In all the time I've been painting eyes, I've never worked out to water down that specific white for this specific job! It's perfect. Haha I am so happy my brush noise didn’t distract or annoy you! 😂 I absolutely love doing the watered down white wash technique, I somehow discovered that one day while messing around and it really brings some realism to the finished eye and adds an almost 3d quality to the look IMO. I just walked away in disgust from a project I’ve been fighting for three days as I just couldn’t get it right so what you said about frustration etc was very helpful. I wanted to tear it up but I just put some glassine over it, labeled it “disaster” and am keeping it for reference when I want to see how not to do the same thing. (black curly coated dogs). Your videos are very helpful because some teachers make it over complicated and if I fuss overmuch trying to follow sometimes the piece gets overworked. The direct and simple approach you have is very good at conveying necessary information. Makes it easier to remember. Thank you and please continue making videos. I will watch them and learn and I value you as a resource.

I completely understand how you can feel, so many times I’ve been brought to tears over a piece that gives me a hard time and I always have to remember to take a step back, breathe and not be too harsh on myself. It’s all a learning process and mistakes are where we make the biggest leaps in learning! I will definitely put up more videos soon, my work has had me working a lot lately so I haven’t been able to paint much but I’m sure before very long I will get another posted up soon.
