    So we got this collar for our boerboel shes very intelligent and is very well behaved but sometimes she's very stubborn in terms of recall I also try to get her through a small agility course in our garden and I feel like she needs a small tap on the shoulder as she's very stubborn sometimes ive been putting the collar on her and letting her wear it for short periods an hour or so at a time always giving her treats and doing basic commands like sit and down just to get her used to the collar being on her neck when should I start training with the stimulations for recall and agility

    Thank you so much for providing this video - really helps a lot to see how it works in detail. Would you be able to explain though what the difference between electronic and blunt stim is? i know you said blunt stim is vibrations but i thought that's what the electronic one is - how does it work without amps?

    • @thedogprofessorllc
      @thedogprofessorllc  Год назад

      Blunt stimulation is vibration. Electronic stim uses low amperage unless getting into the higher levels (more aversive stim) - which is generally not necessary or needed. Most dogs respond to levels lower than than the 15-20 percentile

    hello! so i had my rottweiler trained and they trained her on the mini educator.. ive been using it for almost 2 years now. like i mentioned they sent me home with the Mini. im looking at the 800 boss right now. i noticed you have the adaptor on yours in this video. is that something i can put on the mini or should i upgrade to the 800 with that adaptor??

    • @thedogprofessorllc
      @thedogprofessorllc  2 года назад

      Hi Vince. If the Rottweiler was conditioned on a Mini Educator & is functioning fine on it - I see no need to change. If the dog is being non-compliant or giving you “refusals”, it may be time to follow up with the folks who trained her for a follow up lesson.
      In regards to the “adapter”. Are you referring to the upgraded contact points?

    What’s the difference between the boss and the k9 handler?

    • @thedogprofessorllc
      @thedogprofessorllc  4 года назад +2

      Omar - Thanks for the inquiry. Hope all is going well with you & your dog. The Boss Edition comes with a standard strap (collar), meaning no bungee & no quick release. The K9 Handler model comes with an upgraded bungee strap (collar) however no quick release & upgraded thick haired contact points. The Boss edition comes with standard short & long contact points. The K9 Handler edition has different insignia / logos on the transmitter skins (collar remote). Neither model comes with a quick release system, however can be added to both for a small fee. You can contact me through my website www.thedogprofessor.com to place an order if you would like. Happy training.
