    What a cool little build! Those wee brushless motors really hate been over geared too. So could be worth checking the calculations and make sure your not aiming too high 🤔

    sweet build guys. I think the front sprocket you added is too big. yes, it is an electric motor and they are torquey but that is a pretty small one still. that's why the motor got hot because it wants to go so much but the start is too heavy.
    anyway can't wait to see the rest of this build!

    I used to own one of these back in 1981, and it was pretty quick off the line on a full charge with both batteries cooking the motor. It would get to about 34mph, then the motor would finally top out, and it would continue at that speed, didn't matter if you had one or two clicks on the "throttle". It was dangerous in traffic, people just wanted to run you over. Scary af. Using the headlight maybe almost halved the range. It would go about 20 miles with 2 fully charged Sears Die Hard deep cycle marine batteries. That dc motor would be quite hot at the end of your ride. A neat POS!

    Sweet bike guys. You'll set the 'net' all abuzz with this one.I'm certainly amped to see it go.Charge ahead, and we'll be waiting.I don't think there'll be any negative comments about this build.

    I think your gearing is wrong; you need more reduction. hard to see how to fit, maybe a jackshaft to have 2 stages?

  • @16driver16
    @16driver16 8 месяцев назад

    Chain seems really tight, all the electric stuff ive seen has a spring tensioner on the non drive side of the chain to reduce rolling resistance and chain noise

    Awesome project, guys. ICE bikes are my fave, but we gotta acknowledge the electrics are pretty cool, too. You guys rock, and as usual, Joe's a total hoot!!!

    Might be able to throw a bigger rear sprocket on it and get the gear ratio closer to where it needs to be

    Sprocket in rear is too small I would know to check rpm off motor and be sure to double check on rides plus wide tires and the chain sound right that will blow out bearings and ride slower anyway

    heat came form high curent flow.. beter wintring can solve that but stil werrry un eficient.-.- you nead reach 36+V.. there you become banging make more range, beter accceleration, less heat etc.. you nam,e it.. nice proiject! keep that up..
