Here it is, the Bolt Together Go Kart Kit we've created with the help of GoPowerSports. It took months of designing, prototyping, and filming to get here but the end product is a unique and fun addition to the go kart market. You can check it out here: www.gopowersports.com/bolt-go-kart-kit/?GoPowerSports&RUclips&Bolt+Go-kart&BBR&BBR. Thank you!
Is Jason still in college? I just watched a TikTok but I don’t have TikTok it said Jason made a tapered adapter. My 10hp tecumseh sling a rod on my generator. Tecumseh is out of business and Harbor freight for sure sells straight keyed shaft engines I need tapered shaft. Most people want to repurpose their gen engine to a go cart and don’t want tapered but I need tapered or an adapter..
This is awesome guys. Good to see all that schooling and education paying off. I think this has been needed for a long time. So many people can't weld or fabricate and this is the perfect solution for them. Hope Go Power Sports sells a ton of these. Good luck and looking forward to seeing what you do in the future!
@@BuildBreakRepeat Thanks for the response. I wanted to swap the 98cc motor out, because I will never use it. I love this kit and hope it will be a permanent addition to the store. Great build video! You guys did an awesome job. It was tinkering with go karts (manco) in my youth that inspired my career choice. I am hoping to do the same for my son.
Agreed. They should sell it as the full kit minus the wheels, tires, and engine for maybe like $700 so people can choose what they want. I bet the only people that buy this are RUclipsrs with tons of followers. Cool concept but extremely overpriced
With the steering wheel removed, do you know what the overall height is to the ground? Many of us have been looking for a go kart that could fit under the tonneau cover of our trucks, but we cannot seem to find this information anywhere. Thank you!
@@DeathGrimmR You are missing the point. I enjoy building them more than riding them. This is a way for someone with limited tools to be able to build something themselves in a weekend or 2.
@Cracked1ce Not missing the point. I would rather spend the money on one already built with suspension cause I have a bad back and my kids like jumping stuff.
@@DeathGrimmR You are still missing the point. This gokart is not for you. it's for someone else. People enjoy building things. This is like a big boy erector set. An already built RC car is probably going to be cheaper and in some ways better than an RC car built with an erector set. They are a different experience.
the slot in the axel is the keyway the Squair piece of steel that goes in it is the key if you buy it in one long piece that you cut to length that is called key stock! I don't understand why everyone on RUclips gets this WRONG? Please don't try to tell Me that I am wrong as others have , I am a machinist and have a background and tanning in mechanical engineering .

You guys have revolutionized go kart building and made it possible for everyone to enjoy Karting. Awesome!
This could be a fun father/son project.
Let's Go! Love this bolt go-kart!
i would love to see more go kart videos, ive seen lots of build tutorials but id like more driving content
That is the best 500$ Go Kart (for $1500) that I have ever seen

You guys are the coolest, nice work!
Great job guys !!!
This is an awesome thing, Jason. You and Joe knocked it out of the park! Cheers!
Is there a weight limit for this? Can you customize the kit to add slicks and a 212cc?
Yep! It will fit a 212 with the stock gas tank. It can use any 13x5-6 tires, but the kit comes with cleat tires.
We tested it with ~300lbs, but did jumps at ~180-190lbs

@@tiger200350 Thank you! After we get more feedback on the karts we hope to add options and upgrade kits in the future
Very cool!
Cool
nice fire build
Would be nice to see spare parts. Wreck and bend something, just unbolt it and replace.
Building is fun and all but $1500 is insane for a bolt up kit that ends up being a very limited kart with a junk motor.

please sell the kit without that 98cc plz. no motor, or a tilitson 212 would be nice.I dont need that garbage motor.
I don't live in the USA so I can't order it, is there a chance there is a plan for parts? size and cut info?
I don't have a spare $1500 just casually laying around.
Yeah I could get one new and already together with suspension for that price.

How much is it without an engine?

You are 100% CORRECT i am not really sure how SO MANY people confuse the two...
