Sadly, the world is RIFE with people who talk and yet actually *DO* absolutely nothing. It is expected, and it is what it is. The cartels have control, and OPD knows it. They just can't reveal it publicly. Otherwise, what's left of their image would be shattered and obliterated.
According to the reparation task force, underserved comminutes are overpoliced and that's why reparations should be awarded.
They let these sideshow happen all of the time. But if you go over 10 mph on the freeway they won't hesitate to pull you over and give you a ticket.

More law enforcement won't help much when DA and courts in SF , CA in general do absolutely nothing. This is what happens when there's no consequences. I live in Reno and we have those effing side shows all summer. They need stronger laws to be able to crack down. The police stop it one place and they just move and begin again. It's just hideous. They need to be able to arrest those jerks and put them to work in the parks, at the Food Bank, cleaning the streets, and any place else that needs some day labor. I'm really sick of them and they are NOT just young guys.

There are many uploads of San Francisco streets in the 1940s and 1950s. The city was clean. No graffiti, no homeless bums and their tent encampments. It seems 1967 was the beginning of the slippery slope to the chaos we have now.

what's going on in Oakland is the same as the Roadrunner and Coyote. Both the police (collecting large overtime pay) and criminals (causing destruction, stealing to hearts content) intend to go at it as long as possible while the tax payer foots the bill.
The police are obviously not doing much or cannot do much anyway. They may as well stay home and let them wipe each other out. At some point problem solves itself.

Where do these people get their money to destroy their cars? If I destroyed my car as a teen or in my 20's, that would be it. It would be taking the bus from then on.
