This is very much appreciated. I continue to come across legalistic Christians that forget that Christ is the fulfillment of the law and continue to push works based salvation. God bless you brother.
2000 years ago, Jesus said that He came to fulfill the Law (Matthew 5:17-8) in its entirety, but ever since then, His followers have been trying to prove Him wrong.
I’ve been pretty scared recently because God doesn’t speak to me “literally “, I can’t lose the fear that I’m not saved enough. This concept of Jesus ending the “Law” by His sacrifice makes me cry in gratitude . I was so scared I’m not one of the Elect .
@@Katya-zj7ni While I understand where you're coming from, I wonder whether "ending the law" is the best way to characterize what Christ's sacrifice accomplished.
@FaithOnFire Great message. Another parable regarding Moses, has to do with the rocks from which water flowed. The rocks are a picture of Jesus (1 Corinthians 10:4). The first time, God told Moses to strike the rock (Exodus 17:6) at Horeb, also known as Sinai. Sinai is synonymous of the Law. So, Jesus was struck at the Cross for us, in order to fulfill the Law as our Substitute. The second time, Moses was to speak to the rock, but in his annoyance with wayward Israel, and in his zeal for God, he struck it. Jesus would be struck ONLY ONCE (Hebrews 10:12) for all mankind. After that, we believers only need to speak to Him (Hebrews 4:16). So, by striking the rock the second time, Moses essentially marred the portrait of Jesus that God was painting in the wilderness. God wasn't "upset" with Moses, per se. However, the only way for us to know that Moses messed up the portrait of Jesus, was for God to leave a record of His correction in the Scriptures. Also, Joshua and Caleb were the only two people from their generation who entered the Promised Land. Joshua was of the tribe of Ephraim (which means 'extremely fruitful') and Caleb was the head of the tribe of Judah (Numbers 13:2, 6). Caleb also was a Kenizzite (Joshua 14:6), and possibly not Jewish by blood. God gave Abraham the land of the Kenezzites (Genesis 14:19). So, it is possible that Caleb was a Gentile (descendant of Esau) who came out of Egypt with the Israelites. If I'm right then, a Jew and a Gentile led all of Israel into the Promised Land. Sound familiar? 😊
Wow, that is amazing insight. In relation to that line of thinking, it is commonly believed that not only the Israelites left Egypt but also many Egyptians (Gentiles) having seen the miracles of God chose to go with them.
@@faithonfireministries Yes, Brian! The children of Israel went to Succoth, and a mixed multitude WENT WITH THEM (Exodus12:37-38). We don’t have to wait for the New Covenant for Gentiles of faith to be classified as “children of Abraham” (Galatians 3:7). God hasn’t changed any from then to now. 👍🏼
Why do people think grace is a NT teaching ? Genesis 6:8 (KJV) But Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD. Exodus 33:12 (KJV) And Moses said unto the LORD, See, thou sayest unto me, Bring up this people: and thou hast not let me know whom thou wilt send with me. Yet thou hast said, I know thee by name, and thou hast also found grace in my sight. Grace has been from the beginning.
Hebrews 7:11-12, Romans 11:30-32 and Luke 16:16 shows that the first had to pass away to bring us in a new and living way into Christ by faith through grace, to keep the law requires no faith!
Great teaching and presentation Brian! Thank you for sharing the answer early in the teaching then presenting the evidence! The tactic of trying to hold everyone in suspense by holding the answer to the end is a too often used tactic these days for just about everything. It is annoying and stupid, because people who do that are assuming other people are stupid and don’t have the attention span to pay attention to what they are presenting! God bless!
Keep looking to Jesus, leaning on Him in all things, rejoicing and resting in His hope, strength, saving love and grace 😊 Our gracious Lord bless you, strengthen you + keep you, as He SO FAITHFULLY does 😊 Every blessings + love in Jesus, our wonderful loving, living + gracious Saviour 😊
This is really good Brian I had never heard this before you are such a blessing to the body of Christ! I was just reading in Numbers about this yesterday and I thought because of Moses disobedience is why he didn't through the promise land. This is great God is so good ❤
Do you believe in the Word of God and Deuteronomy 32 or someone trying to interpret the decision contrary to what’s written in the Bible, claiming that the Law no longer applies?

In re. to my coming back in sooner with vids, I had some serious pending questions answered via reading forum/message board posts. BRILLIANT VIDEO, Brian! this is so well explained. excellent description of the DIFFERENCE between Law and Grace, Spirituality and Religion, Faith and Work, and Salvation and Sanctification! Thank you for clearing the confusion that so many have. 👍👍👍
@@faithonfireministries in fact, I have never heard any pastor in this world making shedding light on this topic and I may contribute as well, that this is one of the clearest cross references between old and new testament on this internet! Really good presentation. Thank you. One other lesson I think can be learned from Moses: the "rock" only needed to be struck once - "once for all." Perhaps that's what God wanted to teach us, but Moses, being but a man like the rest of us, messed up the lesson. 😒
It is so amazing God revealed this to me through His scripture last week. Moses couldn't make it into the earthly promise land because he represented the law and Joshua who is a type for Jesus the Savior leads us into the promise land. God has given us so many signs that Jesus Christ is Son of God that even Jesus name is Joshua. The difference is NT was written in greek, so they transliterated the greek lisous form into english Jesus. In the OT, Yehoshua is hebrew for the english Joshua. If you take Yehoshua, it would translate to the greek Iisous ,which is Jesus in english. God was telling His name through a shadow figure in Joshua. Joshua and Jesus both means God is Salvation.
Thank you very much, brother! Please help me understand better why Numbers 20:9 KJV still says "as he commanded" when God commanded to just "speak unto the rock" in Numbers 20:8 KJV
Good question. I believe this is the answer. In verse 8 the commandment of God to Aaron and Moses was to do 3 things... 1. To take the rod and 2. Gather the people and 3. Speak to the rock. In verse 9 Moses took the rod as commanded and in verse 10 gathered the people as commanded, but then in verse 11 instead of speaking to the rock, Moses hit the rock twice with the rod and of course that is where he went off from what was commanded. 2 out of 3 aint bad, but doesn't live up to the high and holy standard of God. I hope that helps. God bless you!
That is a U.S. Marine Corp sword. It was my Dad's. His picture is on that shelf below the sword when he was retired and wearing his red Marine Corp League uniform.
Acctually Joshua is called IESOUS (exactly as Jesus is called IESOUS) in the Greek Old Testament translation called the Septuagint. So, in Greek both carry the same name! This is to underline what the video says. Thank you very much, and God bless you!
Not at all. Free grace is redundant by the way. If grace is not free it is not grace but rather it would be something worked for and earned like wages. Grace by definition is a free unearned gift. Sadly, you are confusing perfect sanctification with salvation if you are trying to suggest Christians do not sin and must not sin in order to be saved. Whoever requires perfect sanctification as part of salvation has a works based false gospel and is not saved to begin with because they only trusted in their own supposed sinless good behavior, a state of being only one ever achieved which is Jesus Christ. The Gospel of Christ is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believes (Romans 1: 16). Belief is the key, not good behavior and a lack of future sins. That is a whole other topic. Once a person is saved, then moving forward from that moment is when the Holy Spirit begins to do a work in that person that hopefully leads to spiritual maturity over the remainder of their life. Sadly, people love to be judgemental and use themselves as the standard of perfect spiritual maturity and judge everyone else by comparing their life to their own life and then start the finger pointing and condemnation. That act in and of itself is proof of spiritual immaturity and delusion.
Some would've thought you COULD be saved by the Law of Moses if God would've let him into the promise land after disobeying Him, by striking the Rock. Of course, the Rock was a Jesus archetype. Moses was commanded to strike the Rock 1st for water, symbolic for Jesus being stricken on the cross for our sins. Then Moses was commanded to speak to the Rock for water, symbolic for calling on the name of the Lord in faith for the "waters of salvation."
Once we are saved there are some that say that the Holy Spirit in us will help us Obey the Law of Moses, particularly the 10 commandments. This statement would be incorrect. However that being said, The Holy Spirit in us will help us overcome sin. What is sin? Anything that is not of faith! And as it says in galatians if we walk by the spirit we will not carry out the desires of the flesh. Now violations of any of the 10 commandments happen to be sin. These sins are defined both inside and outside the law. So, in other words because the Holy Spirit helps us overcome sin by default He will also help us not violate the sins listed in the 10 commandments but it's not thought of as the Holy Spirit helping us obey the law.
👍🏼 The Law is meant for the lawless (1 Timothy 1:9), that is, unbelievers. Believers make a serious mistake by focusing on the Law as their guide, instead of the Cross and Holy Spirit (Galatians 5:4) for their conduct.
In Deuteronomy 32:15 you said trespass means sin? Trespass means unfaithful or treacherous act, trespass against man/against God. Sin means to to sin, miss, miss the way, go wrong, incur guilt, forfeit, purify from uncleanness. If God wanted the word sin there it would say sin. Moses did a treacherous act against God.
@@faithonfireministries Is trespass a different word than sin? Yes, that was my point. Trespass is maʿal and sin is ḥāṭā'. They are two different words. Trespass and sin are separate. There was a sin offering and a trespass offering and one law.
Now I got you. Okay, interesting view. I'll look into that further but I always thought sin and trespasses were the same, which is why the Bible says in the Lord's Prayer, "forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us." However, I also am remembering now that Ephesians 2: 1 says He has quickened us who were dead in trespasses and sins." That certainly seems to imply they are different.
I believe all of the Bible. I am saying it is both historically accurate and there is also a spiritual lesson that translates perfectly over to the New Testament regarding salvation. That is why I called it a parable. You must realize that all Scripture is God-breathed. Jesus is the Word made flesh (John 1). He often spoke in parables. Why wouldn't we expect to see the author of Scripture also speak in parables in the Old Testament as well?
@@faithonfireministries I think I get where you're coming from, but one thing is unclear: So you do think that the historical Moses was literally denied entrance into the Promised Land, correct? The Old Testament seems to make it clear that he was denied entrance because he struck the rock instead of speaking to it. Are you saying that God actually denied him entrance just for the purpose of making a point about the Old and New Covenants, and not because of his actions? (I agree with you, by the way, that God's punishment for striking the rock instead of speaking to it has always seemed harsh.)
Moses represented the Law and Joshua represented grace. God chose Moses to give the Law and then God used his disobedience one time to exclude him from going into the Promised Land while all the Israelites who were also disobedient and grumbling about God far more often than Moses went in by grace following Joshua. The spiritual lesson from Genesis 3 onward over and over again is a true story that also illustrates to us that justification is by grace through faith and never of works of the law because all are found guilty under the law, even if by only one sin. I mentioned Genesis 3 because Adam and Eve had only one sin and they tried to cover their shame with fig leaves, a work of their own hands, but that would not do. So, God killed an innocent animal and clothed them with the skins, an act of God as Savior and by His grace and work He covered their shame. I'm not all that convinced that God was punishing Moses for striking the rock rather than speaking to the rock but in actuality was once again using Moses to illustrate a spiritual truth and Moses was willing. I'm sure Moses wanted to go into the Promised Land but he did what God wanted. When God told Moses to go to Pharaoh and free the Israelites Moses didn't want to go and leave his happy shepherding life of peace, but he went. Moses was obedient to God and stayed out of the Promised Land. I'm sure he could have said after all he has done this is unfair God so I'm going in there anyway, but he didn't.
@@faithonfireministries Thanks for the response. I can appreciate your willingness to engage your viewers. It's an interesting idea, and I understand your logic here, but I can't really square it with the text. 1 Cor. 10:4 does tell us that there's a spiritual dimension to the story, but in that the rock is Christ. One commentary says that the problem with Moses striking the rock a second time is that it is symbolic of Christ needing to be struck twice to atone for sin. For he didn't need to be struck twice; one sacrifice was sufficient for all time. It would seem that for your interpretation to be correct, Moses would've needed to make a secret agreement with God for the purpose of teaching a spiritual lesson. And yet, Deut. 20:12 gives us the precise reason for why God excludes Moses (and Aaron too, which is a little perplexing): "Because ye believed me not." It's a little difficult to connect Moses act of striking the rock with an actual lack of faith, but that is at least he language of the text. Interestingly enough, however, the reason God gives--a lack of belief--seems to quite contrary to the notion that God is trying to make a statement regarding the Law.
Modern Christians will often wrestle over doctrinal issues pertaining to the faith even though Jesus himself clearly instructs us to follow them. That is also the case with respect to the words of the Apostle Paul when referring to the deeds of the law. In particular, let's look at Paul's statement that "we are saved by faith through grace and not of ourselves; not of works, lest any man should boast." (Eph 2:8,9) Paul contrasts the necessity for faith with observances such as circumcision, food prohibitions, holy days, and other such laws. You will notice, however, that Paul never includes baptism in these discussions where justification or salvation are addressed. The Reformers took it upon themselves to define Paul's numerous citations referring to Jewish law as some form of general legalism when that is not the case. When referring to the deeds of the law, Paul is only addressing the practice of traditional Jewish law, meaning Rabbinic law in the Halakah. Keep in mind that in 60 AD when Paul was writing (or had already written) the majority of his epistles, the majority of Christian believers were Jewish. Paul feared that his Jewish converts might lose sight of the necessity for faith and lapse back into placing their trust in traditional Jewish law, what he called _the deeds of the law._ Paul's teaching on works had nothing to do with gentiles and everything to do with Jewish converts, so his caution was only relevant to the Jews. Proof of this is that Paul never admonished Jewish converts to cease practicing Jewish law, rather he taught that faith in Christ must be the precedent to law keeping. Most Protestant ministers teach that Paul's caution concerning works refers to every form of law, including the commandments, when in fact Paul himself refutes this. In Romans 3:31, Paul warns that we are _not_ free to ignore God's law, and in Galatians 5:19-21 he lists those behaviors that will prevent us from entering heaven. We can see how this listed of unsavory activities, while having nothing to do with traditional Jewish laws found in the Halakah, are indeed a violation of one or more of the ten commandments. In other words, Paul is in agreement with Jesus in Mark 10:19 that we must keep the commandments in order to inherit eternal life! Unfortunately, the doctrine of faith alone often leads Christian believers into apostasy, thus they do not endure and ultimately forfeit their salvation. God bless.
In Deuteronomy 32:51-52 God gives the reason that Moses was not permitted to enter the Promised Land: “This is because . . . you broke faith with me in the presence of the Israelites at the waters of Meribah Kadesh in the Desert of Zin and because you did not uphold my holiness among the Israelites. Therefore, you will see the land only from a distance; you will not enter the land I am giving to the people of Israel.” You all need to consider that our salvation doesn’t mean that we could, without any consequences, break the law and live in sin. What is the great falling away and who are those, whose names are blotted out of the Book of Life? You were saved and bought for a reason. Don’t be like the lazy servant!
Read Numbers 20. Bitterness can affect a lot of people and then there is strife, and I believe this affected Moses in an adverse way, and what God wanted from him was for him to be sanctified in his heart before he took any ministry action out of strife, contention, or bitterness, which things are not in Christ. (see 1 Peter 3:15) He was told to speak to the rock in the presence of the people, and he spoke concerning the people and smote the rock twice. This was displeasing to the Lord. That being said, yes Moses represents the law and the law was the law was the law, and it wasn't much about mercy, so under the law not much mercy was shown and so anyone under the law and all about the law, well....one might not find so much mercy, being under the law.
Grace saves. God chose to save by grace through obedience to him. Obedience by faith. All of the Israelites did not enter the promised land. Most, which is to say all but two, who left Egypt did not arrive in the promised land. They wandered until they fell dead not obtaining the promise through unbelief. I agree that Moses was prohibited from entering the promised land as a symbol but otherwise, he obviously is saved. But I'm not sure you get the full effect of that parable. Moses represented... the law yes... but he represented a temporary law. A law that is not applicable in the life to come. Because it governs the flesh. And we know that flesh and blood shall not inherit the kingdom of God. But there is a law that we will be subject to in the life to come and it is that law that Jesus uses to save us. The scriptures say it like this... for the law of the spirit of life in Christ has freed us from the law of sin and death. That law is called the eternal law of faith. I didn't give it that name the scripture does.
It sounds like you are saying obedience to the law results in grace being given by God and grace is not granted to those who are disobedient to the law. 3 questions for you: 1. How is that not earning grace, which makes grace cease to be grace but a reward that is earned? 2. Are you now perfectly obedient to the law of God and all the commandments of God in your life? 3. If your answer to that was yes, then what happens to the grace God granted you, the forgiveness of sins and gift of eternal life if tomorrow you mess up and transgress the law (sin)?
@@faithonfireministries * It sounds like you are saying obedience to the law results in grace being given by God * You are preconditioned to hear things based upon skepticism. The scriptures tell us that it is noble to hear with readiness of mind and to confirm or reject based upon investigation. You can't promote, as from me, something I did not say. I will never be cajoled into defending a position that I did not take. But, I will clarify my position. * grace is not granted to those who are disobedient to the law. * Misunderstanding almost always starts at the fundamental level. There are two styles of existence which compete against each other. There is the way of the flesh and the way of the spirit. And there are two bodies of law each serving a distinctly different purpose because each is imposed upon the two competing styles of existence. You have the law which governs the flesh and you have the law which governs the spirit. One set of laws is temporary because what it governs is temporary. The other set of laws is eternal because what it governs is eternal (spiritual) life. The law of the spirit of life in Christ frees us from the law which results in sin and death by sin. That law of the spirit is faith. The law of Moses was not given to bring eternal life. But the law of faith will give us eternal life when we obey what we learn from Christ saves us. What did Christ say saves us? He that believes and is baptized shall be saved. He that does not believe will be condemned. The law (of sin and death) came by Moses but grace and truth came by Jesus christ.
And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but He that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven. John Chapter 3, KJV No. Moses did not go to heaven after he died and neither did anyone else, prior to the finished Work of Christ on the Cross; as all people who had ever died, including Moses and Elijah, were legally bound under the reign of death, both during life and thereafter. Men like Moses had faith in the hope of a better resurrection, wherein they would eventually be able to receive the promises made; but, prior to the completion of Christ's Work, man was still in bondage to sin and death and therefore in a state of separation from God that was irreconcilable outside of the then, yet to be realized, redemptive Work of God through Christ. There can be no honest misunderstanding of the hereinbefore quoted Words of Jesus. Moses slept in death, just as did all of mankind. God Bless.
How do you explain Moses and Elijah with Jesus on the mount of transfiguration in 3 of the Gospels? In the Luke 9 account it specifically says Moses and Elijah appeared in glory (doxa) which is the same Greek word used for glory in 1 Corinthians 15: 43 when Paul is describing our new bodies in heaven which are now corruptible but will then be incorruptible, "raised in glory" (doxa).

Moses disobeyed instructions to speak to the rock but smote it and for that mistake he was denied entrance into promised land but that does not mean Moses is not saved. He Moses slipped up but he did not go in rebellion against God and therefore he stayed faithfull also we have repentance to fix it. I think Brian is really analyzing this event cause somebody put story of Moses as a proof that OSAS is faulty doctrine but Moses is definetly saved as any othetr prophet who wrote the books in the bible so this event about Moses slipup is pretty bad argument would be against OSAS.
I affirmed in this video very early on how great Moses was and how truly saved he obviously was being seen with Jesus on the mount of transfiguration in the New Testament and listed among the giants of the faith in Hebrews 11, so I'm not sure why you are making this comment. Did you watch the video for more than a few seconds? On a side note, I absolutely affirm OSAS because it is so obvious in Scripture as salvation and sanctification are not the same, nor is anyone expected to be sanctified as a precondition requirement for salvation despite so many false teachers who present a gospel of works that way. However, I don't think I mentioned anything about OSAS in this video at all. This video is not about OSAS but it is about being saved by grace through faith as opposed to being saved by works and the deeds of the law.
@@faithonfireministries I watched your video but had a question for myself that iswhy you were even talking about Moses and that event in Meraba,? My reply to that question was that maybe someone used that event as argument against OSAS and that is why you made this video. You know I do not agree the way OSAS is interpreted or teached by most but I agree that no one can take away Salvation from a man but a man can exercise freewill and forfeit his Salvation himself. I see Salvation as two way street were is will of God and there is a will of man which we call freewill and then the will of God is perfect and unbreakable but a man is tempted till he dies for a reason that if man chooses sin over God even at the point when he is christian then he will loose his Salvation and the mark of the beast and blasphemy of Holy Spirit as unpardonable sin is proof of that view.
The enemy is unbelief which kept them out of the Promised Land for 40 years. They entered by God's Grace and was "given" the land according to Scripture. The fight belonged to the Lord who guaranteed victory by His power. They just needed to believe and move forward in faith. Likewise, salvation belongs to the Lord is what Scripture says. We just need to believe the Gospel of Christ and we are saved by His grace through faith.
@robertwheeler1158 "Very fanciful allegorical interpretation." Not sure if this was meant somewhat facetiously. But, many years ago, the Lord crossed my path with a Messianic Jewish Bible Teacher. An Orthodox Jew who had a shocking encounter with Jesus Christ in college. He opened my eyes to the allegories and Hebraisms in the Bible, especially the Old Testament. Jews use various techniques to exegete and interpret Scripture. Allegories are one (of four) major interpretation mechanisms. Our Messiah was/is a Middle Eastern carpenter, who thought and taught like a Hebrew... not a Western European cleric or scholar steeped in Greco-Roman thought.
@@JhutaNabiMany of the church fathers used an allegorical interpretation. But the problem with it is that you can read practically anything you want to into the text, and make it say what you want it to. The result is a theology that really isn't biblical.
@@robertwheeler1158 😂 the early church fathers? The ones who were closest to the apostles (and a firsthand understanding of Jesus and the Gospel)? While they weren’t infallible, I’d definitely look into how they processed the Scriptures. One person chooses to use paper currency, knowing the risk and informing oneself of handling counterfeits, while another just goes digital to avoid that risk. One avoids joining any church because of all the charlatans and false theology being peddled nowadays, but another does not allow that to stop them from finding a community of faith. Bottom line it’s only Holy Spirit who can keep us from error and deception (1 John 2:26-27).

Why did U keep silent even on Judas. U make videos, U need to reply. Fact is NO UNCLEAN THING CAN ENTER HEAVEN bc god is a holy God n he will also punish those who dwell in sin even if they believe in Jesus. Believe on Jesus only w/out repentance. It is safer to take the first option. Btw if u haven't sincerely repented n asked god to forgive u, you are living a miserable n empty life. Btw a born again believer will not agree to any form of sin, small or big n he will not want any part of it. He will hate it. Thts why I tell friends, do not send porn to me. Now the book of 1 jn should make sense Thts why Paul called such people SAINTS OF GALATIA, SAINTS OF EPHESUS etc. Btw believers have already found the narrow gate n we do not fear the afterlife. As for others, I would challenge them. If they are saved only by believing on Jesus, what there to stop them from murdering or robbing the bank? Will god welcome them.? If god does, then he is not god. So believing on Jesus appears like a licence to sin. But it's not. It's an ability to overcome sin n hate sin. I still need your reply on Judas. No reply means u are unsure of your beliefs. The holy spirit has been speaking to me often n it's always about repentance n avoiding sin. I feel great bc sin is always against god
We have a choice. We can get angry at God for allowing sin and evil and suffering in the world or we can get angry at Satan for influencing the world to do sin, evil and cause all the suffering. And as the other person said very wisely, why do we do nothing? Complaining doesn't count. Be the hands and feet of Jesus! Just remember, Jesus said what good is it to gain the world but lose your soul. Starving for food is very bad, but starving for spiritual life is even worse! Whatever trials and tribulations occur in this life, this life is a test, but it is short and eternity goes on forever. Pass the test by being a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ and you will live forever in absolute perfection where nobody starves or lacks a thing, and where there will no longer be any sin, evil or suffering. I'm looking forward to that!
I agree with your comment above that many people do great things to help starving kids and if not for their work and generosity so many more would suffer at the hands of other greedy evil men. A huge percentage of that generosity and work is done by Christians worldwide. That said, I disagree with your follow up comment to mine. Your question attempts to reduce God and his eternal plan down to that of a person (parent) so you can try to grasp and understand God's character through the lens of humanity and our relatively short lives and in worldly terms as if this life is all we got, and our daily provision and happiness is the paramount pursuit, but that disregards spiritual truths and eternity and God's plan of redemption for mankind. Sadly, your question seems to suggest that God is not a good Father if children starve despite that being a result of Satan's doing. All children who die go to heaven according to Matthew 18 and elsewhere in Scripture because they are deemed innocent before God and not held accountable to that which they can't comprehend and make a choice about. Perhaps that is one reason God allows Satan to commit such evil and injustice against children, as it delivers so many of them from this evil world into heaven where there is no hunger but only perfection and no such iniquity and evil ever again will be done against them forever. Also, let me give you a far worse scenario than the one you asked about. Imagine a wealthy parent who never lets their children go a day without full stomachs and then leaves them a great wealthy inheritance to cover them for the rest of their lives but had starved them to death of spiritual truths, never once reading the Bible to them and never once introducing them to Jesus Christ, the only Savior of the World. The children grow up and never go to church, scoffs at God and at Christians because they think it is all so silly. After all, their model of provision comes from wealthy parents and money buying temporary and fleeting happiness. What more could they ever want than what their parent's gave them? Yet, eternal hell-fire awaits them and already has their parents, and that is the real tragedy.

This is the reason God didn’t allow Moses into the promise land , not because of some man made ideology; Deuteronomy 32:50-52-50 There on the mountain that you have climbed you will die and be gathered to your people, just as your brother Aaron died on Mount Hor and was gathered to his people. 51 This is because both of you broke faith with me in the presence of the Israelites at the waters of Meribah Kadesh in the Desert of Zin and because you did not uphold my holiness among the Israelites. 52 Therefore, you will see the land only from a distance; you will not enter the land I am giving to the people of Israel.”
You obviously didn't watch the video. I put the verses on the screen and read them, Deut 32: 51,52 right around the middle of this video and discussed it. If people are not willing to watch a video they should refrain from making assumptions and accusations of supposed man-made ideologies because they didn't watch what was actually discussed nor did they bother to see the Scriptures provided to support the Biblical view taught. Commenting with false accusations without watching is knowingly bearing false witness against another.
What? No sir! A person who is new to Christianity and ignorant of most of the Bible including about Moses will still be saved if all they come to know and believe this moment is that Jesus Christ died for them, was buried and rose from the dead proving He was who He claimed to be, God made flesh to save all who believe in Him, conquering sin and death on their behalf. They are justified before God and their sins are washed away by His blood and they receive the gift of God which is eternal life.
God judges because He is a perfectly Holy and Righteous judge. I will not question His judgements. In this instance, despite Scripture in English saying it is children in verse 23, there is evidence that the Hebrew word "naar" is not actually referring to children because it is used elsewhere in Scripture to mean young men. That makes more sense in this context because the sort of mocking from them is more consistent with the rest of the Old Testament when we see men mocking and hating God's prophets, many whom they killed, rather than the sort of silly mocking children do towards adults sometimes. The 42 "naar" clearly demonstrated they wished the prophets of God were dead and that is what their mocking was about. They witnessed Elijah ascend into heaven and now they are yelling at Elisha saying they wish the same would happen to him because they don't want to be under the righteous judgement of any of God's prophets. They are glad Elijah is gone and now they want Elisha gone too. God gave them exactly what was in their own hearts (death). They wished Elisha dead and instead Elisha cursed them and two bears attacked them and killed them. Let's just be thankful that we live in the age of grace thanks to Jesus Christ who postpones judgement and we have ample opportunity to come to faith in Him and have all our sins washed away, forgiven and given the gift of God which is eternal life.
Yep, I understand why you say that. I know from your other comment you have a chip on your shoulder against God for any number of reasons of injustice around the world, and I'm guessing probably some deep personal reasons as well you are mad at God rather than at Satan. However, 1 Corinthians 1: 18 says, "For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God." I'd invite you to reconsider who you should be mad at and whom can deliver you from the bitterness and set you on path towards glory forever and ever.
Thank you, brother.
That's very interesting. Even the Law-Giver couldn't keep the law.
This is very much appreciated. I continue to come across legalistic Christians that forget that Christ is the fulfillment of the law and continue to push works based salvation. God bless you brother.
Thanks! God bless you!
People are still pushing that nonsense? Paul even preached against that.
Law vs Grace. NO ONE makes it in by being perfect. Because no one but Jesus is perfect.

Great message.

Yes, Brian! 👍🏼
This video is amazing, simple and clear and deep. I love the last question as well. ❤🙌🏻✝️
That was a rich teaching! Thank you!
If you are justified by the law, God has to hold you to the letter of the law. Moses should have spoken to the rock. Good message!
Excellent break down brother,,thank you.

Good teaching brother.
Why do people think grace is a NT teaching ?
Genesis 6:8 (KJV)
But Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD.
Exodus 33:12 (KJV)
And Moses said unto the LORD, See, thou sayest unto me, Bring up this people: and thou hast not let me know whom thou wilt send with me. Yet thou hast said, I know thee by name, and thou hast also found grace in my sight.
Grace has been from the beginning.
- Grace, is the mercy of time ; and, time is as the mercy within grace... ...
God bless!

Nice background , what kind of sword is it ?
That is a U.S. Marine Corp sword. It was my Dad's. His picture is on that shelf below the sword when he was retired and wearing his red Marine Corp League uniform.
Acctually Joshua is called IESOUS (exactly as Jesus is called IESOUS) in the Greek Old Testament translation called the Septuagint. So, in Greek both carry the same name! This is to underline what the video says. Thank you very much, and God bless you!
👍🏻
Part of it is temporal chastisement, but you are getting the bid picture right.
I’ve always wondered how “Free Grace” would be effective in evangelism. It seems to be fully permissive to any and all sinful behavior.
That is such a great observation of yet another spiritual truth. God bless you!
👍🏼
The Law is meant for the lawless (1 Timothy 1:9), that is, unbelievers.
The Bible defines sin in 1 John 3: 4, “Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.”
This is quite interesting, but please clarify: Are you allegorizing the Old Testament and saying that it's not actually historical?
In particular, let's look at Paul's statement that "we are saved by faith through grace and not of ourselves; not of works, lest any man should boast." (Eph 2:8,9)
Paul contrasts the necessity for faith with observances such as circumcision, food prohibitions, holy days, and other such laws.
Paul feared that his Jewish converts might lose sight of the necessity for faith and lapse back into placing their trust in traditional Jewish law, what he called _the deeds of the law._
Paul's teaching on works had nothing to do with gentiles and everything to do with Jewish converts, so his caution was only relevant to the Jews.
John Chapter 3, KJV
No.
Just to be clear. Moses did enter the Promised Land. Read the Transfiguration narrative in the Gospels.
The secret parable of Charleton Heston🤣
Do you think young people still recognize Charleton Heston as Moses anymore or am I dating myself?
The blame of life disappears failure knowledge we stop feeding it like worms of evaluation big bangs or mystery of I AM all things of imaginations real first cause began will end dreams, visions, end with time can't enter timelessness by flesh worries about death ends mortal tales tares can't end never began Eternal never ends unbelief does.
Missing two facts.
Moses destroyed a type of Christ
The promised land had battles to fight--no enemies in Heaven.

Very fanciful allegorical interpretation.
@robertwheeler1158 "Very fanciful allegorical interpretation."
Not sure if this was meant somewhat facetiously.
@@robertwheeler1158
😂 the early church fathers? The ones who were closest to the apostles (and a firsthand understanding of Jesus and the Gospel)? While they weren’t infallible, I’d definitely look into how they processed the Scriptures.
One person chooses to use paper currency, knowing the risk and informing oneself of handling counterfeits, while another just goes digital to avoid that risk. One avoids joining any church because of all the charlatans and false theology being peddled nowadays, but another does not allow that to stop them from finding a community of faith. Bottom line it’s only Holy Spirit who can keep us from error and deception (1 John 2:26-27).
Robert, do you understand the difference between a parable and an allegory?
@@faithonfireministriesNot really.
Our Sunday friend just discovered a new heresy! Yes, we don't get saved by the law, but if the law is the standard by which judgment is passed, we neither get saved WITHOUT the law!
Are you a Seventh Day Adventist?
@@faithonfireministries I am. Any more questions? If not, I have. Who's first? You, or me?
Thought so given your "Sunday friend" reference and ridiculous Pharisaical statement that goes directly against the true Gospel. Thanks for confirming your belong to a cult.
@@faithonfireministries I expected a little more from a person who seem so respectful towards Calvinists. I was expecting a question, not an insult. Isn't that what I asked for? I guess the Apostle Paul must've also belonged to a cult because he was accused of heresies in his days. Since you don't have a question for me, I'll ask you a short, simple and straightforward YES/NO question:
Acts 24:14 -- Are the fathers which Apostle Paul refers to from the OLD TESTAMENT?
If your answer is yes, how can Apostle say he believe the law if the law was nailed to the cross?
Talk to me friend‼️ Would you like I come on your show and give you a spiritual beating you won't forget for the rest of your natural life? Faith on Fire⁉️ Really⁉️ Faith alone⁉️ I must've misunderstood Rev 14:12 when it identifies WHO the saints are:
...commandments of God *AND* the faith of Jesus 🤔
Show me your faith without works (law/commandments) and I show you my faith *AND* law/commandments (works)
Wasn't it the same Apostle Paul in Acts 24:14 that also wrote:
THE JUST SHALL LIVE BY FAITH
Have you checked your Greek lately for "just"⁉️ How about your Webster's 1828⁉️ Talk to me my dear pagan‼️
This is not a parable n nothing is hidden. Btw entering the promised land does not mean tht the israelites were entering heaven or tht the promised land represented heaven.
Spoken like a natural man who cannot comprehend spiritual truths. If you read the Bible in the flesh like a history books of facts instead of knowing this is the Living Word of God that speaks and reveals spiritual truths to believers then it is no surprise to me that you find this video to be very strange.
@@faithonfireministries U haven't replied on many comments. I just wanted U to reply on Judas. Since Judas believed on Jesus for about 3 years, he should be in heaven even if he hanged himself. Because U believe in saved by faith thru grace. N it's the same as saying tht all fornicators, murderers, adulterers, liars, pedophiles, idolaters, etc can inherit heaven just because they once believed on Jesus.
Why did U keep silent even on Judas. U make videos, U need to reply. Fact is NO UNCLEAN THING CAN ENTER HEAVEN bc god is a holy God n he will also punish those who dwell in sin even if they believe in Jesus. If U cannot see this while reading the bible, then u are working with the enemy. I'm in the spirit n the spirit teaches me jn 14. U are spreading the wrong message to the world.
For now know this. If I am wrong about ONCE SAVED ALWAYS SAVED, and I believe tht all must repent of sin, with believing in Jesus, I can still enter heaven. But if U are wrong about the repentance of sin, then u cannot enter heaven even if U died believing on Jesus. Take your pick.
When Jesus taught DEPART FROM ME, I NEVER KNEW U, he was speaking about Christians who thought they were doing god's work, casting out demons in Jesus' name etc.
Why did Jesus teach DEPART, I NEVER KNEW U to Christians, who believed on Jesus? Why? Something else is necessary to enter his kingdom. And hypocrites n sinners will remain outside the gates.
Those who are born again or born of god do not sin 1jn. God keeps them. Why do U think john wrote the book of 1 jn.
Why would Jesus say to anyone He never knew them if they were saved by Him for a short time but then they lost their salvation?
@@faithonfireministries your reply is exactly what U should ponder n ask why. Those who cast out demons in Jesus' name are Christians. So why should Jesus say to them I NEVER KNEW YOU. Because they were professing Christians thinking they were doing god's work but had unrepented sins.
I put 2 scenarios to U in my last comment.
1. Believe on Jesus n repent.
2. Believe on Jesus only w/out repentance.
It is safer to take the first option.
Btw if u haven't sincerely repented n asked god to forgive u, you are living a miserable n empty life. Thts how it feels for born again believers. N when u turn back to god, life becomes normal again. Thts how true believers in the spirit operate.
First repent of sin, then undo what u hv done by spreading the false message of the enemy, tht hurt god. God said to Moses, BE CAREFUL, DO NOT TURN TO THE LEFT OR RIGHT. So be careful.
@@faithonfireministries believing on Jesus n sincerely repenting of sin puts u in a position tht u cannot imagine. God really keeps u and u are sure tht the holy spirit indwells in u and u are sure tht u are saved. Really sure. As for others I'm also very sure tht they do not hv this assurance feeling n thts why they feel empty.
15,000 children die from starvation each and everyday and god does nothing? your thoughts?
Why do we do nothing?
@@dorismahoney1440 we do if not for man it would be 30,000 a day
We have a choice.
@@faithonfireministries Ok lets try like this If I let my child die from starvation what would that make me?

This is the reason God didn’t allow Moses into the promise land , not because of some man made ideology;
Deuteronomy 32:50-52-50 There on the mountain that you have climbed you will die and be gathered to your people, just as your brother Aaron died on Mount Hor and was gathered to his people.
You must meet Moses before you can meet Christ. This is ABC, get a bit of depth.
What?
God Murders 42 Kids - 2 Kings 2:23-25 you thoughts?
