I truly enjoy watching and listening to the technical and mechanical work that is required in building an engine. It is clear that you know your stuff and you are in particular extremely intimate with all the technical specifications of any Subaru engine which you have set your mind to build.

I am new to this channel but was impressed and humbled by your attention to detail when building engines then when I see you do normal diagnoses and repair that a average technician would do that same level of detail does not always transfer. I was wondering why the nice fender/bumper cover would not have netting over the center of the bumper where the air flow would be good to keep the cover on while still running the engine but have netting over the head lights. I think being to see the headlight through the bumper cover is not that important. I was also surprised that there are no exhaust fans and tubes for exhaust evacuation. This is something you would normally see in your average shop. I do understand that this is not a average shop and is a very specific shop and is the best at what they do but I just thought that same level of precision would translate. I also I think you can just unplug the MAF sensor and it will run in case you do not have a new one on hand. Thank you for your effort in this video I only wish that my genetics would allow me to reach that same level of precision.

I used to try to get the dealership I worked at to stock common electronic parts so I can use them as test parts. but they wouldn't. having new stuff to try is such a time and money saver. they seen it as a low tech approach and didn't want me to do it. but they didn't understand that motorcycles do not have sophisticated ecu's like cars do that can pin point a problem area. they just know if there is a wiring issue to trip a check engine light. the sensor has to be completely dead. the ecu doesnt know if the sensor's data is right or wrong. so unless it's unplugged or a wire is shorted etc, it thinks the sensor is fine.
