Mario Kart DS with Mario Party DS and Super Mario 64 DS feel like a perfect trilogy with no flaws but too much nostalgia. (edit) and new super mario bros
MARIO PARTY DS IS UNDERRATED AF. The minigames are so unique because they all fit the theme of the game. That everyone has been shrunk. You actually feel like you are battling to get big again rather than just playing some party games to get stars. Also the splurge star on DK's Stone Statue was a great feature

Mario Kart DS is literally my childhood. My brothers and I all had DSs so we would play online together on road trips nonstop. We also thought that each shy guy color meant a different speed level 🤣

How to play as shy guy: play with a friend or with a family member and if they don't have the game card the game will chose what color do they play as shy guy but it's only for the person who doesn't have the game card.😄

You should really do a full series on Insaniquarium. It’s one of my favorite childhood games of all time and is great to kill time, full of awesome gimmicks and humor. And can even be challenging.

Dry Bones in the Dry Bomber is hands down the best Character/Kart combo of all time. Perfect handling and unbelievable drift boost. My personal favorite game from the series.

This video came out EXACTLY 10 years after Mario Kart Wii was first released outside of Japan.
I remember breaking the top screen of my DS and actually still playing Mario Kart, surprisingly enough it's easier to see the fake item boxes and kind of gives you an advantage if you get good at it.

Wii u and the switch kinda copied the ds, I mean two screens was new back then.
They just made a "gamepad" and the other screen is the TV.

The character selection in this game is perfection. All the good ones, Mario, Luigi, Waluigi, Wario, Peach, the lot of them, and no terrible “We’re our of ideas so let’s just chuck him in” characters. Well, there’s ROB, but we can let that slide since everything else is still amazing.
I wouldn't say ROB is considered bad. He's just not a fan-favorite.

Another cool thing about the balloon battle mode in this game, is the less balloons you have inflated the better items you get. I like that there is a risk reward element outside of race shortcuts.

People ask me why I carry around 4 ds's. It's literally just so I can play 4 player mario kart (sometimes 6 depending on if someone brought their ds) at lunch with friends. We yell, we laugh, and we have fun. We also get weird looks from people that think 4-6 9th and 10th graders is stupid but hey who are they to judge.

Though I’ve played N64 with my cousins and a bit of my brother’s GBA game , this was my first Mario Kart I owned and I certainly played it a lot.
And the top screen of my first DS broke so I actually had to use the bottom screen until I got a new one.
One thing I really liked about it was seeing what items everyone had though so I could react to an enemy blue shell and switch places before getting hit.

The Legend Of Dee i mean i see people complaining about no waluigi, but what would really change that much if he was in the game? He probably wouldnt be as good as metal mario and people probably wouldnt change from the metal meta.
so what im saying is that if you look past the characters, mk7 has one of the best selection of nitros and retros, the gameplay feels fluid and glider physics are way better than mk8.

5 months later... well as far as I remember that was Yoshi's Island in the Last Cup and you had to jump with a speed boost over a gap (through a waterfall maybe, not sure about that)

When I was younger my brother and I went to our babysitter’s house and they have three daughters with ds’s and so do we and they had 2 friends come by with their ds’s and we all played mario kart ds together and it was fun
