    Absolutely fantastic!!! That is the best Leeds United documentary ever! That was so brilliantly done. What a trip that was, absolutely gone right back to those days which I had the pleasure to witness as a young lad of 21-24 years of age. To all the players and Seargant Wilko and even Bill Fotherby, I thank you. I hope you could read this. Chris Whyte, I love you, what a great man, you did it for us mate! Vinne Jones, absolutely love you, you are 100% Leeds man, always will be, you got us there, no regrets! Gordon Strachan, what great words, how humble you are, what great joy you gave us, that Leicester goal, we feel the same about it too. Gary Mac, simply class, Scotland rules, you and Strach, Batts and Speed, formidable quality, the perfect midfield combo. Mel Sterland, love seeing the joy you have telling this story! What a signing you were and player you were. And Dylan too, what great times you had. Howard Wilkison, great, great management, your words about facing a city square thronging with fans recieving their adulation, what a moment for us all. You gave us something great. Brilliant!!

    Great documentary of a special time .... as an Aberdeen fan I can absolutely relate to the wonders of Gordon Strachan who cotributed to a team and an era at Pittodrie that will never be repeated ( ... and Aberdeen are still the last team to beat Real Madrid in a European final ... we even won the Super Cup ... so have 1 more European trophy than either Celtic and Rangers) ... Leeds had a fantastic blend and a great manager at that time... always a good combo ... I have a soft spot for Leeds as I also remember the Revie era (robbed of a league title v WBA and could've / should've won the European Cup) ... also a soft spot for Sir Alex given his amazing achievements at Aberdeen ... but my English team has always been (since the days of Frannie Lee, Colin Bell, Mike Summerbee etc) the blue half of Manchester ... which. until 2012. meant you said "typical City" a lot ... similar challenges to Leeds in trying to get back to the big league ... Aberdeen need somebody like Howard Wilkinson at the moment (here's hoping Jim Goodwin can do the biz) ... very happy that Leeds stayed in the Premier League ... proper club (and I think you have a good manager for 2022 / 2023 season) .... thank goodness for "fitba" .... thanks again for video ... CMcG, Aberdeen, Scotland

I just wish they hadnt sacked Alex Smith, he was a good man and manager, who built a good side......I remember praying Leeds would win the title,...despite being a huge fan of auld whisky nose fergie. There was something very special about that ,Leeds side ...before the premiership and all its ,billions was born.

    I'm a Liverpool fan but I love watching documentaries like these. Leeds are a great club. I was 13 at the time of the 1991-92 season and was there when Leeds came to Anfield in the run-in. Leeds expertly shut-up shop. I can't remember there being a single chance at either end really. But that's all Wilkinson wanted and needed as it was probably Leeds most difficult game left, while Man United still had to come to us and we were always going to be bang up for stopping them winning the title. The atmosphere was ferocious and we ended up beating them 2-0. From memory I think that that more or less secured the title for Leeds.

    • @mathewaconley7810
      @mathewaconley7810 2 года назад

      @@just-jack-jj4647 I’d rather still have him obviously, he’s a great player and never stops fighting, but we also needed something different upfront which I think Nunez now offers us. We drew at home to Spurs near the end of last season which ultimately cost us the league, Conte just sat back and marked our full backs out of the game and we couldn’t find a way through. Nunez is such a big powerful guy and great finisher that he may prove to make the difference in games like that this year. All our other forwards are pretty wasteful with their chances, Nunez is an upgrade in that regard. Without selling Mane I don’t think our owners would have bought Nunez, so losing Mane is bittersweet really. Anyway, good luck for the season. Hope Leeds can solidify their Premier League status. It's where they belong.

      Away to Oxford United. 0-2 at half-time. Into a half empty away end (most were downstairs for refreshments) walks Leslie Silver and a young man, both in Leeds tracksuits. They speak with a few blokes down the front before making their way over to me and my mate Eddie.
      We're asked what we think of the first half performance. Eddie was about to start on a rant about how shit we were which I'd already heard once. So I told no you're wrong. I then explained my view. Which was that Oxford are nothing special. Man for man all our players are better. The problem was that Leeds were playing like a bunch of strangers. They had forgotten how to pass to each other. I just said all we need is clear heads and hard work and we could still win. I was thanked for my comments and they went back out onto the pitch and off to the changing rooms. Eddie, bless him laughed at me.
      45 minutes later 2-4 and Chapman missed a penalty.
      I'd like to think I might have helped a little.

It truly went from thinking we had blown it after the City result to what seemed like a miracle all within the space of about a week. It was a great season and had some great celebrations with my dad on the phone following amazing performances such as Villa & Wednesday.

    Wow, what a fantastic documentary, I loved every minute of it. I was intending on watching it it it just auto played when I was out of the room. I'm a massive Liverpool fan and Leeds are huge rivals to us so I wouldn't have watched it under any other circumstances. I just found it really inspirational, what a great bunch of lads. I can remember watching them that season and not really knowing the back story, I'm so glad they beat the Mancs to the title. I saw Leeds at Liverpool in 1991, great atmosphere standing on the Kop, my feet hardly touched the floor it was that packed.

    Loved this. Classy Leeds team. From a Chelsea fan. No room for racism , message from Vinnie Jones. Chelsea's first black player Paul Canoville was booed by his own fans on his debut...

    With how well Leeds did in the 1991/92 season made it so surprising what happened in the 1992/93 season. Finishing near the bottom of the table and not winning an away game for months on end.

    Wonderful to see Bill Fotherby Howard Wilkinson Gordon Strachan Vinnie Jones all trying to give others the credit ! You don't see that these days unless it's crafted p.r virtual signalling. Fotherby bringing all those talented people together IS SPECIAL ! WELL DONE ALL ! This was the most authentic I've seen Vinnie Jones and Strachan is just class !
