I feel like legendary weapons should be allowed for a few reasons 1. Legendary/unique weapons and just basically the same weapon just with a addition perk. 2. Unless you Purposefully go out of your way to grind for them or you know where a unique variation with the effect you want they're hard to get your hands on especially ones with good legendary effects. 3. They have the same upgrade requirements as standard versions so even if you get a legendary weapon doesn't mean you can immediately upgrade it to the max. 4. They could add some flavor into the gameplay making it more fun. Anyways for your next challenge should be to beat fallout 4 with a hunting rifle. Because it's considered to be pretty mediocre compared to the assualt rifle, handmade rifle, radim rifle, some pipe rifles, and the infamous combat rifle.
I like this i totally agree with it never said i couldn't use them but i thought i could be considerd a unfair advantage but if its luck of the draw and not a OP legendary effect then why not?

For future challenges, I'd say that finding a legendary version of your challenge weapon is fine. Being given a legendary version of your challenge weapon should also be fine. I'd say buying a guaranteed one from a shop is a bit cheeky, but considering you had to get the caps from somewhere, I'd say it's okay, but should be avoided if possible. Bethesda put the Legendary system in the game, it's part of the base game, I see no reason why random-loot and quest-reward legendaries shouldn't be allowed. Edit: One for the challenge list: Beat Fallout 4 with a laser musket.

I've (mostly) completed this challenge several times. I like using pistols due to the saved weight and pipe pistols are the most versatile. For me, this is like "Can you beat Skyrim as a stealth archer?"
I played the elder scrolls 5 skyrim years ago wayy back on the 360 and for the most part, being an archer or using the bows mostly in the game was quite a fun and reliable challenge.
I also feel like a random drop is fine. It's not you're using one of the guaranteed drops (Party Starter, Big Boy, Ashmaker), and in this specific case especially. Poisoner's is pretty trash, because so many enemies are totally immune.
For future runs so you never feel like you're going to have ammo issues, I want to let you know that if you pick up the weapons enemies drop directly from the ground, you get every round in the clip as well as whatever ammo spawn on the body.
I am pretty sure at the atom cats garage there is a guaranteed t60 spawn, so a playthrough where you can only deal damage with the suit of t6(punching, falling on enemies, pain train, etc) is feasible
Yes that is true if I ever did a T60 challenge which we will at some point that would be a limitation we could buy it form them but not steal it from them as the atom cats are awsome
I think the legendary pipe pistol would have been a nice addition! Seeing as you really want to optimize your character and that would have been very much in line with that. I think it would be a lot more in keeping with the "only using pipe pistols" than having Dogmeat :p
I think if you get a randomly dropped legendary that fits the challenge requirements I think it ok. the fixed spawn ones (like the instigating laser weapon from Arturo in Dimond city, Spray and pray from Cricket, ETC ) however I thing a a bit cheap.
I believe the Bolt Action pipegun is actually well regarded due to the Gunslinger perk. The Revolver seems like it's a decent way to get use out of .45 until you level Gun Nut up enough to convert the self-loaded pipe gun, though in terms of raw damage the Revolver does have a higher damage per shot.
@@InsaneFrame I've always wondered why the Pipe Revolver got crapped on. It always seemed like a cool gun that was better suited to sniping with .45 ammo at least until you could get a combat rifle. If you build for stealth and damage, you don't really need rate of fire - sure the Combat Rifle can shoot faster, but that's after you mod it all the way out. You can max out a Pipe Gun's mods at Gun Nut 2 - the Combat Rifle needs at least 3 to max its damage with .45, and of course it's a Rifleman/Commando perk weapon - without mods, the only .45 pistol is going to be the pipe pistol and revolver.
It’s so funny, I never have to search for the military circuit board and biometric scanner because I hoard them from Fort Hagen’s turrets. So I’m always confused whenever someone has to actually look for them

I have an idea for a challenge, try to beat New Vegas without any hud or checking your health on the PipBoy and only heal by drinking water or getting healed by a doctor, never able to know your health condition or rads, live in constant fear that you might be on the verge of death or just fine
I have only found your channel today and I do really like it, I believe an idea for your next challenge or a challenge in the future it could be "Can you beat fallout 4 with only Molotov Cocktails" or "Can you beat fallout 4 with only a super sledge" or if you have dlc "Can you beat fallout 4 with only a Mr Handy Buzzsaw"
It would be interesting if you were to not be able to plan a run, but have to use the first legendary weapon you get and see if you can finish with that. No matter what the weapon or effect is.
I'm a rifle user when it comes to fallout games but people always underestimate the pipe revolver in fallout 4 especially since you can get it in .308 which is the second highest base game pistol... Only pistol higher is the pipe bolt pistol in .50 but that's extremely unwieldy and extremely slow
so true and exactly why I picked it plus revovler weapons are very powerful in fallout in general and the cool factor is just amazing but glad your in agreement :D
it honestly depends as you can upgrade the armour to have excellent resistances but I agree there are unique challenges in power armour such as fusion cores and repair costs e.t.c
@@InsaneFrame the issue I found is legendary effects like chameleon and the way you can stack sneak boosts or the unyielding, multiple pieces of that and at 10% health DR is doubled and your looking at an extra 5 in all Special stats, that can't be done with PA. Welll without mods...
I use a pipe bolt action throughout most of my Playthroughs when I play this game. Easy upgrade requirements and deals pretty good damage. Reload speed sucks but who cares if you’re a sniper character
When ive played fallout 4, that pipe revolver rifle seems to be a high percentage in the loot table within that specific loot box in concord and ive never understood why. Despite this, its a very good weapon to use early game at least just the fact it uses 45 ammo which means its better to convert the ammo type to 38.
pipe are good weapons as they scale decently to the mid game and even late game with certain legendary effects certainly a easily overlooked weapon but give alot of bang for your buck :D
Less rules are better, one simple rule is plenty. Pick up guns from the floor for a free clip, you had only 200 rounds after the triggermen, but with that trick, you could have doubled that

I’d have used the pistol. It’s still the same weapon, regardless of legendary status/effect. It’s not a mod or game alteration so technically speaking there’s nothing to say you can’t use it
Legendary’s should count, that was a great gun to have to leave behind Also you should try beating the game with only the deliverer, it’s a decent weapon but it’s getting to it unarmed that’s the challenge
Still think the two variation endings with BoS should have been kept in.. You know. The one where you can either get Danse in charge or take charge yourself.. Same with other cut content as there was a LOT with FO4 and almost all of it was good stuff sadly. Some of it in-fact makes me think of the cut content of FO2,FO3 and FoNV. ( Though some of the cut content from FO2. FO3 and FONV was.. Strange.. Like that one race of.. Think it was talking badgers that managed to get out of a vault and had eventually made a society of their own. Would have made other quests interesting due to the interaction with those and that mutated race but.. Still odd. ) Side note.. I for some reason keep hearing you call the Synths as "Simps" >< Second side note.. Liberty Prime is a robot. Transformer would imply it can change its configuration into something else. Something it can not do.
I would say a dropped random legendary is cool but a guaranteed quest reward or guaranteed purchase is off limits. It's too easy to rush quest lines or Diamond City Blues and remove all challenge from the game with guaranteed items.
The chamber is part of the barrel it only hold one round and that is with regular rifles and pistols revolvers have what's called a cylinder twitch holds 6 rounds depending on the caliber issues and semi-automatic pistols normally have box magazines SKS and M1 garands are fed out of an internal Magazine with stripper clips

If its possible to 1 shot a deathclaw with a pipe gun then you can beat the game but to be fair rad roaches are more dangerous then a normal deathclaw in fallout 4

If you put enough points into gunslinger and gun nut you can quite easily complete the game with pipe pistols
"Fun-not fun-fact"- Danse helmet animation is only used once is the police station and even then it always bugs out on my game so i never see it :)

yeah I've always liked revovler type weapons in fallout so pipe revovler was the natural choice

Bolt action .50 is just so good. Getting 100+ dmg from a pipe pistol will never not be funny.

Legendary weapons are totally within the rules. It's part of what sets Fallout 4 apart from other shooters.

I feel like a power armour pipe pistol build is actively harder as you can't use anywhere near as man buffs from clothing to boost skills.

Hey no worries, thought pipe pistols because it limits what I can use and eliminates pipe sniper rifles from doing high damage :)
If its possible to 1 shot a deathclaw with a pipe gun then you can beat the game but to be fair rad roaches are more dangerous then a normal deathclaw in fallout 4
