      The GSXS 1k is 12 grand and has like 20 more hp than the Z900. The 750 with about 112hp at the crank is actually a better match to the Z900 which has around 125hp at the crank.

      Stamp Rides actually Suzuki is 200 cc less.. kawa is 950 cc...not 900..the motorcycle magazine riders is trying to be cool, hahaha much fun bigger engine, no traction control, novice needs bla bla. Such a smooth tc is and Bridgestone battlax tires on Suzuki super sticky on road...90 percent of riders needs Suzuki, if you are summer rider/poser buy kawasaki...you don't need to go fast, cruising bike, mt07 style wheelies because of bad chassis and bike dynamics.

    • @PNW_Sportbike_Life
      @PNW_Sportbike_Life 6 лет назад +7

      exactly. The Z900 is actually a 949cc engine if I'm not mistaken. Between the two, I really preferred my GSXS1000 over the z900.

  • @Sunrazor

    The Suzuki for me also. Better handling, better brakes and the engine is enough for me to be happy. No it doesn't have LED all over and a TFT dash but I have never ever broken a bulb anywhere but in the headlight of a bike and that is so easy to change. The dash on it is better than one thinks. Very easy to read. The Kawasaki has 3 years less warranty here. The Aprilia is Italian. Do I need to say more?

    • @nerd6429

      I like the gsxs the most out of these. I wàs just looking for a naked bike and at the dealership I had it narrowed down to two bikes and the gsxs 750 was one of my two finalists. I ended up going with the Ducati monster though lol. But out of these three I like the Suzuki

  • @GamingCornerYT

    I have z900 green with performance pack.. great bike super smooth... I tried the gsxs1000 & 750 and it felt I was sat on top of the bike , I prefer the z900 where you are almost sat into the tank with higher bars, rider modes are not necessary for me the bike copes fine at low speeds in any gear :) seems great so far!

    • @mrvwbug4423
      @mrvwbug4423 6 лет назад +2

      I test rode the Z900, I felt that it was so smooth and controllable despite its huge power output that riding modes and TC weren't needed. The same can't be said for the FZ-09 which literally explodes with torque right off the line and was virtually unridable before the 2017 changes. Its also kinda strange, my current bike is a Versys 650 and I find that you sit on top of that bike, the Z900 felt very low compared to the V. The Z actually reminded me a lot of the Suzuki Bandit I used to have in terms of ergos.

    • @GamingCornerYT
      @GamingCornerYT 6 лет назад +2

      Comes with.... Exhaust , bubble screen, seat Cowell and got a free tail tidy, (get to keep original exhaust and seat) tbh it just tidys the bike up.. works out cheaper as the bundle I think £600 more for everything... as I'd never pay £190 for a seat Cowell etc haha!

    • @GamingCornerYT
      @GamingCornerYT 6 лет назад +2

      it's my 1st naked bike having had a zx6r etc.. the bike is quick but smooth so it doesn't always give that huge rush! part of me would love to be selfish and get a zx10r but naked bikes seem the way forward for all roundness.. plus I use it for work and days out wrh family/ friends haha. There doesn't seem much coverage on the z900 on RUclips yet, I had my mind set on a gsx s1000 but felt physically too small same with the gsxr1000 think kawasaki are built just that bit bigger for taller riders

    My Brother has the GSX-S750...and he added the Corbin seat, for even more comfort and just a bit thicker padding.
    He LOVES the bike, and even though the 'power' comes in at different RPM ranges, he does a Great job of keeping up with my FZ1, and of course, leaves me on top end at about 200mph vs my 170mph. [Both bikes have Power Commander V's and full exhaust, and 'super flashes'...]

      Absolutely. Test rode one back in the summer and what a hoot. Great performance with a super silky smooth throttle response [unlike the Yam MT 09]. The only bike in this category that would give the Z900 a real run for it's money is Triumph's superb 765 Sreet Triple R. The RS is considerably more expensive so is not really in this class.

    bought a Z900 in July. Love the bike no extra crap and power band nice and linear. great rider feedback! handles very well . I am 6'1" tall and 188lbs( naked not riding gear) and have no problems with the bike as it sits! Had to store it a bit over a week ago as Iowa weather is now crap for year for riding. Since end of July and then I had just 18 miles shy of 2000 miles on it already.

    After a near-fatal crash with a careless Cager years ago, I am not as flexible as I wish I was... with a fractured back and artificial hip and knee, I can no longer ride a super-sport...so the Nekked Bikes are my best option. And the truth is that I don't ever plan to be 'racing' anyone, and I Love the versatility and better comfort for a long day of riding... I still do an occasional Track Day to keep my skills sharp, and there are no 'chicken strips' on my Q3+ tires! But I can also comfortably ride with my Cruiser friends, or even take a modest 'road trip' without being in agony. With a little bit of 'tweaking' my FZ1 is putting a dyno-tested 140 HP to the ground and hits 170mph on top... And that gets this "disabled" 65 year young Marine Vet. around pretty well...
    BTW -- my 61 year young Brother has a 'Gixxer 750' that he LOVES! He had an '06...and when he wore that one out, he got a new model of the same bike...

Amongst all the nakeds, I still say the Kawasaki Z series ie the Z800, Z900 and Z1000 are stunning, it looks macho with the transformer head lamp and a fatty fuel tank, what more with the very reasonableprice it offers compared to its competitors. That should be the style and design of super muscle naked, meant for fun, easy and happy riding, daily use in towns and cities along the winding conering hilly roads. It is not for racing or on track, as the RR versions in all the brands are already meant for track.

    It is not fair to judge the GSX-S750 to the 900 cc bikes. Suzuki has the GSX-s1000. That should be the fair way to choose the best bike.

      @nunyabusiness1499 2 года назад

      I agree! It would be a much closer in displacement, but they wouldn't dare pit these 900s against the K5 at 150 hp.

    Think you guys might need to get the FZ and Striple into a 5 way with these 3 ;) Maybe add a Monster to make it a 6 way. I've test ridden the Z900, amazingly good bike, a steal for what they are asking for it. You don't even care that it doesn't have TC or riding modes, the engine is so smooth and controllable that you don't really need it. Very easy to ride for a fairly light 125hp bike, even floating the front wheel slightly in a 2nd gear pull it felt stable as can be.

    Mottorad tested the Z900. GSXS 750, MV Brutale 800, MT O9 and the Triumph 765 Street Triple S against each other and the Z900 trumped them all. Nuff said.

      I agree the Z900 is arguably the best bike, however for me it is ugly and more importantly not that comfortable (as shared by the testers above). I don't understand why Kawasaki would compromise the ergos on a middleweight naked, when really it should be very comfortable. These are not 20K superbikes, they should be fun and usable.

    The only problem with this is MSRP means nothing on sportbikes, most esp. Suzukis Ive never heard of anyone paying retail for one in the States, In real world shopping the Suzi is probably another 1-2 grand cheaper.

    I have no idea what's up with the Shiver 900. Is it super restricted or something? The old 750 makes 95 hp at the crank and 80nm peak, but the 900 also makes 95 at crank and only 10 more nm at peak.. Where did those extra 150cc go? It should be no problem passing 110hp at crank with that displacement in a twin.. But why would anyone ever get the Shiver 900 over the 750 when they are so identical and the 900 is more expensive. Makes no sense at all, what's the purpose of the 900? It doesn't bring anything new to the table.

    Why isn’t Aprilia’s middle weight naked bike not a mini tuono?? Seems like with the tuono factory unanimously and consistently being called the best super naked, Aprilia might decide to win a bunch of sales down the market a bit too

    • @brizi2003
      @brizi2003 6 лет назад

      You might find the seat to peg distance a little short - I did and I'm 5'11" but I was asking Kawasaki UK about weight range and the said quote 'The Z900 maximum recommended load including rider, passenger, baggage, and accessories must not exceed 180kg (397 lb). ' - so you should be fine!

    Should do this video again but with the MT09 and not the aprilia. The newer GSXS 750's have 112 hp which bring them much closer to the Z900's 125hp. I went with a GSXS last summer because the dealer offered it out the door for $8000, the Z900 out the door was $11,200. For ten horse power more. no thanks.
    GSXS also can get 200 miles per tank, which means 160 miles of super cushiony no fear riding before needing fuel.
