The Trekology Yizi Lite 750 is what I choose for my first backpacking adventure. It performed well and has been used on subsequent treks too! The Rock Cloud can usually be found in my vehicle and used for events/concerts/picnics. For as many times as I've tried the Helinox, I come away with the same result...it doesn't meet my needs or criteria.
I bought two of the Helinox One chairs in 2015. Used pretty heavily the last 5 years as back porch chairs, before that as camping chairs. They did not stretch out or tear and I'd expect them to last a few more years at least.
Helinox is a rip-off for the price. $130 for a tiny chair with 4 aluminum pieces where you can find even better chinese ones for $30. Imagine how much the Chinese brands are profiting in Amazon selling it for $30 while Helinox is selling for $100 more lol
@@samjam6989 I'm not sure if Helinox is worth it or not, but they are much stronger, lighter and long lasting than the cheap ones I have used. Mostly due to them using the DAC poles. If weight is not an issue, and by weight I mean ounces, and you don't need extreme durability, then the China brands may work just fine. Many people are perfectly happy with them.
I bought the YIZI light it was very comfortable, however it failed after 2 hikes. The mesh pulled away from the fabric. I contacted the company to just try and get a replacement seat, as the frame was still good. The chair was beyond the 1 year warranty. They offered a 10% discount on a replacement. I will not be taking them up on that, I replaced with an REI and I just have to say you get what you pay for. My new chair is worth it!
it worth the price... i had 2 random ghinese chairs broken, 1. the plastic joint, and 2. the pole poke through the fabric cup... they i switch to Chair Zero (arguably the lightest)... for a year now... perfectly fine... plus, helinox is believed the origin design of these camping chair... tribute to original...

Save the extra cash and get the $30 chair because that extra cash will allow you to buy a cooler and a cot. I rather have a cot, cooler and the camp chair for $130 instead of just a camp chair for $130. Don't pay for the name, a chair is a chair 😅
i use the Naturehike canp chair. they have 2 versions the regular similar to the chairs on this video, and the "long", which has a higher back you could lean your head...
I have China Helunox clones called Outad. They look like the chair one from Helinox. I surf on the upper weight limit and I noticed the seams have stretched quite a bit and in May I recently managed to bend two legs of the China copy. I just bought two Helinox festival chairs similar to the Ground Chair, to be able to sit inside a low tent and to have that upper rating, the Ground chair has a lower weight rating, as I was keen to buy the Ground chair in the first place. What I noticed right away is the quality of the Dac poles vs. the China copies. I think they are a tiny bit thicker as well. They look and feel.much better than the Chinese copies. Also the seat sheet appears to be much better sawn. I hope they hold up. The Chinese copies have become a tiny bit buy cheap, buy twice.
Quality remains long after the price is forgotten. I have the Helinox ground chair and I'd buy it again, despite being short of money as a pensioner. It's main benefit is comfort, which the others don't come near, so I'm prepared to pay for that. I'll guarantee it lasts longer than the others too.
Another point is that the Helinox ground is the only one I've seen with cross bars at the base, so it can be used on sand without sinking, as well as in the tent as he says. So that's why I'm probably going to pickup a ground, I think.

Hey I'm looking for a chair I can keep my knees lower when sitting this keeps my lower back from rounding as I have sciatica. Perhaps a shallow seet with a more upright angle would suffice. Does anyone know of such a chair?
Major announcement to the rest of the world! Alert Alert. I cannot get up from the Trekology chair. It's too low!! Next what I did is try the seat cover of my Helinox copy ( with orange frame and black/orange canvas) onto the Trekology. Surprise! Now I can get out of it without having to roll over! I guess because the canvas is more firm. The lower Trekology is actually more comfortable once you sit. But for some people it may still be a bit low to stand up without acrobatics. And yes the mesh cover of the Trekology fits perfectly on the 'Humful' Helinox copy! Makes it a little bit lighter. And it will fit inside the Trekology bag to make both chairs virtually the same weight. The reason why I also bought the Trekology is to be low enough to sit in my smaller tent if I use that. So please inform your government about this important life saving discovery. Thanks.

Could it be repaired? Sewing the mesh onto the fabric?

I like the features of the RockCloud chair and it's stuffsack also. $37 seems very reasonable.

I have one rated for 240lbs and it terrifies me to sit in it at 170. You really gotta try em out, the ratings are a bit optimistic on many of them.
