It looks like there was a 2.0 version of the custom firmware in the works. I'm not sure if it will ever be completed. I'm glad you like the handheld, it's still probably the most bang for your buck in the market.
Well I returned mine just moments ago because the sound it makes when opening/closing was gone on the first day. This made the screen wobble when open or closed. Let me highlight this happened on the - first - day of use.
Your yellow is a much darker yellow than what I saw in some other videos. Wonder which one is the accurate color. I would prefer lighter yellow than dark yellow.

For the safe shutdown, in menu hold longer the start button, it will post the shutdown prompt ;) No thanks needed ;)
