Are there any issues doing the normal overlapped lines from one end to another cutting in with a brush? Thank you in advance.

Hi @gumba12 - Not exactly sure what you're asking, but in our testing (and field reports since launch), Bona ClearSeal is very user-friendly when it comes to resisting any tannin pull and discoloration from lapping and padding out your applicator. We don't recommend pushing the limits to see how friendly it is, and don't cut-in too far ahead of yourself, but believe you'll find this sealer to be a great product for the professional craftsman. Hope that helps!

Do you need to use any other products after this to finish the floors?

    • @BonaProfessional

Hi @kdak247 - Yes, you should apply 2 coats of any Bona waterborne finish over the top of Bona ClearSeal to complete the job.

Can you apply this section method with a roller with NaturalSeal or NordicSeal? If so, should you still pour a line on the dry floor, or back into what you last rolled?

Hi @BillMall - Yes, you can roll in sections with NaturalSeal and NordicSeal (that's my preferred method on any job site). You need to be a little more cognizant of the drying conditions and air flow (to maximize leveling and flow), but I think you get more even results with the thicker coat that a roller gives you. I'll also typically pour the new line back onto the wet edge, as it's never a best practice to pour any sealer out in front. Hope that answers your questions!

@@BonaProfessional Great, thanks! One more question if I may.. I've heard that you should batch the pigmented sealers and even Traffic HD. Is this best practice? And if so, how do I do that and still pour my line from a single jug? I need to lay down 3 gallons per coat (approx. 1700 sq.ft. floor). Thanks

@@BillMall - Even if you batch the sealer gallons together, you'd still need to make sure you periodically shake/re-mix the larger container during use, as settling migh occure with the time it took to use a 5-gallon batch. I think it's more practical to shake up each gallon a specific amount of time (say 45 seconds) prior to application of that individual jug to ensure the product is freshly mixed (and you shouldn't need to re-shake during the time it takes to apply just a gallon. Just the agitation of pouring new lines is enough to keep it mixed). Same with the Traffic HD - Not necessary. I'd only batch paint and or maybe stain colors together (something with a lot more color/pigment), but don't see it as a necessity for waterborne sealers and definitely not for finish. Good luck with your project!

@@BonaProfessional I put my first coat of NaturalSeal down following this video"s instructions exactly. I don't know why, but I can see every pour line, and yes, I poured it in the wet and not on the dry in front of the wet line. So frustrated. I need to wait a few days for more product to be delivered, so I'm guessing I'll need to abrade with red pads on a polisher before applying a second coat. Any other suggestions to remove these pour lines? I'm thinking maybe try and put a heavier coat down? I used about a gallon per 400sq.ft, but it's like my floors just sucked it all up.

What is the thickness of the roller sleeve that you used?

Hi @ignacio5283 - The Bona Roller is a 3/8" nap microfiber roller.

It's that natural or white tone??

    • @BonaProfessional

@@Thematija006 - Bona ClearSeal has no white pigment in the formulation, so it gives you a clear, natural look to the wood without white undertones. Thanks for the question!
