The fact that the GameCube's controller is being supported 3 console generations later is mind blowing, and I can certainly see why it is.
I hear it was more powerful than the PS2. Is that true?

The Wii is superior because it can play GameCube games and has its own games. You can use GameCube controllers (though it's wired) and you can use a Wii Remote, and sometimes even the Nunchuck if you insert it.
The most mind blowing fact is that a console with a library this good didn't sell well

I took PS2 because I didn't kniw Nintendo existed,I still like PS2 but I wish I knew about GC sooner.

But I agree, you hear these vocalisations in Chao Karate in SA2B among many other Japanese-inspired media.

Man. This takes me back. I got it christmas 04 and the first 5 games of mine was mario party 4, double dash, the spongebob movie game, sonic adventure 2 battle, and sunshine. So i saw dk in mario party, wrecking double dash with mario and wario, dennis almost kills the sponge, live and learn and bowser talks in a mario game. And christmas 05. I got shadow the hedgehog "I am i am all i'm". I'm i'm I'MMMM.

Yeah. Unfortunately after that they kind of slipped into a bland, safe territory, the most underwhelming thing about the switch is by far, the games. I mean.... rehashes that were on the Wii U with maybe a couple new features? Are you kidding??? 🥺
@@legendbtv there are only ten Wii u games though. Switch exclusives are more than 30 now, almost crossing 40. And all those games are great and have done amazing sales

I disagree, considering the wii became the top 3 of all time in sales. It has a lot of great games, hidden gems, home-brew, backwards compatibility with all GameCube games, and much more. The Wii U definitely not good but great for emulation and portability even.

The 3rd party support was worse than the competition/it cant play dvds/there was no online/the mini discs couldn't hold as much space as a standard disc meaning many 3rd parties couldn't be brought over

I still have my GameCube. I modded mine slightly so not only i can play at home, but i can play in the car without the need for an inverter. I still have the Game Boy attachment but i lost the startup disc a long time ago, and I'm pretty sure they're stupid expensive for a replacement disc.

I bought a GameCube recently, and it arrived today. Why did I want a GameCube? This video, of all things. You know you are a good RUclipsr when you actually make someone want to buy a GameCube. You are the best.
Let’s just talk about how the GameCube intro is one of the most creative things ever.
I don't know if anybody's mentioned this yet, but that menu music is actually the famicom disk system startup music slowed down! Doesn't get much more mind-blowing than that!
Why does nobody talk about the fact that the graphics are an insane step up from the N64?
GameCube is one of my favorite Nostalgic Nintendo consoles along with the N64 and Wii
So he said name another console that lets you change the music of the start up, well the Nintendo switch does just that. For the start up when you press the same button 3 times, you can press the right trigger or the left trigger to make some funny sounds, you also get some other funny sounds if you press on the left or right joystick.

And its Mind-blowing how the Micro SD Cards are smaller than ur nails and they have 1TB
This is my favorite console it's so nostalgic to me and the design is clean and I remember playing mario double dash at age 12 with my siblings.
Let's be honest, Melee will always and forever be one of the reasons the Gamecube is mind blowing

My childhood was spent with GameCube and I never had known a game like smash existed up until Smash 4 got released and my friend introduced me to it. Smash Ultimate is my first game I've owned of that series and I love it so goddamn much!

5:58 congrats on enjoying Color Splash! Being my only Paper Mario, I'd say it's very good. Memorable Music, boring story, boring fights, funny side quests and interactions. It was also the first game I did a challenge run for: PMCS All fights. I fought every enime.

I just ordered one and I’m excited
At the GameCube launch, I waited in the Wal-Mart parking lot from midnight until they opened at 6 am. That's how stoked I was for that console. And damn if I wasn't floored by the graphics of Rogue Squadron.
But how was I supposed to know that only like 5 people in my town wanted one at launch and they had probably 150 in stock on day 1.
That was a very good mind blowing, also you forget that the menu theme is the NES startup but much slower.

Very thankful that the GameCube was the first Nintendo console that I owned. Super Monkey Ball 1 & 2, Mario Party 6-7, Melee, and Kirby Air ride are my favorites and still own them to this day!

GameCube was the first console I ever played on, and Mario sunshine will always be one of my most favorite Mario games (along side Mario party ds) because of course it was my first Mario game I played. Brings me back to when me and my brother would take turns playing levels even on animal crossing too. I miss it big time

I remember getting my GameCube for Christmas in 2017; I loved getting it.
It's charm, it's library, it's controller, everything is said, a masterpiece of a console, the best one of all-time in my opinion.

@@noname-jt6kl Yeah, and I may have a nostalgia bias, but objectively, the console is still great. It released upon a time when Nintendo was using it's licenses (which were a lot, especially compared to other consoles at the time), and still respected them. Oh and there's the fact that most games that released in every platforms at the time had their gamecube version (which was more powerful) as the best one, and their PS2 version as the worst, for exemple Sonic Heroes or SoulCalibur 2.
Finally! A mind blowing video on my very first console! I grew up on this masterpiece of a system and still play on it, even 10 years later! And in case you didn’t know, the hidden startups aren’t the only secret the cube is hiding! The menu theme is actually a slowed down version of the startup theme to the Famicom Disk System!
You know, the GameCube was always that one console I knew near nothing about. People talk about literally everything else more, it never came up until like a year ago. Now, I’m finding out about the console I didn’t grow up with. While I‘ll always stay faithful to the Wii U, the GameCube seems like something I could definitely get behind. The charm, the risky plays with IPs which turned into stellar games,
and of course the intro.

I will always love the GameCube. I got mine in 2005 and playing Luigi's Mansion and Super Mario Sunshine brings back so many memories.

I still have the platinum version to this day, so whenever I want a but of nostalgia I'll boot up my gamecube time to time. Now here's the thing, i play kirby airride AND sonic adventure 1 till I got the " this disc cannot be read" orange notification. Yet, I still have fun with metroid prime (1&2), but i wish they did something with some other games like custom robo. One hell of a game to play with friends if you like mecha and lots of weaponry
GC was absolutely my favorite console and I totally regret getting rid of mine. Probably some of the best games that came out were on this console!

I still play the Gamecube my Grandmother bought me as a kid. It’s the indigo one that came with Super Mario Sunshine. A few years ago I picked up one of those adaptors that plug in the back of the console and outputs in HDMI, I’ve never looked back
