vids always make me want to keep improving
I never even thought about playstyles really. The video is really mind opening. Besides how you mention I notice when people challenge often but that’s about it for me.
That's the exact playstyle I go for. When I feel really confident and I'm hitting everything I go for, it'll be months before my opponent grabs a big pad and touches the ball lol. I just speed around. But I can't do that playstyle anymore cause I took like a 3 season 1s break.
I’m champ 1 in 1s and my best friend is gc2 and watching this was like me vsing him. It’s like it doesn’t matter what you do how much you peek you just get gutter stomped. It’s a terrible feeling lol
Hey Thanovic! I’m reaching out to some of my favorite RUclipsrs and pitching a video idea/ series or how ever you want to do it, just make it your own. It’s called 1v1 a pro. The idea is to get each rank to 1v1 a pro then to recap on the things that person/rank should work on. I hope you like the idea! I know myself and others would love to see something like this. Much love.✌🏼
@@jakobhilgen337 You're just gonna get burned out mate. Try spooklookes warmup routine. The amount of time can be less than he says but doing each of things things will be enough.
Id say below diamond, positioning and reading is not very viable. Its mostly just getting better ball control and then learning how to do the other stuff.
Being coached by OSM was a terrible idea. The guy relies on his mechanics and speed so much he barely even thinks about the game. I mean who challenges the opponent in their corner with a full commit? You have very little to gain from a coaching session with OSM other than "improve your mechanics" or very general game sense any champ would have
@@Thanovic It doesn't matter if he was rank 1 once if his playstyle doesn't fit you. He has consistent freestyler mechanics and disgustingly disrespective speed you don't have. It would have been way better to get coached by Joreuz/AppJack/oKhalid or even Flakes as they don't just randomly commit and hope for the best. I'm saying that if OSM got proper coaching himself he'd be one of the big top dogs to this day and would have undoubtedly the best 1s player overall 2 years ago if he had played smarter back then.
@@ichthyostegaxd3727 he’s teaching different play styles, you say this as if players like Joreuz don’t go for double resets and rely on crazy speed and mechanics as well
@@Thanovic The difference between Joreuz and OSM is that Joreuz knows when to do those double flip resets better than OSM. He also fake challenges way more. Not every playstyle is good for every rank. Sure if you try to use this very committing, disrespectful and up in your face playstyle against lower ranked players you will completely outspeed them as they don't know how to properly defend and are just way too slow. But if you use this in GC where you don't know if your opponent might even be faster and mechanically more impressive than you yourself you'll get absolutely demolished by most of them with even half a brain. OSM has a unique playstyle that should not be taught to anyone but top 100 players like him with his qualities if they wanna have some fun in 1v1 not hardsweating but still winning some games along the way.

Hi
O
id love to see a part 2 to this where you take his advice and apply it to your 1s games with him coaching you!

I love how honest osm was with his advice and not holding anything back.
Yeah it’s so much better that way
Yeah. Like why lie to someone just to make them feel better and they end up not learning anything and be surprised about it ...
Well yes, Thano is somebody who can take that.
So many casuals would actually try to iust argue or shit talk him, despite being Fuckin OSM.
