Every time I see gadgets like this I feel so amazed how advanced technology becomes to be able to replicate with low cost. Things like this were not as easily available years ago and really exciting to see how it they hold up.

5:40 the Sega Master System and Game Gear are basically the same system, you can actually run SMS games on a GG directly using a cartridge adapter (it was an official accessory).
I was going to comment this as well. I actually just restored my Game Gear with all new capacitors. I love that thing.

idk why but the default sampling rate in snes emulator is 16khz. When you change it to 44.1khz the sound becomes much clearer

Actually it is more authentic to set it to 32khz as THAT is the actual samplerate the soundchip of the SNES delivered. Once you go to 44,1khz, you only get nasty aliasing of the interpolated audio. Trust me, 32khz already sounds vastly better than 16khz.

Did you see the Lego Mario sets prices? It's like 60-70$ for a 230 piece set. If that's not bad enough they are selling Powerup suits... 12$ for a new hat and pants with a few bits to make a base. Mario not included. Lego have always been expensive but compare it to the Mandalorian's ship with 5 figures at 150$ for 1023 pieces. Mario is a deluxe cashcow.
@@chamoo232 Yep, LEGO Mario is stripped off everything that makes LEGO great. You can't really use regular lego pieces much since you still have to use these functional bricks to make toy work. In order to get full experience you need to spend the equivalent of Switch Lite. Honestly fuck Nintendo as company, games are great for the most part, but as a company they get away with a lot of stuff that other companies would be frown at by gamers. Just take a look at other Mario 35th anniversary stuff.
This is the first "Knock off" that actually looks amazing in my opinion. The sound also seems really decent. £27.00 is a steal tbh.
Well tbh there are loads of amazing emulation consoles now, some that have a lot more power than this and are generally much better too and still cheap. Pocket Go 2, RG280, RG350P, Odroid Go Advance, RG350M, GKD350H, RG300, LDK game, Powkiddy RGB10, RK2020, ZPG pro

I'm impressed how fast these handhelds are improving, seems like we're almost there. I can't wait to see a v2 of this, with no screen tearing, and a bit better build quality. For $40 I wouldn't even mind if it couldn't do PS1 well, as long as they can iron out SNES

i just saw a video this week (feb 2022) that if you put a different firmware it fixes a lot of the SNES issues. l
Tearing is software issue you can install other firmware that will fix this

Random related: Master System and Game Gear are identical hardware (ROMs are absolutely binary compatible)
Only differences are the GG having a lower display resolution but with an extended colour palette. Emulators will group the two systems together, because the same emulator will run both types of games.
In fact, the game gear could play Master System cartridges with an adapter.

this technically plays more systems than an actual GBA with a flashcart, but I think I rather have a GBA and loose the extra systems that it doesn't really play well anyways
True but even though it “can” play 10 systems or what ever, at least 5 of them are very very playable and enjoyable. The stuff that doesn’t work very well could do with just being removed haha.
Plus this is cheaper to have. The screen is great and is cheaper than buying a SP then a replacement screen will be close to 100 dollar and most likely you will need a new battery also

Neat! The Powkiddy does the exact same stuff and software as my PocketGo v1.3!(Basically the same thing just much smaller) These things that use this firmware seem to always be great, although adding your own ROMs is harder at first, but I feel like when tech is harder it's usually more advanced and professional.

I actually ended up buying this console. I will say mine had a few major issues, key of which being that some of the console emulators just don’t work right. I wasn’t able to play NES games with a stability that could be playable. A few other emulators didn’t work quite well but they did work. BUT! I will say that I LOVE this little thing. It’s become my go to portable console since you can super easily download roms onto it. It’s really customizable and what runs well is super fun. It’s got everything I really cared about, the stuff that didn’t work wasn’t too upsetting as I either didn’t care about the console in question, or I have other ways of playing them. In all I love this console despite its faults.
Hi there, I got mine a week ago and I love it,the ips screen is amazing and colourful. And the games.......freaking fantastic, 9k+ games pre loaded, and best of all, I only paid £20 for it. I’ve played a few ps1 games and they played perfectly, as did everything else i played. But I haven’t even scratched the surface of the amount of games it has. I got mine from bangood. It’s surprising how many Chinese gadgets run on the old Nokia batteries. If you have a Chinese dashcam it most likely has one
I remember having the gameboy sp pikachu edition and it was in pretty good condition because I was very weird kid and took care of it. I was gonna keep it for nostalgia but my brother took my copy of fire red and shoved it in backwards. No matter what I did I couldn't get it out and I forgot about it after I put it to the side. When I went back to try and fix it I found out my mom threw it out. :(

I think the reason the coins in Super Mario World sounded off to you is that you grew up with the GBA version, whereas you were testing out the Super Nintendo version. The GBA and the SNES obviously did not have the same sound processor, so certain sounds were not 100% reproduce-able on the GBA from the SNES. Among those sounds are the sounds coins and Dragon Coins make when you pick them up!
You should put this into an AGS-001 clamshell

Did you know that boards aren‘t just pressure fitted into a device? Hardware is always smaller than its encasing, putting a smaller board into a larger case isn‘t a magical task. That’s why logicboards are always held down by screws.
You obviously can‘t just swap the boards out of the box, the powkiddy has more buttons, different ports and internally different screw mounts. But with a few modifications to the clamshell you could transform this into a more legit GBA clone.

The new black one for 2022-2023 works like a charm. I own the orange red, coral pink and now the black one of these. I absolutely love them. Even with just regular stock firmware. Plays Original Tomb Raider games 1-5 with no issues for ps1 and some other games if you use frame skip 1 and change the setting to sch1000 ect. I recommend this device for nostalgia feel and to bring better color and feel to some games :)
The newest 2022-2023 black version doesn’t have much differences from the older ones, though very small differences, you can tell they’ve improved some things with stock firmware.

I picked one up a while back and for the $25-$40 price tag I'm honestly kind of infatuated with how amazing it is. I think it's definitely the king of the budget priced Chinese handhelds right now by a large margin.

There's always a new handheld coming out of China it's amazing how they're constantly bringing out new handhelds
I've owned a lot of different emulation handheld over the years the current one that I'm using is the RG280m
I like how compact it is it's well-made and It just fits in my hand nicely
The only complaints that I have so far for it is that
PC FX emulation has no sound with either of the 2 emulaters that I tried
3do emulation runs slow
It came bundled with a Chinese adventure game which looked really great but there was no option for English text
I love it too! Very nice little handheld. A new cfw is in preparation by jutley.
It has good controls excellent screen and emulators are running fine. For 25€, difficult to find better than that...

It is good for making Legend of the River King 2 Gameboy Color Rumble after you fix the cartridge type to 1EH with the Gameboy ROM Analyzer. You can also do Nushi Tsuri Adventure-Kite no Bouken for GBC by patching it to English.

It’s just an emulation thing, who cares. There are so many decent emulation devices devices running the same dingoo OS stuff out there. The emulation isn’t accurate and it’s not authentic. You’ve got the original hardware, why not play the real thing rather than a bootleg?

devilishmode yah cause you’re playing 100 games a day. I know it’s the excessive space year of 2020 but you don’t need to have that many games at your fingertips, pick a game and play it. It’s not that hard to focus on one thing, you just need to practice.

devilishmode then carry your Mario kart cart if that’s what you like. Cartridges are small enough so that it’s not a big deal. Heck, flash carts are cheap enough and work with real hardware. Even if they’re a modern, multi-second attention span emuloid meme, at least it’s real hardware, so you’ve something resembling got the true, intended and authentic experience.
I actually might buy one of these when I have the money, looks REALLY good for a bootleg GBA.

Hey Elliot, I did the firmware update and Etched it and Partitioned it and it is much better after. If you like roll playing fishing with Rumble you should use the Gameboy ROM Analyzer for Windows to change the cartridge type to 1EH on Legend of the River King 2 GBC. Then you can make Nushi Tsuri Adventure-Kite no Bouken GBC English with a patch too. The Playstation also has Fisherman's bait, Big Ol' Bass and Big Ol' Bass 2. I also reccomend a 3100 mAh battery from Ebay for longer play time. Don't forget to shut down on the menu before you shut it off. I am a little slow and I still got it figured out. The update is a must.

For the Master System and Game Gear games being in the same category, it’s because they’re basically the same on the inside but it’s just that the Game Gear has slightly different video hardware and has stereo audio. That’s all the differences basically
