Great review! It’s so refreshing to see someone go over the technical stuff that makes a Power Wagon what it is. I ordered a 2021 and have enjoyed all 27k km so far. It’s a beast off-road. It’s heavy so it tends to sink in soft terrain but if it can find traction there isn’t much that will stop it! I’m still amazed with the amount of flex, I’ve driven through some pretty extreme things and it just crawls right through. I tow a 7,000lb trailer so I added SumoSprings (SSR-312-47) to help support the load. Unbelievably effective and zero maintenance. They unscrew in seconds so I can still get full compression off-road if necessary.
Thank you sir! I still have to get the truck dirty and slowly test out its limits! I'll probably do what you did and add sometime of rear spring helper because I will be towing with this truck at some point. I'll have to look at sumosprings because thats exactly what im looking for!
Hi Getty adventures, I bought my 2021 75th anniversary power wagon almost a year ago . I grew up in a family that has had different power wagons throughout the years . I also have a 1961 power wagon military issue that my grandfather bought brand new from military , I am currently in the process of restoring it . Congrats on the truck, they are amazing.
wow that's awesome! people forget that these truck were originally build for military use in the second world war. love the history and I love that you are restoring that 1961 PW!
Hey so that breather tube for the front diff should also be a one way check valve to not allow water in if the tube is open i would call that dealer and ask some questions about it
WOW!!!! Amazing ride!! Thanks for the schooling on the power wagon. It’s even more of a beast than I was thinking!!! Very cool! Thanks again for sharing,,, love your videos. Keep them coming with the new ride!!
FINALLY, someone reviews the important aspects of something - anything. Great job, man! You gave us a really important and honest evaluation of this Ram Power Wagon. Thank you for that. Your review told us why this truck is different from the dozen or so trucks we can order from the Ram truck lineup. You also gave us a very good look at how this is the ONLY TRUCK on the market that is really very close to being a JEEP WRANGLER - suspension-wise. But it's a Wrangler with a bed - not that dumb JT abortion. I have owned Jeep Wranglers for decades and had no idea FCA made another vehicle that could come close to resembling the same successful game plan when it comes to offroad suspensions. Since I am in the market and have been looking at Ram pickups I'd like to thank you for the clever and competent commentary on the Power Wagon. I was leaning toward the TRX but hated the fact they used IFS on that vehicle. Now I can actually have a live front axle - and a locker. It's like I now have my cake and get to eat it too! Thanks, man!!!!!
I was seriously looking at getting the Tradesman PW package! but another dealer near me had this 2022 PW for literally 200 dollars more MSRP so it wasn't even a question. But I did like the kind of sleeper look. like most people will never know that your truck is beast off-road. And as for the breather, someone mentioned that it could be a 1 way breather valve meaning that it could be submerged but I don't know I have to do some research!
@@GettysGarage Yeah, for that price difference it’s a no-brainer to get the “real” PW. I was lucky enough to find my truck as a used vehicle with 7k miles, so I saved about 4K off of sticker and didn’t have to pay the destination charge. I definitely miss the nicer interior, though!
When I was a kid living in Newfoundland my uncle had a Dodge Power wagon late 50’s. In the 60’s He was a millwright an worked all over NFLD. And the wagon was his get to the salmon pools, believe me the logging roads were fierce. You could sleep in the wagon and keep your workshop and field kitchen. I used the 70’s Toyota land cruisers to get to my spots in Ontario In 80’s, theFj40’s, real nice crawl and I had them setup with skid plates and tires so could get anywhere I wanted. The other day, When I saw the new 2022 power wagon,,I was thunder struck. I’m not sure I have a use for one anymore, but I want one. I’ve been number crunching.... question is diesel or gas ? The 2022 power wagon might be the last truck I ever buy.
That's awesome! been to Newfoundland and I can imagine those logging roads being real tough to drive! haha Yes they are very striking trucks. as far as utility so far this truck has been amazing.
Power Wagon is my favorite model. I drive the 2500 6.4, and 5500. 5500 has been solid, but the 6.4 has had the water pump seize, and swapped spark plugs for misfiring.
Picked up a 21 anniversary power wagon in molten orange. Currently over a 100,000 in mods and upgrades. Check out maple off road for parts as you can get a detloft transmission and oil pan skid plate. You need it if you are going to do any serious off road. Also let me know if your going to sell the step ups. I have the rock slider rails on mine but think I will only put the on if I am going off road and just run regular step up for the rest of the time. All my off road trips are planed and weekend stuff so it won’t be a big deal to switch them out. Good luck with the new truck and if your ever down near Ottawa check out calabogie Ontario there are lots of trails and camping spots to go to tons of crown land to play on . We need someone to step up and organize an Ontario power wagon get to gather and do an off roading weekend. Thanks for the great video, new subscriber
Those 21 anniversary truck are beautiful! But honestly I really want to rip those steps off because I dont like the look and they tend to collect salt and crap in the winter. But I do plan on take this truck through some decent terrain not sure how hard core but I want to at least take the truck to its limits a couple times a year kinda thing. So maybe ill keep them on for protection but idk I'm undecided. And right on sir my family is originally from the ottawa area so I'm up there all the time. I'll have to check out those spots!
Thanks for this underneath view of the power wagon! Waited for quite some time for a video on this subject!!! You made easy to understand how the components work together . I love hunting, & fishing in remote areas. Have driven the 2500's from the competition to these areas . Did the job ok , but I did not feel totally comfortable doing so. From extensive research on the power wagon decided to purchase. Main factors disconnecting sway bars, & factory installed winch ( seen it in action pulling a car out of deep mud ) .
thank you sir! the PW has so many great features and I figured I'd just give them a good run down from a more mechanical stand point. From the very little off-roading I've done so far I feel way more comfortable in this truck then my 1500. axles with a ability to lock and worst case scenario there's a nice winch! all in all a very capable truck if you are not planning on towing heavy trailers
Great talk through I have a 2021 and spent all summer pushing it off road in northern Vermont only thing that has stopped it is when it just won’t fit. I’ve spent so much time explaining that there is more to the truck than badging great to hear.
I picked up a used PW (2020 white) . your Ram 1500 videos w OPEN DIFFS made me upgrade (from my 1500)to PW. You cost me $$$ bro 😃. No regrets! THANK YOU for the under body views 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Well I'm in the same boat now haha 😄 these things arent cheap but my god what a truck. So smooth on the road and can basicly overland any terrain you want. That 1500 was good to me but it lacked when it came to its 4wd system.
This PW is a better ride and more luxurious than my ‘12 1500. That says a lot considering it’s insane capability vs 1500. 🤯 I’ll never need to tow more than 10k lbs so the negative isn’t a neg for me.
@@MrCN173 I knew i wanted this truck or the rebel with two locking diffs. But i figured this truck had the winch and seemed to be more dedicated to off road use so thatzms why i pulled the trigger on this truck
@@GettysGarage you made the right choice. I bought mine back in August of this year. I wanted the four-wheel-drive system the rest of this beautiful beast is just a bonus. Only put about 4K miles on it but I absolutely love it.
2 Rams, GMC trail boss, F250 tremor on my last outing. Quite impressed with all of them. Wheelbase break over, and approach angles were the only issues.
Regarding the diff breathers. They all have a one way check valves. Note there is one on the trans and xfer case as well. It is interesting that my '13 wagon runs them up to the shock tower. Here is the thing. When the axle hits comparatively colder water, there is contraction, creating negative pressure (AKA vacuum). This in effect will clamp shut the check valve, regardless if it is 2 inches long or 20 inches long, which is maybe why they said screw it and just shortened it. However, that vacuum has the propensity to pull water in from the axle seals (not good). This is why you see some Aussies with raised diff breather kits. They mount them as high as possible. The kits have sintered filters at the high mounting bracket that allow clean air to move freely in/out of the breather tubes, effectively negating the potential for vacuum. I have one such kit, but just have not gotten around to installing it.
Same with my 2010. I've experienced the vacuum through the seals hitting cold water when the diffs are hot so the check valve has been removed and like yours my tubes are already as high as they can go under the box and the hood. Same with my Rubicon. I don't get the corner cutting on something so simple when they perfect so many other aspects.
-9??? As you know as a Canadian neighbour that is peanuts. Try starting that girl at -30 plus without plugging er in. Now I have tried with my 2019 Hemi. Minus 33 and she started. No problem here in Manitoba. I was happy and impressed. Says a lot in our cold and rough climates. I must say I envy you with the power wagon. Great great off roading truck. Can’t beat it. Look forward to more of your content.
Haha it was a "minor" cold start, unfortunately we only get below like -25 maybe a couple times every winter. but yes the power wagon is a pretty awesome rig, and it's actually build to be very good off-roading trucking
I’ve been in Watertown, NY THE LAST 17 years. The coldest I’ve seen it here was -37. It takes a few miles for the flat bottom of tires to soften up to get round again.
Hey there! I love your videos, thank you for making them. I am gunning for a powerwagon for my next truck. I’m coming out of an 2016 Ecodiesel. I am planning on beefing up the suspension to put a light popup on top, 600-700 pounds constant weight in the back. I want to know what you think of them Carli pintop system, if you have an opinion. I’m currently not planning a full pintop, instead planning on the Carli R2 2000 pound back springs with the thuren front springs and track bars, and 2.0 Fox shocks. I really don’t think i want 2” more lift. I’m not planning on running 37’s. I’m curious what you think of after market suspension. Let me know, thank you.
My gosh it’s cold oat-side in the Power Waygen” lol jk I love my northern neighbors. Most pleasant people on earth. Thanks for that video, I just got a 2021 75th anv edition myself and you answered a lot of questions I had. 👍🏼 Auto manufactures don’t do a good enough job giving customers technical details
I mean if the front was like the rear. a limited slip normally and then could also be locked that would be best case scenario. but either way torsen diffs are pretty sweet
thuren fabrication makes a 1.5 inch spring/shocks/track bar for the front end and i fit 37s on my 2018 PW with just the 1.5 inches....very little rubbing
Great video. 3/4 tons for off road are emergency off-roaders only imho. Too big, too long, and too heavy to really have a good time. A Tundra TRD is about as big as I would take off road.
Sorry don't know your area. The hardest place to test a vehicle on rocks is Johnson Valley California BLM off road park home of hardest off-road race in the world, "King of the Hammers" The area has the best rock crawling, small dunes and wide open desert, whooped out washes, dy lake beds, very steep rocky and sandy mountain obstacles and huge Boulder formations coming out of the desert sand that you can crawl over.
I'm not a mechanic but I don't know why many companies don't put a drain plug on front and rear differentials. I like the Ram trucks, I have a Toyota Tundra. Toyota have drain plugs and it makes the oil change much easier.. Ram have a great reputation as you know. Ram has thought through many things myself and others don't fully appreciate.
I worked with a mechanic with like a 2014 ford f150 and he wanted to change the front diff fluid. and he was pissed he had to remove the whole cover, but what he didn't realize was in order to gain access to the top 2 bolts we had to like drop a whole bunch of crap out the way. long story short it took him like 4 hours as a 20 year vet to change his front diff fluid. So yes its wild companies still don't have drain plugs on diffs!
That’s an amazing truck! So jealous. I read that Chrysler as of 2015 does not put German built zf transmissions in their trucks,Chrysler actually built a plant to build the transmission itself with approval by zf. Zf controls every aspect of the build but they are built in the USA,and I believe Chrysler negotiated some changes to the internals of the transmission with zf to build it cheaper ,I don’t think we are getting the same quality as German built transmissions.
See in my other post my comments of ZF tranny. After working on them in our 2011 Range Rover I have a very low opinion of ZF transmissions. Going inside one will make you throw up. Nice when they are working.
I mean at least its being built in the US, but i really don't like to see that they are being made cheaper then the original ZF. Thats just such a chrysler thing to do lol
I understand cost and that’s what all big manufacturers do Gm did it with Allison so I expect that from stellantis I get it and but it doesn’t mean we have to like it
Dude! -10C is NOT cold!!! Try -30 and throw in a 20-30 kph wind! Now THAT"S COLD!!! For 6-8 weeks straight!!! Happens every January/February in Saskatchewan!!!
haha you aren't wrong. Ontario doesn't get as cold unfortunately but we'll call it a minor cold start how about that. coldest it normally gets where I am in Ontario is like -30. usually only for a couple days a year. but Saskatchewan cold is something else!
I love my 2019 pw but what i don't like is when its on 2wd and on snow it likes to spin tire. I have to be feather light on the throttle. When i mean snow i mean just barely any.
It's thick plastic Okayy lol ya I'm not sure why they don't have a skid plate for it. the only reason I could think of is that it's a good way higher up then the transfer case and the transfer case is more likely to hit something then the transmission pan.
The problem as a avid "offroader" is its a prime spot to get hung up on a rock, stump, etc(?) And plastic unguarded...ya, this is my 3rd power wagon, kindly seems abit of a planned obsolescence? Let's get rich and mod up a skid bar system(?) Maybe plate a bad idea do to heat? Bars would work (?)
@@poorboyz888 it seems like you are not alone. Alot of folks are saying that if i plan on going serious off road stuff I should consider getting a trans skid plate and oil pan stid plate. Something to look at forsure! Thank you for the suggestion!
Did it come with a spare? In a few of the videos I see it is not there. I apologize if this has been answered in another video. Thanks. Appreciate the vids and info
Yes it did! full size spare with a nice duratrac tire. in the winters I take the spare out and put it in the bed. firstly because when I get the truck oil sprayed they can get the underside of the bed and because salt and crap doesn't get trapped up there all winter
Any chance you could get the P/N from the spare rim since you have it out from underneath? I want to buy an extra and mount a 35 to match my summer setup. Thanks!
I mean a solid front axle does ride a little rougher in general but still a very soft ride compared to a normal 2500. I would say the 1500 is much more like car like and the power wagon is much more truck like feeling on the road but the PW is very comfortable and does not ride like a heavy duty truck if that makes sense
I've currently got a 2016 Ram Longhorn 5.7L so I'd love to hear what you think about the Power Wagon on the road some more. I've watched your other videos and you hit on it there I know but maybe now that you've had it a bit longer what do you think of it on the road?
On the road so far it is a comfortable riding truck. Obviously with 2 solid axles it rides a little rougher then a 1500. It also feels way bigger. The one thing that I was not aware of is how bad these things are on gas. Currently im averaging like 13mpg but the engine isnt broke in yet so hopefully that will get closer to 14-15 as im driving alot of highway. I thought the gas would take a hit forsure but I didnt realize it would be like 50% more fuel the my old 1500. I was thinking closer to around 25% more. But either way on road its very nice to drive
@@GettysGarage Thanks for the reply. Yeah, I don't normally care too much about MPG but that is a big difference, enough to care :) I've owned solid front axles up until this ram 1500 so I'm pretty used to that feeling. In some ways I kind of prefer it. I just got back from the dealership because the Power wagon I wanted sold. They had a Rebel G/T that is very interesting. I hadn't seen a G/T before but with the Mopar exhaust, intake and paddle shifters it was a fun rig.
@@JeepingNet A Rebel GT eh? Sounds like a cool truck! what is different about the truck from a normal Rebel ? is it kind of like a hybrid between the TRX and the Rebel ? but ya if you can get your hands on a power wagon I would recommend it!
Kind of like it's baby brother. the 5th gen rebels come with front and rear locking diffs as well but lack the ground clearance and winch. lighter duty axles and suspension. It still is a very capable truck and you get the benefit of better fuel economy and speed as it's a lot lighter then the PW
It has a Goretex membrane in the breather valves. It lets pressure out without allowing water in. The idea is that a hot differential will tend to "suck" water in when it is quickly chilled. The membrane is meant to stop that.
@@johnnysamples I mean for the amount of truck you get it's not the worst price. I was possibly looking at getting a ford raptor but those things are well over 100k which is crazy.
Thanks for the vid outlining the off road features - That’s a really nice looking truck.it’s interesting to see Ram putting some serious thought into those options. Do you thinks it’s overall size will be a downfall over smaller, lighter more nimble off road vehicles? Was there a one-way valve on that stubby diff vent tube? Thanks Alex and cheers
Can tell you first hand shes a big girl. 100% will have to make 35 point turns where jeep guys or tacoma guys can get around without a problem in tight turns and tight trails.
Ya this thing is BIG, most trails are probably going to be tight. Where as a jeep can probably sneak down ATV trails there is no way this truck could fit. But i mean its a truck so you can still get all the benefits of a truck yet still be very very capable in most situations. One thing im happy about is in the snow its so heavy that it will be much more planted on the road. Also thats a very good point about the breather I'm not sure. I'll have to look into that because if thats the case then this thing can go deep into water!
What I don't like about the power wagon option is the 4.11 gear ratio, it gets locked into.(it's pure, overkill) Frankly, I wish the 3.21 were an option. As a best of both worlds option for those of us who want a solid 2500 4x4 truck, but don't really plan to use it for towing heavy crap. But...it's not an option on anything above the 1500. I mean...I don't want to drag race the thing... I rather have fuel mileage, gears
Better off with the rebel then decent offroad and can change the gear ratio. This is a 2500. Its a big truck and a gas burner gas mileage isnt something that was even thought of when this was built. Wanted low gears for offroad crawling or towing
It may be overkill but this truck is also 7000lbs and with 3.21 gears this truck would feel soo slow. It already feel much slower then my 1500 with 3.21 gears. So I couldn't imagine what this PW would feel like with 3.21. And yes the fuel mileage is garbage I'm averaging 14 mpg which apparently is great for a PW lol. But with 4.10 gears hooked up to the 8 speed trans in 4 low you have incredible control and torque flow to the wheels. the final drive in that case would be 51:1 which is very very low, basically a crawl. So RAM was focusing on off-road performance first before considering anything else which I kinda like. and hey this truck isn't for everyone.
exactly the Rebel is a great alternative to this truck. it comes with front and rear lockers also. But I love having the heavy duty axles and the large ground clearance.
Umm... my dad had a 79 power wagon and it had 2.91s in it, so. Though power wagon in 79 didn't really mean anything... He bought it around '81. It was a dog on acceleration and that was after he dropped a '70 383 magnum in it (the red engine, not a blue one). from a roadrunner he had.. which was totalled in his driveway by a drunk driver in '73, and then dropped into a 69 Charger that rusted apart at around '84. Engines final home was that 79 pw at around '84, which originally had a 2brl 318.. He never changed out the gear ratio since he didn't want to buy two of them... sold it like in 1994 and bought a 83 short bed, with a 360 in it... originally a 318. That Truck is now rusting away in his driveway...
@@Threesixtyci would of loved to see those old girls in their prime haha. They dont make them like they used too! It is too bad his current truck is rusting away
Haha 😄 Hey now I like them, I meam the tread pattern on the seats is kinda stupid but I've run them on my old 1500 for 3 years and got great life out of the them. But only time will tell with this truck!
Pffft - 10 degrees science. Over dramatic Canadians 🤣 Come to me when it's - 10 degrees Frankenstein. Nice video tho the ability to see what makes it a power wagon is nice.
@@GettysGarage hey boss while I am thinking of it could you possibly do a top of the sharkfin to the ground measurement? And mirror to mirror as I feel like this thing has to be bigger than posted if it is raised like you say it is.
It’s a has truck would anybody buy heavy duty truck gas don’t make sense I have dodge all Diesel only Ones that There’s in the big truck world that’s like a truck for girls plastic grill
A baby 6.7 cummins isnt in the big truck world my friend. You put a 15 liter engine in your rig then ya maybe that big truck stuff. But also You can't buy a Power Wagon with a Cummins. It weighs an extra 1000 pounds. The suspension is specially designed to be softer and to have great axle articulation so you can actually do cool stuff off road. Also if you are buying a diesel with aftertreatment on it all i have to say is goodluck and hope your pockets are deep. 75% of all our work at my western star dealership comes from Aftertreatment. All those fault codes and derating engines print us money. Its a sad joke.
Congrats on the truck. But 1500 payload for 2500? Your old 1500 can handle that. Not that impressed. The Ford f250 and gmc 2500 has more payload and offroad
Thank you sir! Your not wrong when it comes to payload. But this truck isn't really designed to handle something like a horse trailer. If you are going to be towing over 10,000lbs this truck isnt for you. A normal ram 2500 has a payload of over 4000lbs and can tow 20,000lbs. But as far as a f250 or GMC having more off road capability that is incorrect. Between two locking diffs, disconnecting sway bays, factory 2 inch lift, a winch and suspension specifically designed for off road use its not really even close. The ford f250 tremor would be the closest and it doesnt even come with a front locker let alone a winch. Idk its not for everyone but it's exactly what I was looking for!
Where was your spotter for the pit ...:we will talk about this on Monday
Yes my Foreman

I’ve spent so much time explaining that there is more to the truck than badging great to hear.
well said! this truck isn't a poser and it backs up the Power Wagon badge really well.
Where abouts in Vermont do you ride? I'm from NY..
great review, thanks 👍
Great review. I always liked this truck. Was there not a 'work truck' version of the Power Wagon? I swear I remember a version that was stripped out.
I’ll never need to tow more than 10k lbs so the negative isn’t a neg for me.
You sold me. Great tests on the 1500. Fn UNACCEPTABLE!! Good call

Awesome thank you!
Absolutly great review,!!!!! TY
Great Job!
2 Rams, GMC trail boss, F250 tremor on my last outing. Quite impressed with all of them. Wheelbase break over, and approach angles were the only issues.
All very capable truck BUT I have to say the power wagon is much better equipped
Just cut the rear end and add a Mercenary Offroad bumper. Problem solved.
Very informative. Thanks
@@johnnysamples That's when you know it's cold!! when the tires are squared lol
@@johnnysamples We can hit those temps here also. Even colder pending on the windchill. I hear ya about the rock hard flat tire feeling. Lol.
I have a 2014 P/W and love it but the suspension is too soft for regular city/highway driving but still love it
Excellent job!!!!
Thank you sir!
Woow, that 75th edition PW is beautiful. probably going to be very sought after in years to come!
now if they would just have the front diff be a Torsen diff......perfection! Breather relocation......I almost forgot! One more on the todo list.
The hardest place to test a vehicle on rocks is Johnson Valley California BLM off road park home of hardest off-road race in the world, "King of the Hammers" The area has the best rock crawling, small dunes and wide open desert, whooped out washes, dy lake beds, very steep rocky and sandy mountain obstacles and huge Boulder formations coming out of the desert sand that you can crawl over.
thank you!
very very cool truck Bro!
Thank you sir! Can't wait to actually get it dirty!
Real men don't need drain plugs :)
I understand cost and that’s what all big manufacturers do Gm did it with Allison so I expect that from stellantis I get it and but it doesn’t mean we have to like it
@@christopherbrown1391 fair enough!
Great Vid!! Power Wagon Don't Care.. Owner of a 75th 2021 PW.
75th edition is in my opinion the best looking PW of them all. Love the grill design!

I agree - it is a beast. I just made a vid on adding rock sliders to mine.
well I guess I'll have to give it a watch!
When i mean snow i mean just barely any.
probably due to those 4.10 gears, just a lot of torque going to those wheels and the fact that there's no weight back there
Can get a "factory" 12k winch on super duties. Put it in quotes because it is actually dealer installed.
that's a cool little bit of info I didn't know. Do they install is nicely behind the stock bumper?
Is the cab a fifth generation cab?
My dream truck
She is beautiful!
How is the on-road ride comfort?
notice you didn't mention that plastic transmission pan with no skid plate.....
@@poorboyz888 It's alright, Dethloff MFG makes a skid plate for this area. I have barely touched it, in all my adventures.
How much did you pay for it? Thinking about trading up for one myself.
@@GettysGarage, thanks!!
Any chance you could get the P/N from the spare rim since you have it out from underneath? I want to buy an extra and mount a 35 to match my summer setup. Thanks!
I think it is stamped on the front face and would be 1 P/N for painted silver and 1 for eCoat black.
So how's the ride quality on day to day conditions, not really off road? Like pot holes, dirt roads etc. compared to 1500 or regular 2500
How does the rebel compare?
Kind of like it's baby brother. the 5th gen rebels come with front and rear locking diffs as well but lack the ground clearance and winch. lighter duty axles and suspension. It still is a very capable truck and you get the benefit of better fuel economy and speed as it's a lot lighter then the PW
What's the mpg?
Could it be a one way breather valve? Like waterproof type deal?
Thats what a lot of folks were saying! And it looks to be the case which is nice!
@@GettysGarage 32in of water here we come!
It has a Goretex membrane in the breather valves. It lets pressure out without allowing water in. The idea is that a hot differential will tend to "suck" water in when it is quickly chilled. The membrane is meant to stop that.
My Son has a loaded 2021 PW that he loves and when he parks next to my 19 Sport it makes mine look like a dinki car lol
lol pictures really don't do this truck justice, it's very tall. and when it's beside a 1500 it looks huge
What’s the 1st mod you’re going to do?
Rip the side steps off and put a decent set of mudflaps on the truck. Those duratracs kick up big stones so the mud flaps will help with that!

Best for off road. Not good for payload as towing as the leaf spring have been softened for off roading . You can’t have both
Nope you can't have both, if you want an off road ready truck you can't have suspension rated for 4,000 lbs
Exactly lol this truck is not meant for ATV trails
@@GettysGarage Well about that, some good driving and anything is possible.
Did you trade the 1500 in for the 2500?
I did, the used truck market is very hot right now and the dealership was willing to give me a pretty good deal on the PW so I pulled the trigger
@@GettysGarage I got my 2021 Ram Warlock in March and have considered trading it in for a Power Wagon. Love that truck.
@@catafoy1 it is a very nice truck! the only thing I miss with my 1500 is the fuel economy. this thing DRINKS fuel
@@GettysGarage oh I bet that 6.4L loves the fuel! And it’s a big tank. Enjoy that truck. I look forward to new vids with that bad thing.
What I don't like about the power wagon option is the 4.11 gear ratio, it gets locked into.(it's pure, overkill)
Frankly, I wish the 3.21 were an option.
Your 14 mpg trumps my 10.

4.10s in a power wagon?? They used to be 4.56s..
Edit to add; I've only dealt with the first regen of the Power Wagon..
Probably make up for it with lower gearing in the POS ZF 8 speed transmission.
Thats true, but ya the 8 speed trans makes up for that
Umm... my dad had a 79 power wagon and it had 2.91s in it, so.
