I run the king main and rod bearings. I typically buy a standard set and a .001 extra clearance set because the last engine I built stock crank with standard king main bearings, although they plasti guaged within gm spec(on the tight side). When i put the crank back in after plasti guaging the crank was very hard to spin by hand even with the main caps not on it.(possible the bearings were blems) but with the .001 extra clearance bearings it spins like butter
